Are we still debating shields dropping from Uranus? I just found an Adaptive in the pile under him.
However, I did kill a couple of turrets for 2nd winds, so it theoretically could have dropped from one of those, I believe they have independent loot pools.
Anyway, is it still a question?

I’ve gotten several legendary shields from him. They aren’t as likely to drop as guns, nades, coms, and relics, but he does drop them.

If his loot pool is the same as LLM’s (which the dataminers say it is), then there should be some legendary shields in the mix, Bee, Sham, WTF, Cradle and maybe a few others I’m missing (dunno about Black Hole for example) but there’s less of them then legendary guns or grenades so you would expect to see less of them compared to the other classes of gear

edit: hmm maybe not, a look at the wiki says LLM’s can’t drop legendary shields, but unfortunately the BL2 wiki is not known for its accuracy…Leg shields can drop in the world drop pool so maybe that’s what we’re seeing as the world drop pool is also included in Uranus’ pool to my understanding, that would also explain why you are seeing them less often than other classes of gear

I farmed Uranus about 12 times this afternoon to build up my stock of lvl 41-44 gear and did indeed bless me with a WTF also. I didn’t even pick it up. He also dropped a rubberized pandemic and I learned something.
The technique I showed a number of days ago to toss grenades through the open panel before you drop down to fight Uranus does not work with rubberized grenades. A rubberized grenade kinda bounces off the open area as if there is something in the way and drops. Another reason why rubberized grenades stink.

Although Uranusbot is a great source of loot, I’m digging Haderax at the moment. Last night, he gifted me 6 legendary drops (three in the crates, three on the ground) and two effervescents (also in the crates). Uranus did drop a Slagga for me, but the one I already had was better.

I still haven’t beat Had on-level, I can take him down by setting OP0 and using OP6 guns, but that’s it. I still have dreams of making OP7 so I’ll wait until I either do that or give up to fight on level.

You could use Hector’s gas glitch… the one where you take your vehicle and park in front of Lt Bolson’s entrance, walk in to get ‘infected’, then jump in your vehicle while still ‘infected’ and it goes with you as long as you don’t go into another infected area. You get the damage increase effect where ever you go. It does wear off after a while, though. I used it on Haderax with Axton.

Looks like I need to revisit Uranus. I want to get a fire conference call so I can have a better chance at Haderax. Sorceror is being cheap at the moment.

Wouldn’t the Warrior be a better source for a conference call? I mean, a more consistent source, since Uranus drops so many different legendaries, pearls, etc…

Yes and no. At least the actual odds of any legendary dropping are much higher at Uranus. Farming the warrior will mean lots of purples and maybe sometimes a legendary. Though, I guess I should kill the sorceror 8 more times and the warrior 10 times before I try Uranus.

Well, tonight I switched allegiances back to Uranusbot… He dropped two critical butchers, a slagged avenger, and a balanced slagga in addition to spawning a LLM who dropped a relic…and that was all in one run… Lol… Damn that RNG…

While I definitely agree with you all, this is a great farming spot. Over 40 runs and two CC and two Infiniti pistols among other items. Problem is all non elemental. Will have to keep at it I guess.
One other note. Be honest. Let’s make sure people know that about half your runs will be worthless because randomly all the loot will be OP8 or OP9. When I see that I quit out immediately and start again. So that really slows the farming process down when half your runs are worthless

Try farming with a team. Even a mule who joins you in splitscreen will help the drop rates. All the Eridium you get will also help to increase backpack size on the mule, once you visit Earl again. Do not ignore the red chest across from the elevator. I received two legendary class mods in one run from the chest. Assuming I farm Uranus another thousand times, I’ll probably get a Sham, too. At least I hope.
