Weapon Testing Keys?

So, in “scripts” there’s weapontestingkeys.lua - here’s an excerpt:

{

Is there a way to hook that functionality back up that we can do on our end as modders? The buttons don’t seem to work currently, unless I’m simply doing it wrong, lol (hit numpad 1, ship weapons will fire, right?).
