12 Laser Corvettes vs 12 Torpedo Frigates
->HWR: 11 mostly green lasers / 20sec
->HW2: 2 yellow torps / 1:30
12 Laser Corvettes vs 3 Hiig Destroyers
->HWR: 11 mostly green lasers / 1:30 (first dd dies in 10 seconds! 1 pass kills 1 Destroyer)
->HW2: 10 mostly green lasers / 2:30 (first dd dies in 40 seconds, 1 pass does 75% damage vs 1 Destroyer)
12 Laser Corvettes vs 12 Pulsar Corvettes
->HWR: 11 yellow pulsars / 1:10
->HW2: 11 green pulsars / 1:10
12 Missile Corvettes vs 12 Pulsar Corvettes
->HWR: 9 yellow missiles / 1:10 (did multiple tests, 9 seems to be average)
->HW2: 6 deep red missiles / 2:00 (did multiple tests, 6 seems to be average)
4 Missle Corvettes vs 10 Hiig Collectors
->HWR: 4 green missles / 35sec
->HW2: 4 green missles / 1min (I tested after I made the hw2 video, I can upload another video if anyone wants it)
Vaygr Laser Corvettes are extremely overpowered compared to hw2. @Scole, Torps used to beat Laser, but now Torps are getting slaughterd. Missiles are also very overpowered compared to hw2, scole mentioned that 3 hits are being registered where there should only be 2.
The Vaygr Corvette damage bugs have been the winning strategy in the last 4 tournaments now. Hiig simply can’t deal with Vaygr corvettes, as pulsars and torpedo frigs are just getting wrecked. It has also made resource collectors die twice as fast in Vaygr vs Vaygr games, the defenders advantage is gone when it only takes seconds for missile corvettes to kill an entire patch of collectors.
Also watching the video’s, Lasers are doing a lot more damage on their first direct approach, than when circulating a target. If microed properly, you can kill one DD, pull away and then do another direct approach to kill the 2nd dd, etc. Using this micro should allow you to kill 3 Destroyers extremely fast.
