It’s not visiting 4 other maps that is supposed to reset it - you need to play some time on that character, like 30 minutes or so.

It’s 30 game minutes or thereabout. We have been running the Jackpot DLC and set an Alexa timer for 30 minutes and it has been respawning with new loot every time.
Just porting there and checking then porting back to Jackpot has netted some goodies today.

Like some of the above posts, its 30 minutes game time so save quitting does not work. Play elsewhere in the game then go back.

30 minutes or thereabouts…seems to be the ticket.
I did visit 4 other maps before going back but the darn vender was THERE…and this time had a super shredder…will set another timer and try again and this time won’t visit additional maps.
EDIT…YUP…30 minutes of continuous playtime somewhere else…come back…and the vendor refreshed and was there.

Only problem is…
It did NOT display this behavior a couple of days ago for me…Seems…a little glitchy

My method works too. I park the VH in front of the machine, switch the source to watch some cable and switch it back in 20 minutes to check the machine. Rinse & repeat. VH never moves except to check the machine & buy something.

The four map visit trick is only if 30 minutes have passed and the chest hasn’t reset. You still have to play for 30 minutes in game first. It seems to help reset a glitched chest, and apparently glitched Maurice machine.

I use the Red Chests as timers for Maurice’s if I’m farming something else.
