What did you do in BL1 during your most recent session?

Yes, I knew about those. Not always the easiest things to hit with their motion, though - especially from a distance!

I finally finished my first playthrough! I gotta say, I love the crude feel of BL1, very different, but a ton of fun. If only it were remastered for PS4…

I’ve also been trying to do every sidequest, is there any way to know what you still need to do? From what I can tell, there are no markings on the map for people who give you the quests, and there’s no list saying undiscovered either. I know about the bounty boards, but aside from that it doesn’t seem like there is.

Claptrap will let you know when NPCs or bounty boards have side quests. Repeatedly. One after another after another. There’s also a complete list in the Mission Flow section on the Borderlands wiki. There’s also a handy diagram showing which maps everything is on.

Yeah I hear him babbling a lot when there’s stuff to do. The list is nice, but I just wanted to know if there was a way to check aside from manually going through and checking everything off. I guess not though lol.

He’ll usually start going through the list when you either start the game, or travel to a different map. Heading to Underdome, Fyrestone, New Haven, or Middle of Nowhere is a safe place where you can stop and listen.

Just so you know, there are a handful of missions collected from unmarked unmentioned NPCs - the Bandit Treasure mission and Green Thumb spring to mind.

Yeah, those are the kinds of things I need to figure out. Claptrap kept telling me Scooter needs help with a lil sumthin sumthin; I had no idea where he was, and he ended up being about 10 ft. away from the fast travel in New Haven. I felt like an idiot. We were really spoiled in BL2 with the exclamation marks and undiscovered missions in the list!

I fired up the ol’ girl on the weekend for some BL1 action. Decided to get a new Double Anarchy for Lilith. Got an awesome version with ammo regen first try! Tried for about an hour after that and nothing else came close. Took my new toy to Knoxx and roflstomped him with it. He was down in about 30 seconds.

Nothing of note in the farmory, but the Anarchy was find of the week anyway!

Put in some serious time with my XB1 Mordecai playthrough. When I picked up yesterday, I was sitting in Fyrestone, needing to head to Sledge’s Safehouse story-wise. Well, I made my way through the story, I just defeated Baron Flynt, and I made sure to get my backpack upgrades (including the DLC ones). So I’m sitting at 72 backpack slots (woo!) and getting ready to complete the final chapter of the game before heading into Knoxx and then finishing up stuff like Claptrap PT1 (for the skill point) and the short Moxxi tournaments (…for the skill point…). Feels nice to go back and experience a… simpler time in Borderlands.

PSA for Sony peeps: Plug in your PS4 controller to your PS3 and you can play BL1 with a better controller! It is sweeeet.
Not as good as it would be playing it on PS4 (lucky XB1 I’m jealous), but going back to the old controller was the main thing stopping me from playing BL1 for the last while.

Did a few armory runs. Got nothing special lol.

Took Mordecai through and finished the Knoxx campaign on PT2. Went up through Road’s End with a level 37 Plague as my best corrosive weapon, but the game was kind enough to gift me a level 52 Defiler in the chest with the Crimson Shorty. Used that on Knoxx, still used the Plague on Devastators and Combat Medics and all that (don’t have a Gunslinger with ammo regen, so I wanted to save my revolver ammo). Died once after the first wave of Medics died and Knoxx thought it’d be fun to stomp on me while my back was turned, but otherwise pretty smooth sailing. Picked up a few nice things from the Armory, and now it’s back to the vanilla game to knock out a bunch of side missions before turning in Loot Larceny for that shiny, high-level Athena’s Wisdom.

Then to kill a bunch of Lance so I can hit the Armory a few more times.

Double post, woo.

Played a little More-decai (http://instantrimshot.com/) yesterday. Cleaned up the last few story missions in Robolution PT1 for the skill point, and then started the climb to 69. Fairly solid go at it, as I cleaned out each of the Fyrestone missions except for the Circle of Death (wanna save that for 69) and did a few full clears as I did the missions. I very rarely do a full clear of the Lost Cave, and I’ve gotta say, that gets pretty crazy in the alpha skag den at the end. I was pretty fortunate to not get any SuperBad Corrosive Skags (only fire and shock for me), as they would have cleaned me out pretty good.

Also did a full clear of Skag Gully while taking down Scar and getting the Bladeflower seeds, and did a full clear of Arid Hills while searching for Moe, Marley, and some sniper rifle parts. Now I’ve just gotta do the Shep Sanders missions and I’ll be all done in the Arid Badlands until I decide to knock out the Circle of Death.

Next up, I think I’ll take on the Clappy DLC on PT2 for that skill point before trying the Moxxi arenas in PT1 and 2. Sitting at level 61 at the moment.

I started a new Mordy today, named Sniper Joe. Snipers only, with the only exception so far being when i had to kill Moe. Moe is a dick.

Currently farming Lucky’s, and for those who don’t know it’s the best early game gear farm of all time. Three chests which can and have dropped legendaries, as well as three vendors for buying, selling and otherwise moving gear.

Do you always hit the chest on top of the building near the racetrack? I have gotten some good loot from over there a few times on early characters.

I’ve considered it, but it’s not part of my run. Lucky’s is fast as heck. I do hit that one when i do the mission there tho.

If your by yourself it is a lot quicker… My buddy and I would split and I went to the other few chests on the backside of the map.

Finally got Mordecai to 69, turned in Loot Larceny for a level 68 Athena’s Wisdom with the double accessory, so that was solid. Also went to the Circle of Duty to pick up the Crimson Lance I needed to kill to get back into the Armory, and ended up having a really solid session. Finished the first 3 rounds and prepared myself to farm a 5-line Truxican Wrestler COM, but ended up getting it on the first turn in. So that was unexpected, because I usually struggle a bit with the Circle of Duty missions. Anyways, gonna hit up the Farmory a couple times before taking on Sergeant and higher.

Still a nice session. Also got my Eridian proficiency up into the mid-20s.

Wait, does the third round of COD give a class mod?

Yeah, the third round always gives you the non-loyalty Knoxx mod.
