I rarely fire a shot at mccloud and his goons. I always just lob my supply of corrosive betties at them and duck. Works every time
Ultimate raidboss, that one, in all versions of the game.
Except, of course, for those platforms, ramps, and stairs that absolutely need a railing but donāt have one. Imma calling OHSAā¦
I just hide behind the crates way far away from them, poke my head out and shoot, duck back when I see the orb coming. As long as I donāt get impatient Iām good.
One thing I have thought of; The elite guards with McCloud are also pretty tough, if they had brought more of those guys to Pandora instead of regular lance men the battle might have gone another wayā¦
Yeah I always thought it was weird they went to the trouble to program those guys to put them in 2 places. Youād think steele would have a personal unit or something
Here ya go , raven. I canāt use it as Iām on strict company orders to use only hyperion gear, but this is one of the better havocs Iāve seen this low. Regular bandit, headstone mine.
thatāll definitely tear a hole through anything level 4
That kiss *SS!!! Man, 9Toes and BoneHead BeGone!
OK you can stop now
Finished PT1 without seeing a single Havoc, maybe PT2.
And without a single phase walk. Weāll see if I can sustain that in PT2.
Through Sledge, still no phase walk.
Roid Rage did his thing, though. I was blasting him in the face, and thinking donāt forget about his grenades, he had about 1/8th health left when he tossed one, I kept firing just because, killed him and his 'nade put me into FFYL, of course. And also of course, there are so many midgets around that itās easy to get back up.
I also was going to whine to you folks about not finding a single COMM with ammo regen, and lo and behold my next gift shop trip gave me the below one, which is just awesome. Also an updated Hellfire, same stats but 20% more damage, so also awesome.
Still no Havoc thoughā¦
Helped my cousin level up since he came over.
Got through the Robot Revolution in PT 2, still no phase walks.
Nothing particularly interesting. With the excellent Hellfire, a Double Stinger, and the ammo regen comm it was pretty straightforward. The double stinger was particularly good against Steele-trap since the high rate of pellets going downrange kept her dazed most of the time keeping her from charging.
Now back into the main story.
Spent 3 hours in the Angelic Ruins to get the final Moxxi trophy me and my friend needed and it crashed at round 17 of 20ā¦
Iām considering un-installing the game and I am pretty sure my friend broke his controller.
Started a game for the first time in almost a year. If this hardcore Brick is successful, then it will be my last playthrough.
The first chest gave me a white Tediore shotgun to replace Brickās starter weapon until obtaining the white Hyperion pistol. I took a long time killing every enemy prior to obtaining a shield so that I did not take any damage. Bought the item of the day at Zedās (just barely had the money, it was the absolute worst level 2 Tediore shield possible). After running around and doing the quests, once the weapon vendor opened I checked it. A level 5 barrel 3 white Vladof sniper was there and I could afford it. More running around with the Hyperion pistol and doing quests until I hit level 5 by killing the first few skags in Skag Gully. At this point, I equipped the Vladof sniper and things became very easy for awhile.
Ran around Skag Gully killing skags for experience, killed Nine-Toes, did T.K.'s quests along with again killing every skag in sight, and was level 10 when it was Bone Head time. T.K. gave me a level 5 blue barrel 3 S&S sniper to replace the Vladof sniper. This made sniping Bone Head slightly easier than it would have been with the Vladof. I hit level 11 just before talking to Shep, talked to Shep, then immediately went to the Lost Cave.
Farmed Larval Crab Worms until level 20 and did the quests associated with the area. Upgraded the level 5 blue S&S sniper to a level 16 blue Dahl sniper with barrel 3. This playthrough is loving barrel 3 on sniper rifles up to this point, but I am not complaining as it beats the hell out of barrels 1 and 2. Upgraded my level 2 white Tediore shield to a level 13 green Tediore shield. Weapons loadout includes a blue Dahl shotgun and green Dahl combat rifle that I never use. Grenade mod is a level 13 explosive Tediore Contact.
13 Sniper Proficiency. Nothing for other weapons.
Zero health damage taken up to this point.
1/1 Berserk at Level 5. It has gone unused.
5/5 Endowed at Level 10. I meant to use grenades early on but havenāt thrown any.
5/5 Revenge at Level 15.
5/5 Rapid Reload at Level 20.
PS3 or PS4?
OT-
I have finished my PT2 with my Jakobs assassin, and I must say I was a little disappointed of RNG.
I ran through the game with only 4 Jakobs guns I found in the Armory on PT1.
There were no useful drops or vendor finds at all.
So Iām starting to doubt that manufacturer weighing theory,
Iāve farmed extensively Luckyās vendor and chests and got nothing - no Jakobs guns,
I want to show ALL I found in PT2 before Knoxx DLCā¦
My FIRST Jakobs weapon in PT2 in Old heaven
My second one in Lost cave ( went in later in game )
Third one near Flynt
Fourth weapon - vendor Salt flats
Fifth one after meeting Tanis
My sixth weapon was in Enclave, the tower on right side of the map
And the last two on the way to the vault
So I have found a total of 8 Jakobs guns on a Jakobs only playthrough, with Mordy.
I find it very strange. Iām not counting Sledgeās shoty and WEG.
Most efficient weapon was Jakobs matador I found in armory on PT1.
Thatās crazy geo. Iāve seen tons of jakobs. 2 or 3 in a vendor at a time. Did you see the 31 UM? Lol Iām sorry I donāt mean to brag or anything like that. Iām not fond of using jakobs in general. Crazy ole borderlands!
I havenāt seen any purple or leg Jakobs weapons at all, very strange and Iām starting a new Jakobs toon just to check if RNG will change.
Wishing you luck. Go read the gunslinger or something lol maybe itāll summon the guns
Also this- how much do you vendor farm? I have a circle I run, up to about 8 vendors by the time Iām sayā¦at rakk hive. And Iāve found some killer stuff in every one at some point. Itās by far the best bet for good early level stuff
Iād be interested in seeing that list. I donāt really vendor farm at all, so Iāve probably been missing out on some stuff along the way.
Well itās usually UD, fyrestone, 2 at luckys ( I run out of patience for the 3rd one, although I did find my 24 mat2 corrosive invader sniper there) ā¦new havensā¦outeryard.cauldron. ā¦middle of nowhere and old haven. Then salt flats maybe later.
