Unpopular opinion thread

I love the Flakker.

I really like Claptrap.

I dislike Vladof weapons.

I hate the Grog Nozzle.

I am not a fan of almost any hyperion weapon, except for a select few (CC, Bitch, and kind of Slowhand). I did enjoy hyperion quite a but in BL1. Hyperion Cold Torments were my jam. I also really don’t care for the ladyfist

The DPUH is completely unnecessary. I will take any accessory over it.

Perfect parts don’t matter except on a few shotguns where the foregrip is necessary (Swordsplosion, slowhand, ect.)

Ditto on that! My favorite place to test out mobbing builds

Moxxi weapons are overrated, and not really needed on most toons.

The Flakker is my favorite weapon for Maya

You are literally blowing my mind right now. :astonished:

Scorn builds are inferior to SS builds ( is that popular or unpopular?)

Thanks to wreck , foresight, and inertia it’s tons of fun. Throw on a leg binder and you are golden!

I’m not a fan of subsequence. Is that unpopular?

I like Tiny Tina (seems to be an unpopular opinion, heh!) Even worse, I like Pickle from TPS, heh. And yes, I love Clappy too.

I really like the Hammerlock DLC. It doesn’t seem to get much love but I really like the atmosphere of it plus ol’ Sir Hammy is one of my favorite NPCs. Torgue’s is my favorite DLC though (thanks to Mr. Torgue himself, another favorite NPC, and the return to the classic Borderlands desert environment), and I’m not the biggest fan of TTAoDK. It’s clever and well executed but it’s just not my cup o’ grog, pun intended.

I don’t especially love running the Peak and I don’t especially love playing at OP levels. 99.9999% of the time I play at 72/OP0. (That said, I’ve done it all there and gotten to OP8 just to experience all the game has to offer, content-wise.)

Edit: just thought of another one: Maya is FAR FAR hotter than Moxxi.

That’s popular. Most players hate SS due to its unreliable projectile, and long cooldown due to Phaselock not ending immediately after an enemy death.

I dislike the Hail and Sandhawk. Like, a lot.

I like Chere-Amie.
I like Claptrap.
I think Grog Nozzle shouldn’t exist (but I still use it, because it does).
I don’t like Digi peak.
I think Hunter’s grotto is a really cool area.
This is a nice thread idea (this is probably and hopefully not unpopular).

I actually do like to use SS, but going down that far in that skill tree takes too much away from one of the other trees… I cannot go without Ruin and going without Scorn feels weird to me now.

A couple more from me:

  • I swear by Unf0reseen (Zer0 skill). Never leave home without it after the '15 buff it got.
  • Hyperion snipers are actually pretty good (someone is going to find out where I live for this).
  • Wedding day massacre is the second best headhunter after Wam Bam (I’ve understood the humor in that one gets under peoples skin a bit).
  • I always do builds that use legendary COMs. I want that cool title and +5 buffs on multiple skills. I never play with blue COMs.

I hate the Norfleet

You what, mate? Aside from their AR’s I’d say that’s my favorite manufacturer in BL2 and TPS (used to be Jakobs).

But we all have our preferences. I tend to stay away from most things that have the name Dahl on them.

I like the Unforgiven and Elephant Gun.

I like the Elephant gun a lot too. But I do admit to not using it much at all because I think the slow fire rate is just too annoyingto work with.

  • I like using the Sawtooth Cauldron exploit for LLM farming better than Doctor’s Orders.

  • While I can play on OP8 successfully, I hate playing on anything past OP3. The constant challenge and intensity is too stressful to me. I prefer to play at lower levels because it allows me to play casually, but not without intermittent points of intensity.

  • I never use slag. (mostly because I forget about it)

  • I hate using Death Trap as anything but a distraction or second wind assist. He just doesn’t suit my playstyle enough to warrant any merit.

Just like with the Flakker you can bypass that by quickly swapping weapons, though I never practice it.
