What are you worried about in BL3?

Not really a worry more like a hope. I hope slag doesnt return. I dealt with it but a normal difficulty leveling system would be nice. But whatever, ill enjoy this game till the next comes out.

Apart from the actual ratios etc., slag was in BL2 what corrosive was in BL1 and cryo in TPS - they all basically applied some damage multiplier/debuff effect in addition to doing some level of damage. If we don’t have slag or cryo, I suspect we’ll get something else with a similar mechanic.

Cryo would be more up my alley, I loved it in TPS. Just a personal preference since it could freeze. Like i said if it comes back it wont deter me at all.

My main concerns:

  1. censored gore like in BL2
  2. microtransactions & lootboxes (low risk)

Looks like Gearbox is submitting this for a ‘M’ rating, which (according to the ESRB, game raters) says May contain intense violence, blood and gore so Im hoping.
A no gore, medium gore, all out gore slider as in many games would be best.

Why is everybody forgetting we had those in BL2 as well? Those are probably a couple of completely innocuous and barely effective placebos such as the Vault Hunter’s Relic (loot booster) and Moxxi’s Endowment (XP booster), given as a special bonus to people who pre-order the game. Some of you are acting like they just announced they’ll offer temporary guaranteed drops and automatic levelling for anybody willing to pay for it, which is just ridiculous.

Good news! Thanks!:sunglasses::+1:

Supposedly it’s radiation.

Micro Transactions don’t effect me. I don’t buy them apart from the odd thing. I bought some cosmetic packs and weapon packs in some games including B2 and Helldivers. My statement wasn’t focused on that, it’s about the streaming and youtube’ing prior to launch of others playing the game.

Battleborn had a fair sized shop, something i din’t use. I got the skins from it when i earned the credits. If other people want to buy stuff it’s up to them, i couldn’t care. I’m not happy with Loot Boosters and XP Boosters though, kind of makes me think too many will feel impelled to buy them to raise the odds instead of it just being a normal drop, same for everyone. But this is the new era of gaming. The industry has changed.

All that matters to me is the quality of the game i purchase. And i would like to see all gamers treated the same, but that’s not gonna happen anytime soon.

Again: We had those boosters in BL2 as well. They aren’t what you think they are.

I’ll definitely miss Krieg if he doesn’t show up, my axe is thirsty!

The fact that I’ll be 6 months behind consoles and EGS players.

It’s MHW all over again… yay…

Also, no Gaige :scream:

Not worried, but I do hope the Hive launcher makes it into this game. I spent over 100 hours (yes, I timed it) to get my first Hive ( I can STILL farm Saturn in my sleep) but it was worth it.

I’m not sure any past weapon will make it into Borderlands 3 honestly. Sure, a weapon with the same red text effect could be made, but BL3 uses an entirely new weapon system. As much as you can try to replicate a BL2 gun, I can’t help but feel it won’t be the same altogether. A bit like how no BL1 gun made it into BL2, even with callbacks like Sledge’s shotgun and the Lady Fist.

I want a pearl shield called the scam. It has a 94% chance to absorb enemy bullets but a 99% chance to spontaneously combust.

The only thing I am worried is will I have to fight Tediore Customer Service. Those guys are dead-killy, bros.

i’m fairly sure you have no idea what your talking about. No offence intended.

Have you played Battleborn? The relic in B2 is nothing like the boosters. Something which you consume like a potion and has the effect for a set time. We don’t know for a fact, we’ll see.

Once again, i’ll state it’s not my concern, read what i’m saying. It’s about people Streaming the goddam game months before everyone else has a chance to play it.

That doesn’t sound like it will be Battleborn-style versions, which would have concerned me (double XP boost, stackable…). I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. BL1 had skills that boosted XP; did any of the COMs do that too?

I worry the writing won’t be as great as it was in Borderlands 2 and the game will be missing the atmosphere that made 2 so over the top amazing even compared to the first. BL2 was the result not just of the dev team but of the writers and different personalities who contributed to it. It wasn’t just about looting and shooting. It had heart under all the craziness and had a lot of surprisingly heartfelt moments to go with all the darkness. Gearbox is a much different company now than it was then. While a lot of the same folks are still there a lot of the people who made BL2 have moved on. I worry it won’t feel like the Pandora we’ve come to know and love (in our own twisted way). That said the Pre-Sequel had enough of the feel of the first two despite it being a different developer that I do have some faith.
