Remaster. Lol how weird

Yeah, this happens from time to time in the remaster. I vaguely remember a post where someone found a high level (around 20) grenade in one of the piles before Fyrestone. And my Roland got the blues found a level 15 pistol in the very first loot object he opened.

Caustic no less! Usually the first corrosive I ever see is in the vendor in the basement next to Cigar Guy

Wow. that is very strange to get that high of level right off the bat. Crazy…

That’s dehanced edition surprise right there, with "over-leveled’ weapons and items popping up like that.

The search function here actually works. Found the post with the level 19 grenade.

At least it’s good money early on :man_shrugging:

What a difference a level makes: Tediore Brick returned to Knoxx and this time he finished the job.

The new masher did over 6k damage and Knoxx’s health bar shrunk much faster than last time.

At some point during the fight Knoxx stopped attacking and only did some threatening moves. I only knew this behavior from the second Knoxx-Trap fight. Sniping with my Equalizer kinda worked.

After 20 minutes Knoxx was almost dead.

Unfortunately a medic sneaked up on Brick shortly after this pic. I noticed it too late and Knoxx got half his health back, argh. So the fight took another 10 minutes but then it was finally done, phew.

I will continue using the 4-player slider, but now that Knoxx scales to Brick’s level, I’ll turn it off for the upcoming fights against him. Maybe I’ll give it another try once I have a perfect set of Equalizers.

Already started the CoD and, at least the first round, wasn’t too hard.

My green AX11 caustic revolver has a very high ammo consumption and so I had to look for quiet spots on the map to regenerate ammo. A caustic Equalizer would be much appreciated.
Also this moment – couldn’t see a thing.

New siren made it through RR unscathed, though I had really lousy long range weapons for MINAC so it took forever. When I’m in that situation I’m always tempted to run out of the safe room to get closer, which has been a death sentence for me cuz of the stupid kamikazes .
Three things I want to note, been in my mind for quite a while;

  • Why is there a save pillar right before the transition door to Wayward Pass (where the final battles are)? I mean, you get a save simply by making the transition, I don’t understand why there’s a pillar there.
  • Gosh I dislike stick-press switches Xbox and PS4. They’re bad for control. And often during the Steele fight I’m so focused and jamming hard on aim and run that I trigger crouch right at the wrong time. Hate stick-press.
  • Did you ever notice that Bruce Banner in the Hulk Buster Iron Man suit in Infinity War looks a whole lot like General Knoxx when the iron man helmet is retracted?

I don’t remember specifically in the area you’re speaking of. But in general, just moving from one map to another does not necessarily trigger a save. for example: when you’re starting off and you make your way to Lucky’s watering hole. If you don’t go all the way to Lucky, or the guy at the top of the hill that gives you Skagzilla mission, and save/quit. You’ll start back in Fyrestone. Maybe its the crazy way borderlands saves story progression. idk…its Borderlands. lol

OT:
I’m farming Ajax…man I am tired if hearing and seeing those explosions only to get crap like this…

I’ve been farming him all day. I’ve had 5 total fails where it’s explosive, but not the Ogre.

After finding an upgrade for my anarchy during the first armory run, I decided to give Guardian farming another try.

And it worked, although the ammo consumption was ridiculously high: I could only kill two to four Guardians before I was out of ammo.

That was RIP.

Later I’ve found a static Matador that worked pretty well too.

The biggest annoyance were the Sera Guardians. I really missed a sniper rifle.

It was a huge grind, but now he’s finally at level 69.

Brick needs some upgrades first and then he should probably kill the Destroyer.

That would have been a pretty cool one, it’s rare to even get that good mag on spears

For my play style this is about the perfect masher…

Taking a Mordy through the second playthrough (Level 48 now). Started as a (admittedly rather generic) Sniper until I found a Maliwan Crux, a solid Assassin COM and a 2-shot Defiler in short order.

Took the hint and changed from sniping to turning enemies into green goo, though I keep a Hellfire for anything that is resistant to corrosive damage.

I agree. I’ve been collecting them as I get them. I’m about 10 fails deep in this. its amazing how many explosive accessories I’ve gotten without the Ogre accessory showing up.

Most of these Spears are mag5. I think the reason I have x4 on that spear above is from the extra tech received from mag5. its my only explosive mag5 drop so far. all others have been mag4 or mag2. mag4 adds dmg by 15% and mag5 give 18% with a +1 in tech for the win! lol reload times are slowed with both mags as well. the Spear in my pic here is max value. all others are not. I’m pretty sure this is max value with the fire rate accessory and the scope.

After getting an explosive Chiquito Amigo Protector for Tediore Brick, I decided to suspend the 4-player difficulty for a moment and just went mobbing all over Pandora.

Sorry for the tinnitus.

This is the most fun gun I’ve used in a while. No ammo worries anymore. Even without kill skills it destroys everything, and once Revenge and Master Blaster are active Brick is unstoppable.

Skagzilla checked.

Badass Desperados are transformed into blood,

and this guy just looked cool. I love this gun :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I don’t think I’ve ever seen an explosive one before. To paraphrase Brick: THAT. IS. AWESOME!!!

And the opposite end of the spectrum, this is a lousy Masher. 3 shot mag, reduced damage, and a 4.2x scope which is way too tight for pretty much anything but a sniper.

Ill agree on the first 2 but, too tight? Never thought of it that way. Scopes on mashers work just like Anarchys, reducing the spread.

You’re correct in reducing the spread. But, for me, a 4x (or pretty much anything over 3) zoom affects target acquisition. If the target is not right within the sight when I ADS I have to spend additional moments maneuvering my aim because the sight view is so narrow.

That is true. There is good ole aim assist, which will typically hit right at center mass, a quick flick up and you’ve got the head. I don’t use it myself . I do alot of scope toggling . Get your recticle on red from the hip, make sure you’ve got a clean shot , scope and boom, real quick like. Battle field awareness is not to be underrated. That’s another thing that makes corrosive dot so powerful. Not only is the target slagged, they’ve got a flag on them for a good while
