That’s why the map is my bible.
I probably don’t need a few thousand that specific. But definitely shoot us your top 3-5!
Here are some we gathered earlier.
-Try to keep track of your opponents skills.
-Try to keep track of your opponents level.
- Large shards spawn at 28:00
-Learn the various counters to Battleborn and their skills.
-Gear - Choose carefully. Pay attention to cost and negative stats and synergy with your character.
-Gear - Some are meant for early game boosts and some are meant for late game advantages.
-Protect your healer! They will keep you alive easier if they aren’t being swatted around.
-Healers- make sure you heal. You dont have to pocket heal anyone but you should be getting assists on most kills.
-Yes, MX Elite bots and Shepherd bots can be healed by healers. No Thralls can not be healed.
-Incursion order of importance (Kill these first) - Shepard bots, Thralls, MX Elite Bots, Minion bots, Battleborn.
-You can sprint while healing as Miko. Biosynthesis can also be activated while healing.
-Push with your Minions. Time Thralls/Elite Bots with Shepard waves.
-Watch Benedict’s rockets. His regular rockets travel in a straightline. If you are hit by bright blue (Hawkeye) rockets get close behind cover as the next few rockets will trace you. His rockets can also be shot down.
-Wear matching skin color combinations. +5 Friendship points.
-Characters that have poor wave clear should remember that a purchased elite bot can clear a wave solo easily for the cost of 600 shards
-If a minion plants to hit your sentry quick melee it to prevent it from latching on then kill it.
-You can get small but very quick exp during capture when standing on top of one of the points you already captured.
-Controller remapping. Changing your controller to a Bumper Jumper setup will allow you to aim and jump without having to take your thumbs off of the sticks.
-Rath’s ultimate can be stopped by hitting the Ultimate button again. Sometimes you need to kill and run before the Ult. Is complete.
-Find the different shard routes to take in the beginning and maximize your first run to battle
Kelvin: chomp is your initiator and your finisher but do not obsess about getting player kills with chomp.
Constantly chomp minions for instant gratification.
Quick bite saves lives.
Kelvin: ground pound is almost a guaranteed hit and does massive damage to a crowd.
Only use regular melee if attacking a single target you know you are going to hit consistently.
- Enemy minions can quickly strip friendly Sentry shields. Destroy them before they do!
- Help your team by spending shards on Buildable structures. You’ll be rewarded with XP!
- Be aware not only of where the enemy team is, but where your own team members are! Map Awareness saves lives!
If you fall behind in levels, focus on supporting your team, clearing waves, collecting shards and building infrastructure. In that order.
Try to coordinate with your team when capturing thrall camps
Kelvin: staying in the fight longer is far more important than doing more damage in the fight.
Kelvins main job is not to deal damage but to peel for his team - body block, stun, damage sponge, main target of most team fights.
If you are using offensive gear on Kelvin, you are doing it wrong.
Two very important things imo, generally regarding the game and every gamemode:
-
Do not chase kills unless you are absolutely sure you can secure them and you have an escape plan.
-
Develop the right timing for when to push and when to retreat by watching veterans play.
-
You can teleport back to base and replenish your health when you’re running low by holding down (insert platform-specific button).
-
If possible, wait for one of your teammates to revive you if you go down in PvE so you don’t waste lives as they factor into the final score and will cause you to fail the mission if you run out of them.
Do you want character specific ones? I can type out a few good Dragon ones if that’s what you guys need.
Yep! Would love some character-specific ones, especially from experts.
Thralls also give a good amount of experience. Some characters like attikus, I believe, really need to take advantage of the thralls early on in order to stay on par with other characters who might have good wave clear.
I could probably give a load but I’ll stick with the one for now!
Positioning is one of the key things in this game:
-
Know when to push and when not to push - Is there a large minion wave coming? Look at your map before going in to check.
-
Know who you should be in-front/behind of depending on what role you’re playing
The amount of new players I see dive in like a headless chicken is crazy
- Phoebe can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. She is all about striking and dodging with her true strike with the occasional dive to the enemy team’s backline.
I don’t recommend a brand new player to start going after the thralls all the time.
Mellka bae:
-Never engage with claw lunge, it’s your escape.
-Map awareness is your friend
-Air stall is bae lv3 left
Alani: Alani’s skills are crucial and powerful, so focus on cooldown reduction whether via gear or helix choice or both.
Alani: Balance is key with Alani. You must attune yourself to the ebb and flow of battle and switch between skills and healing on the fly.
Alani: To avoid accidentally healing an unintended target when you need some TLC yourself, look to the sky, think of Gary, and heal thyself.
This is true. There is a time and a place for everything.
A good tip would probably be to not start out with Dragon
