Very long term view

First : sorry english is not my mother tongue. I do my best and hope people will understand what I say

So Battleborn go Gold,
Player enjoy, all the character’s are out,
PVP experience are great,

And After ? there will be another “season Pass” if i understand well,(~5$ if I remeber well)
Until when? Because devellopping PVE content cost more money than creating cosmectic…
And without new character, new PVP mode the Game take the risk to start to rotten.

Have you a backup plan in the case that player don’t buy the “extra-solo-mission” , you talking about cosmetic,
But do you think that will be enough to add “new experience” and make re-appear the “discover pleasure” the game give (Yes, addicting technic, but economically efficient)

I just Hope, because I enjoy the PVP (Yes I’m a Moba (Lol,Smite Mostly) and team based FPS ( Team Fortress 2 For the most, gotham impostor too. ) fan : so i love the “battleborn-milshake” :stuck_out_tongue: ) , To enjoy It during several Years, not some month…

Sorry, My Accounting degree make me asking stupid question about economical model, and the viability as a long term view.

From What I been reading online.
Gearbox wants to Publish this game so they can start work on Borderlands 3.
At no point have I been reading that this game is built for a ten year production plan.
It’s very true that Gearbox softwares have very loyal followers.
The Borderlands franchise will give you all the long life proof you will ever need concerning people playing for many years to come. Worry not ok.

One of the Devs here indicated that they are looking to have a roster size of 50, provided that Battleborn gets the support they are hoping for. So that indicates to me that they are looking to support this game for a long time. My guess is that if it is really supported…and they start getting closer to the 50 character mark, they will have more characters that they would like to introduce.

Also, they have said that if this game gets into the esports scene they would welcome that…but it will again depend on the game’s reception.

Finally, at Pax they revealed that they have another PVP game mode in the works. (So that would be a 4th PVP game mode)
Everyone has been asking for a Horde mode…so it could be something like that…or it could be something completely different.

Anyway, all signs point to them wanting to support this game for a long time. The initial game will have 25 characters, 8 story modes (plus a prelude), & 3 PVP modes.
We know they will be releasing 5 more characters and 5 story missions as their first DLC content.

And they have indicated that for starters beyond that, they are looking to add 20 more characters, and at least one more PVP mode.

All in all, I’ve very pleased to hear of the future support they plan for this game…contingent on the game’s overall reception.
