I never farm gear for collection sake. I just do runs and pickup good guns. So far I got 30 mules for weapons, 20 mules for shields, relics, 8 for coms.
The reason I pick these up is GB might buff certain guns or I see a new build and I can reach my mules for easy testing.
Right now I’m playing the science machine.
I think it’s a great addon, as it’s a timekiller for when I don’t know what I want to do, but it also buffs me for when there is a power bump (new level cap, mayherm 2.0).

Oh yeah i love the machine. But it gets stale quite fast tho.
Speaking of new lvl cap… remember what happened last time, right after lots of mini events?

Playing Overwatch because of mayhem 2.0 soon and because my main Amara phasegrasp + ties that bind keeps crashing my game every 20 minutes…so BL3 is unplayable for me right now
I want a level cap increase to 60… It’s time to introduce Pearlescent weapons to BL3!

I’ve been playing Wolfenstein Youngblood with a friend, with occasional bouts of PSO2. But I may try for some BL3 time when/if I’m off this weekend.

Playing FF7R.
I recently tried going back to BL3, but I was turned off by the lack of weapon management options. Managing my gun inventory and making tough decisions about what to keep and what to throw away has been a headache. It’s less of a game mechanic and more just lazy game design.
I originally stopped playing because the bug that didn’t allow you to toggle something as trash persisted for far too long. What a joke that was!
I won’t be playing the next Borderlands unless there are dramatic changes:
- No more than 1 playthrough per character. I don’t want a TVHM/UVHM with the same quests that I did in normal mode. What a PITA.
- Selecting your gun is another PITA. Cycle through them with triangle? Gross. It’s probably easier on PC but most of my friends aren’t going to be on PC so that’s out.
- Multiple new game mechanics besides lame alternate weapon settings. THAT was the new innovation for BL3!? It’s something that’s been in other games almost a decade. Another joke.
Why change a “successful” product? Because BL is stale AF. You get to enjoy one playthrough and then it starts sucking. I guess it’s a good paycheck for the devs so long as marketing is doing their hype job.
I saw @lolli42 say they were playing Monster Hunter instead of farming guns. Gearbox could learn from them when it comes to managing and using a large inventory of items. Item wheel FTW!

I am doing other things due to the fact that in a few days with mayhem 2.0, all of our gear will be obsolete

I played the DLC’s and have FL4K up to 57. I have the other 3 past 20 and Amara around 35. I did the slot machine and the science project and now I’m burned out a bit. I booted up Zelda BOTW last night to progress that as I want to eventually play the new Animal Crossing.
I’m also playing Doom Eternal and managed to get past Taras Nabad the night before last, finally. I have to play that game in spurts as it’s so intense. A good kind of intense.

I think that I really need to do this. Nothing like looking for your shock weapon to break a shield and cycling right past it.

Uhhhhhh, anybody know when the next level cap increase will be? These smaller increases are seriously FOR THE BIRDS!!! Having to farm the same gear every 5-7 levels, oh man, it’ll get old real fast.
I got rid of everything but level 57 gear last week. My vault is now at max fullness as I go through all the 57’s. I’m dreading the next cap increase to do it all over again!!! Come on GB, make the cap what’s it’s gunna be for BL3 already and leave it alone.

The next cap increase is not announced yet. But me and my tinfoil hat are suspicious bc all those mini events

If their philosophy is to put out these mini-events for us to gather up all the level 57 legendaries to then turn around and increase the level cap, wouldn’t that be counter-intuitive?! What does your tinfoil hat think will happen then, level cap sooner or later??? We must know…
Last time we had lots of mini events, there was a cap increase immediately after xD
