It is a buggy mess lol I deal with bugs and glitches constantly.
Just this morning I had no sound from my guns
Constantly get stuck in place in co op mode.
The game is severely untested and unfinished.
And I will 110% keep complaining about thier skin flint business practices.
The reason they do this stuff is because people accept it.

Funny. I haven’t gotten the gun sound bug since the first week after release. Didn’t really have anything noticable in the last few weeks. Now, you’re probably gonna hate that I say this, but could it be something on your end? Some drivers misbehaving or an unclean installation or something like that?
As for me I’m running the disc but I cant say for the people I play with.

These are the times we live in today sadly. I remember times when developers payed players to test the games, now we need to pay developers so we can test their games. I mean play the game.
I recall only few triple A in last few years that didn’t have gamebreaking, gamecrashing bugs or no major exploits even after weeks after so called “launch”
The only thing that would change that is some kind of new law, but i doubt any government would bother with that.
So i guess these days we must force ourself to ressist the urge to buy the game on release date.
Waiting a few weeks/months would be best, but most of gamers are not so patient at least from what i learned after all these years.

Personally, I think at-home players should be the testers. Have you seen how Gbx treats it’s actual play-testers?
As to the fact that Gearbox update their games in an attempt to improve players’ experience when they see how things pan out over time… no, I don’t mind that. It’s not like I’m compelled to buy the game. On the scale of the abusive practices of consumerism, I’m finding it hard to see how the provision of updates in a game I choose the buy even registers.
That said, I appreciate how this thread is a change from the usual “the devs don’t care” post. Varying up the claim that they’re not listening to us with the complaint that they listen too much.

Its a double edge sword friend on one side it gives devs an excuse to release unfinished games but, it also allows devs to support games longer.

There’s this thing called “renting” where you pay for stuff you need that that you don’t own. You can rent TVs, washing machines, cars, houses… Lots of stuff.
Yes but they are not presenting it as a rental so you cant use that reasoning

No, because it’s likely you already bought the game. kinda hard to know before hand and impossible to see the future. if people feel that the game they bought had more negative changes than positives within the first month of purchase, i don’t blame them for compaining about it. people play the same game for many different reasons.

Of course they are. Read the EULA for a video game sometime.
You’re paying for a single-user, non-transferrable, revocable licence to use the copyrighted material (play the game), you’re not “buying the game”. You never gain any ownership over anything but the physical stuff that comes with a purchase (DVD/BlueRay Disc, the box, manuals, shrinkwrap and other stuff).
Just like renting something you are paying for access, not ownership.
So yeah, I can actually use that reasoning because it’s pretty darned similar.
That being said, Gearbox have never really cared what you do to your Borderlands install while you’re offline as long as you don’t bring the silliness to public games. If you don’t want the changes? Unplug and play offline.

I’m not sure that’s a glitch. There doesn’t seem to actually be any entryway to that area. Bit of an oversight.
Nothing wrong with what you are saying…I agree.
But you wont “force” them to change their ways. Change is a slow process that we allow with our decisions. Dont reward these kind of marketing and design decisions and they ll stop doing it.

Of course they have some shady crap in the "user agreement " but they make you think you are buying a copy of the game then they switch it up with thier bullshat user agreement garbage and say well now that you’ve paid for the game guess what you dont own anything! And they’re laughing all the way to the bank
