Upcoming Patch Notes, per BB Sub Reddit

“After the initial burst at launch, they are seeing steadily increasing numbers of players across all platforms. Acknowledges the Overwatch beta has had impact, believes that BB’s numbers will tick up as a result of the beta ending. “ [/quote]

That’s a lie, Steamcharts shows that Battleborn looses players every day, from 12k on May 4. to 5k on May 18.

Steam charts don’t count console or non-steam-account players.

I think he was focusing on this part,

Which technically it’s true and outside of consoles, can you play BB on the PC without using Steam ?

I don’t think so.
Now its only 4.5k, its sad that the game is dying so fast but many people told them what things need to be fixed after the beta and how bad the marketing is and basally nothing changed.

Its actually not even 2k right now…
Dont care what people say but going down to the 1k figure on less than 3 weeks… Its ok having a small community but there are limits, specially when even BL2 has atm 4x more players, tbh that speaks volumes for itself.

People who say that games function fine with small cozy communities don’t realize that this game in particular by design requires a “big ugly scary community”. I don’t like them either, but there are necessary evils in order for some things to function.

I would hope you can. I know a few PC gamers that refuses to play anything on Steam.

This may be a stupid question so I do apologize. But for Galilea, when it says desecrate only applies cc on initial use, that means just the first time she uses it per match? just want to make sure im understanding. sorry

I suppose this means it only applies CC when it’s used - not during the actual duration of the skill. so basically someone who would enter the desecrate after it’s launched wouldn’t suffer the CC, meaning that you would have to use it when you’re already on contact rather than pre-emptively.

Not a Galilea player so I could understand it wrong too. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh okay. that makes much more sense. thank you!

I see basic game performance issues as something that should have been on point before release, there really is no excuse, and they still are not addressing this. Game should release when they are finished, not release@75% charge full price and then fix/ don’t fix things after release as we see fit.

This happens in a lot of games though. Dont know if you are a fan of GTA 5 but when that first came out GTA Online was broke as hell. Took a month I think maybe more for Gta Online to be up an running. And the Heist DLCs? those were promised day one and for a while we gave up on the idea those were even coming. took over a year.

Most games when released have bugs or some sort of issues that need to be fixed. Just the way it’s been. Overall I have been happy with Battleborn, at least as a mainly solo player. I know there have been multiple pvp issues and Im glad they are working to fix them.

Hopefully all the issues will be fixed soon so everyone can enjoy the game.

Except gta online isn’t gta v.

Gta v was a complete product at release. Gta online is its own thing, with its own issues.

There’s no gta v in battleborn.

That is a bit of an odd statement to compare GTA 5 launch to BB. GTA5 is offline single player the multiplayer is extra. The single player worked flawless at release.

Most games have bugs, you do not need to tell me that. I have been gaming since I was 5 years old, some 30 years now, I used to be employed as a game tester and I develop games as a hobby. I know the difference between bugs at launch and damn right terrible performance bugs that should have never made it to launch.

Hoping for something to be fixed is akin to hoping to win the lottery. Gearbox’s silence on these issues only makes the matter worse.
