I found it next to impossible to make a comeback once either sides first sentry is gone in incursion. So far among the games i have played or seen comeback is “not real” in incursion. Do others also feel the same?

I’ve made a comeback in incursion, but you’re not wrong. The game mode has some flaws, while the map has major ones. It very much favors the offensive team.

Yeah, it’s incredibly snowbally because the enemies can destroy your turrets, accelerators and supply station and take them as their own. Not to mention your crystals, which makes it even harder to do anything.

It’s obvious that the Overgrowth map is made so the attacking team finishes the match as quickly as possible. I think it should made fairer for the defending team and the time limit increased to an hour. Some of the best matches I’ve ever had in multiplayer games were coming back from the brink of losing to win the game. Why rush it?

Personally I love the fact that it’s limited to 30 minutes. Longer matches have a various list of problems I’m sure someone other than me could go down (pretty tired rn). I like the more fast-paced and shorter nature of Battleborn compared to some other games.
That being said I’ve been playing the new incursion map (Echelon) in the early access preview and I feel like it’s a whole lot less snowbally and a bit fairer to both teams in general. The problem with snowballing definitely lies with Overgrowth, not Incursion.

It doesn’t help that the minion that gives a overshilds are made after the first sentry is destroyed.
This makes it even harder to push on one team but makes it easier on the other

That is fantastic information, it instills much hope in me. Though, I did feel like overgrowth was just a poorly made map anyways.

I’ve already made a thread breaking down the issue and potential fixes, please give it a look: Incursion - Balancing the Lane Pushing

I honestly feel like its the team balance more than anything. If your team gets their first sentry dropped in the first few minutes of the game, you’re just in a bad matchup. I had plenty of very close matches and a handful of comebacks. Even with shielded minions its much easier to get their first sentry down than it is for them to get your 2nd… assuming your team is primarily staying in lane and clearing the way.
I think snowballing would be fixed if shield robots were another buyable robot.

I agree with you.
I also think salsacookies has posted a good potential fix idea.
