Now THAT we can agree on :slightly_smiling_face:

I never farmed Craw, was his drop rate really low? I only played BL1 to solo kill him lol

Yeah, the drop rates were extremely low, for pearls, anyway. Legendaries weren’t bad.

The three green Dahl ammo chests can contain Loot Midgets.

There are two on the upper level to the left (as you enter The Arsenel) of Uranus,

and one on the lower level to the right of Uranus.

Opening those three chests after 15 kills of Uranus produced three Legendary Loot Midgets.

Legendary Loot Wee WAR Loader on the second Uranus kill.

Legendary Loot Midget Engineer on the seventh Uranus kill.

Legendary Loot Wee GUN Loader on the ninth Uranus kill.

Uranus farm starts about 50 minutes into this video.

Question for folks farming the Ironic Giant: what’s your legendary drop rate looking like? Are you getting 1 legendary a run, 1 in 10 runs on average, more than 1 drop per run?

In my experience, I get, on average, one per run. That doesn’t mean I will always get one, though. I’ve gotten more than one in a run and up to three, with a pearl. I always check the red box at the end of the hallway right across from the elevator. I have picked up a handful of pearls from that box.

I think it’s more rare that Uranusbot doesn’t drop a Legendary or higher than it is to get at least one. The only true guarantee to get a legendary or above is Hadarax because of the chests. I have yet to beat him on OP10 with Maya yet.

8 of 10 times I get a Legendary. 1 in 10 times I get a pearl. 1 in 5 I get a rainbow, though those are occasionally skins that I already have, useful rainbows are probably 1 in 7.
Two legendaries is pretty frequent (I don’t have a number), multiples of others I have not seen.

It’s somewhat uncommon that I don’t get at least one legendary from the bot. Without any hard numbers, it “feels” like about 80% of the time I get at least one. And like @korben44 mentioned, I always check the red chest in the elevator hallway too. Might just be RNG but it seems like that chest is better than your average red chest. Those four upright Hyperion chests seem to have better loot than your garden variety white chests too, I’ve gotten a couple blue and purple shields from them while leveling up my Zer0 via Uranus XP farming. And now, I always check those Dahl ammo chests. Last night I got a double LLM from the two upstairs on one run.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned elsewhere in this thread or otherwise, but double rainbows (heh) can happen. I’ve gotten an E-chair and a skin at once, and one time I got two skins.

Thanks for the responses. I haven’t been actively farming the big bot because my characters are still levelling or not yet started the DLC campaign. I was curious though since on the runs I’ve done the loot has been a bit underwhelming compared to Cassius. I haven’t done any extensive farming on him, either, but so far he’s been more generous (got 4 legendaries in a single run the other night!)

Congratulations on that. Cassius is generous indeed, but the Bot has one thing going for him: starting from the Fire Control Alpha spawnpoint it takes about 40 seconds to reach Uranus without a single enemy between Vault Hunter and target Bot.
It’s hard to find better farming conditions, with the exception of farming the Warrior.

On legendary frequency from what I find, @RavenOfArisia s numbers sound right. Most runs yield at least one legendary item. Up to now, for the few attempts without finding one there’s always a try with multiple legendaries or legendary/pearlescent or a rainbow item sprinkled in.

I oftentimes prefer farming Cassius, because although he doesn’t have quite as much loot potential as Uranus, the stuff he does drop will be at your level. That said, I’ve had some very generous drops from Cassius.

Good point. If you quit-restart at the one-way FT near Cassius, he doesn’t respawn.

How I farm Cassius is, I go through the map and slog it out with the mobs and clear them all out. Then I fight Cassius, and then I fast travel out of the map via the one-way one, and then right back to the map (at the start of course because you have no choice.) Then I just run through the mob-free map til I get to Cassius, and he respawns. I can usually do this a handful of times before the mob-respawn timers are up and they start respawning.

I think I may spend more time looking for loot that he throws around than the time it takes to kill Uranus.

It is difficult to prove nonexistance.

My best run so far is The Electric Chair, two Legendaries, two Pearls, and a Legendary Siren Class Mod in the Hyperion Red chest.

Open the three Dahl ammo crates and you might get a Loot Midget, so that can meet your Relic needs. I have been getting about one every five Uranus kills, but that has only been a small number of tests.

Since I am using Fleet, I also waste time running past the two vending machines and down the hall to the Hyperion Red and Yellow chests next to the red Claptrap in the glass case (in the Moonshot Complaint Department).

Haven’t really kept count of exactly how many drops per run, but for me the average run drops 2 Legends, and Pearls are much rarer (2 in a 2 hour farm), I have listed what I’ve gotten in timed drops in the “Loot finds of the Day” thread.

Damn will have to start checking those boxes

Congrats, I’ve got up to 3 Legends in a drop a few times,

My previous numbers were UVHM.
Just did some farming in NVHM and the results are significantly lower.
10 runs. 2 legendaries (a rolling thunder and a nasty surprise, thanks a bunch) and one rainbow technical skin.
Very stingy in NVHM.

OP6 Hammer Buster, Rapid Infinity, Contingent Invader, Bonus Bunny, Corrosive Nasty Surprise, and Shock Nasty Surprise drop by L90 Uranus.

It’s handy to have some AOE grenades attacking Uranus when you’re doing battle. Turns out you can throw grenades before the battle begins.
As you run down the hall, just before you drop down into the fighting area there is an open panel in the roof.
Throw grenades through that before you drop down, and they’ll be punishing Uranus when you get there.
Quick vid below.

Larger sample of Uranus runs had 15 Legendary Loot Midgets pop out of the three green Dahl ammo crates after killing Uranus 100 times, or 1 out of every 20 crates.
