Normally in a MOBA you can try to play more passive, but without any real turrets to fall back on, it seems difficult to play passively. Are there any good ways to play less risky and potentially catch up a bit?
I guess just building stuff and killing mobs. When you’re facing a decision between fighting Galilea 3 levels above you and killing mobs, I guess it’s obvious what you should go for…
The most important thing is to stay in groups when underlevelled… Enemies tend to panic when swarmed by group of teammates…
SHARDS AND OBJECTIVES. They will save you. Not only do they provide the obvious boosts like damage and area control but building them gives you xp which you need bad if your behind. And push hard and avoid chasing enemies. The game is not won through kills and deaths but through objectives so that’s how you turn it around. That and if you are patient they will mess up and that’s when you get your kills, when they go out of position. Oh, and make sure to kill their objectives as well, it is important and only takes a couple seconds! Hope that helps some
People do not seem to understand that you do not have to fight… Too many times I have watched people fight when they already cleared a lane of the minions…
I think the big issue is that people do not understand that they should rotate to the lane that has minions in it… People think once they have cleared their lane they can take a break and get shards or build stuff (or fight in the cleared lane). In this game that is a big mistake… As soon as you clear your lane you rotate to the other lane to help your teammates clear that lane… Once both lanes are clear that is the time to get shards and build things… Only fight when needed (like when fighting to clear minions) or ganking opportunities(meaning when you find 1 or 2 people out of position and you out number them)… Other than that it is about minions minions minions, wave clear wave clear wave clear… Remember you do not have to fight or force a fight… When you have dead people on your team do not force a fight (clear minions)…
From my experience, this is very similar to other mobas where you really need to press an advantage especially late game. All too often when my team is down 50 to 100 and we kill 3 people teammates just collect shards etc. When you are down and have 2 or 3 of the enemy dead it is really important to push. Late game I’ve seen a sentry go down in 30 seconds, so a dramatic changing of momentum is possible.
Focus on minions, shards, buildables, play the LOS game and dont trade at range. If you see their galilea / miko death squad coming aoe the minions as much you can then get out before they arrive.
