It’s not about downloading it over night, BB will take up almost 10% of the entire families internet for the month basically using up everyone’s internet for those few days. You are missing the point.
Thank you, I will look into that!
What?..
I live in australia.
I’m with Telstra Internet.
I mean What the Hell?
I bought this game and season pass and 5 DLCs as a download.
I downloaded it in one day.
And that was last week…
Edit:
I do not have NBN.
I am only on 100gb per month.
I’m on Xbox One.
Downloads certainly eat up a lot, I know when I downloaded the beta alone, it took a fair chunk out of my download data (and took about an hour to download)…
But thankfully my internet provider (iiNet) allows me to buy ‘data packs’, so if I hit my cap, for a small extra fee ($10-$15) I can buy a little extra data to get me through so Im not slowed down to snail speed until my next monthly top up…
Maybe have your fiancé chat with their internet provider and see what they offer, being a long term customer really should matter these days when it comes to consumer flexibility (even though big companies act like it doesn’t)… Otherwise, consider switching over to a new provider (if not locked into a contract - can be pricey and painful)…
Also have your fiancé research the NBN in their area (before switching, if they arent already on the NBN), while it may be the new best thing, it isn’t the best option is all areas of Australia yet, some places the NBN is actually running slower and worse speeds than ADSL, lots of customers complaining and providers having to apologise…
Good luck!
Also, I have a PS4, and I think I only have like 40gb (I think?) data a month… So, not all that impressive, I’m gonna need more if I’m going to play Battleborn as much as I think I will, haha.
Then the xbox one version must have the predownload earlier. On ps4 you can’t download till the 2nd.
I just looked that up, because that seemed crazy small, and apparently iiNet’s plans do go as low as 50GB. $20 a month extra to triple that might be worthwhile if you’re about to get hooked on online gaming.
Sidenote: what’s up with every Aussie on these forums playing on console? You mob oughta come hang out with me on PC. It’s cool here. We’ve got snacks.
australian internet sucks. lol. come live three days with mexican internet and you’ll adore australian internet like it was the last star in the universe - zing!.
Im one of those ‘lazy tax’ kind of people, I’ve been with them for ages, just keep paying the bill but never actually checking how their plans/prices have changed…
I also pay for a home phone plan I pretty much NEVER use, but have it ‘just in case’, um… Why have a mobile phone then? (Which is all I ever use pretty much, to call and text)… because lazy tax… stop being lazy me and reorganise your bills/contracts… I’ll have to call them and say “hey, upgrade me!” for sure…
And I’ve always been a console gamer… But snacks is tempting!
Oh Wow chork one up for Xbox
I tell you something really confusing.
Australian goverments are rolling out NBN network accross australia.
NBN stands for National Broadband Network.
WTF
Australia has had NBN for the last 50 years.
Talk about reinventing the Wheel all over again.
To my knowledge witch is not much, Australian goverment for the last 5 years has been rolling out Glass fiber internet cables to replace the metal wires.
Since when has Glass become a better conductor of power then metal?
The whole thing makes no logic because these glass cables are to quicken up the internet.
That’s a load of Hog wash.
If you want faster internet You need to pay your internet service provider to push faster internet to your home.
Some one correct me my limited knowledge if I’m wrong as I strongy feel the Wool pulled over my eyes on this matter.
lol have a google of a little thing called fibre optics. Which is faster, speed of light or speed of electrons through copper?
Australia gets a lot of Earth moving.
Witch cracks faster glass cables or copper.
When glass cracks its stuffed right?
this is not the right place to have this convo, you where right about the wool though mate haha do some research in your own time and you can decide for yourself which is better.
Yes you are correct party.
This Form topic is Austraian Internet sucks.
I’ll stop.
Currently only about 15% percent of Australia has access to NBN. While governments of all sides quibble about money we keep slipping in the world standings. I’m pretty sure we are actually worse off than mexico.
Nobody quibbled about investing in the railways in the 19th century. Nobody has worried about investing in the internet, either, in EVERY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. It really is ridiculous.
The fact is that the upgrades required to copper is going to cost more in the long run than going straight to fibre would have cost. Most of this stuff has been kept out of the media though, as the government has specifically barred reporting negative facts about FTTN.
On topic. GBX can’t fix out crappy internet, so as long as we live here we have to deal with it.
love it.
funny as hell.
thats because the other 85% is desert. And since i downgraded to 200 mbps my cap i think is 500, which is not enough. I went through 5-600 a month. Luckily suddenlink just started unlimited internet for an extra 5 bucks a month. in fact, a rep came knocking on my door a few weeks ago, trying to sell me suddenlink cable.
already have it.
well what about our internet. - have it
we just started unlimited internet - grins - have it
but we just started it monday. yeah and she signed up for it as soon as y’all posted about it on fb.
well, have a nice day.
The vast majority of Australians live along the coast, not in desert areas.
“a full 35% of Australia receives so little rainfall, it is classified as desert. 70% of the country is classified as arid or semi-arid, which means it gets less than 500 mm of rain a year.” < Australia is not as much of a desert as people think lol. Though, I do live in an arid region and we can go more than half a year without a rain, the locals here classify this as a desert region.
But we still have NBN, in fact NBN is in many isolated rural country towns!
it was a joke, i know all that:P
Oh… Sorry xD
Some people from other countries literally believe that Australia is a desert full of animals that want to kill you and desecrate your corpse.
Drop bears, used that on tourists several times and many actually belueve it O.O
