Farmed Skagzilla last night(total runs up to only 480something) while waiting for a friend to configure their controller. Then continued on to beat Mad Mel, King Wee Wee, and a bunch of nasties trespassing on Crazy Earl’s lawn!
Checked out the gear recently transferred to my Mordecai and did some shuffling, but decided that I wasn’t feeling up to Circle of Duty right now and that seemed to be the only incomplete side quest left on that save.
So instead I loaded Roland back up and went Krom-hunting. After a couple failed attempts to charge the ramparts I pulled out the Volcano and sniped Krom clean off his turret.
Cleared out all the rest of his crew, got the thingy, and back to Tannis. After that, cleared out Jaynistown and back to New Haven to find a certain dude. That was about it for the night, which actually ended up being a longer session than I had planned. No decent drops to speak of, although I did get one purple class mod upgrade. Dinged 46 part-way through and am now half-way to 47. Next up: Jaynistown Part 2 and the Trash Coast.
Roland went dumpster diving in search of epic literature, then avoided an ambush and took out a bandit camp he’d accidentally started. Dinged 47 somewhere in there, which meant I could now use the upgraded shield I found. Carried on with pursuing vault key pieces after that, completely forgetting that this requires eliminating Roscoe’s parent (Mum? Dad? Who even knows?). The Trash Coast spiderants were a real pain, in part because I was trying to use specific weapon types and in part because they’re just spiderants. Spent so long taking down one pair of them that a whole area respawned on me! Finally got through it all (dinging level 48 on the way) and went back to Tannis, only to find that I now have to invade Old Haven. Not tonight, crazy scientist lady.
Roland picked up the “Smoke Signals” and “Middle of Nowhere” side quests. First to get the bounty board up and running and run pest control, then off to Old Haven to deal with the Crimson Lance. I always forget where you pick up the treasure side quest there, and missed the first key bandit. So after lancing the boil that was the Lance, creating a smoke-free zone, and liberating Tannis’ Claptrap, Roland had to go back through again to get all the keys. Hit level 49 in the process though, and now well on the way to 50. Next up is Baron Flynt, who is no gentleman.
Also, @Kurtdawg13 was farming Craw, although that will probably come as a surprise to absolutely no one!

But I won’t.
Been a while since i posted. I farmed Craw with @technikal a weekend ago. maybe two weekends ago. lol Had a blast killing Craw.
Hadn’t played BL1 in a while, decided to load it up and mob around on a few maps.
Went to Krom’s Canyon and bum rushed the dude. Managed to blow him out of his turret without killing him, heh heh.

At first I didn’t see him, but I heard him ranting to his flunkies from somewhere nearby. And there he was, sitting there frozen in turret-pose and yelling. Put the poor guy out his misery.
I was driving to work today, saw a terrible accident on the highway, two guys were waiting for police to arrive, I presumed, but nooo they started to shoot…so I relieved them from all their troubles!

Second Controller!? Pshhhhhhhhhh man up and get it done the real way. It took me a long ass time but you better believe I did it with Lilith solo.
Like I said, not much time to really do any serious gaming, but I found time to do some OG Borderlands.
Turns out I’m not a fan of the Blasta Master style of play with Brick, so I scrapped that project, in favor of a new one in Lilith. I don’t precisely know what playstyle I want to use with her, I’ll take a look at some suggestions, but I feel that this may be a bit fresher than previously with Roland where I had to keep to cover and at range (even though the MGs don’t do much downrange).
Went from the beginning and have just buried Nine-Toes Nine Feet Deep and cut off his Nine Inch Nails.
There are a number of skills across all three trees that are pretty good at getting in close to groups and messing them all up with a mixture of bullets, elemental DoT, and daze.
PWalk is quite the versatile tool, good for defense and offense.
Some of the skills that come to mind in a “knock knock, welcome to hell” playstyle are
Silent Resolve
Radiance(for pre-stripping shields)
Intuition
Diva
Dramatic Entrance
Pheonix
Most of Lilith’s skills are good, but those in particular are good for surprising the hell out of enemies.
Wow. Didn’t expect the weapons to have more longevity even when underleveled in this game.
Siren claned out Sledge’s Safehouse no-death, just the way I like these runs. Took care of the Roid Rage Psycho without much hassle. Also decided to put bullets through the tongues of Moe and Marley, and landed both the Shock Artifact (from Moe) and Fire Artifact (from the Quest Turn-In). Went with the Fire Artifact. With all of that taken care of, she moseyed on down to the Lost Cave even with the need to do so already taken care of, simply to expand her inventory space.
Siren is now L17, with a maxed Inner Glow (figure this skill would be more useful for longevity compared to the situational uses of Dramatic Entrance) and two points in Hard to Get. Action Skill Cooldown Rate always helps.
Today I finished off Craw with a transfusion grenade…twice!
Siren hammered Sledge. Yes, funny stuff.
It was mostly handled with no trouble, other than that stupid autogun on the perch at the start of the map. Reached L18, and another point in Hard to Get is had. May do just a few more side missions - probably purely for the red chests they house - and then proceed onto the Dahl Headland.
I’ve admittedly scrapped past playthroughs of the characters and especially Lilith, but in each of these playthroughs I’ve got a Defender Class Mod as standard. I’m expecting that again once I turn in Battle for the Badlands.
the pipe keeper below the light bridge killed me with his triple incendiary launcher, so respawn. i was welcomed by those five troopers but they were only focused on confusing running to get their strategical positions so i was able to flee like the fat bubbles child
I fired up BL1 for the first time in quite a while yesterday. Hopped in with a buddy and did the Gully, 5 rounds, and then helped him finish off the Knoxx DLC (we were both level 69, he just had the final mission to kill Alphonso left to do), and then we knocked out the first 3 rounds of Circle of Duty. I left him at that point so he could farm up a good Truxican Wrestler COM.
It was fun getting back into the swing of BL1. After playing Destiny 2 almost exclusively over the last couple of months, I ran into a few instances of chucking a grenade at a baddy instead of meleeing them. Whoops.
So the Siren tore through the Dahl Headland without too much trouble. There was the issue of having to deal with Seraph beings and inconveniently running out of ammo for my Maliwan shock Revolver to competently deal with them. Had to constantly Phasewalk in and out of trouble just to survive it. But it’s done.
Ooooooh Scythid, how I remembered how much I despised you.
But she got to New Haven in one piece, reaching Level 21 along the way and getting a point in Silent Resolve. This is subject to change though.
