What did you do in BL1 during your most recent session?

Been grinding through more of DLC1 on a rainy afternoon. What a horribly unbalanced experience. Pumpkinhead, Frankenbill, All the named Wereskags and of course Undead Ned all spawned 3 levels higher than me and required substantial cheesing to kill. Boring, grindy experience :frowning:

It’s done for now so onto Knoxx now I guess?

Tenerif the Hunter PT2 XBoxX
Into the Crimson Fastness. Between a caustic sniper and his ultra-trusty caustic Desert Stinger all went well. Into the Enclave, and rinse and repeat. Found a lvl 48 caustic Thanatos, which is nice!
Back into the Fastness to turn on the echo net and get Patty out.
Fun fun. The area just past the door was full 'o Lancemen, including mechanics and BadMuthas. Went into FFYL twice, and each time he just started praying and spraying down the stairway with the Stinger, and both times he managed to kill someone for a 2nd wind.
In the red chest to the left of the stairs picked up another Legendary (more later).
Back to the Salt Flats and through the Descent, again, no issues. Now standing at the start of the Eridian Promontory wondering if we should go right now or wait until later, I really thing the gun load out Tenerif has now will win the day and Destroyer.

Oh, legendaries. The game continued to troll me with shotguns I don’t need or want, giving me a Pestilent Crux from a chest and offering a Blast Hammer from a vendor. And even a worse troll - on the pathway to the entrance to the Descent I shot a lanceman with the sniper rifle, then quickly switched to the Crux to see if it would do any good. But the DOT from the sniper killed the Lance before I fired a shot from he Crux. However, since I had the Crux in my hand when the enemy died, the game apparently assigned the kill to that weapon and my Shotgun proficiency went from 1 to 2. Wasted.

Did the Kobb missions, Old Haven (except the Claptrap rescue) and finally went into the secret room in New Haven (not that I think that really needs spoilers…) Found a few more legendaries along the way (Item Finds thread) and levelled up a couple more times. All in all, good fun!

Forgot that the Old Haven Claptrap was invisible if you didn’t have the requisite mission open. Ran around the empty room, but couldn’t get the ā€œInteractā€ to pop so I’m wondering if they completely took the Claptrap out in the Remaster prior to the right mission? The ! was on the map though.

Tenerif the Hunter PT2 XBoxX
Oh never mind, might as well strike while the iron is hot.

Up the Promontory. The Sera and other guardians were easy, Tenerif has Trespass and the Caustic Lance sniper took 'em down in one shot each. Lance, well, they saw the reason why Tenerif was carrying his faithful Glorious Havoc, only lvl 41 but minced 'em up. Found an Eridian blaster, will sell.
Got to the door to the Destroyer and thought about changing the load out, Tenerif had collected a Roaster and Leviathan, maybe try a rocket launcher. But decided not to, don’t use launchers regularly, stick with what works. Through the door.
Cammandant Steele became a pinned butterfly, lance all dead, time to fight. Tenerif is lvl 52, Destroyer is showing a caution indicator for his much higher level.
Alternated between the Havoc and Stinger, both doing serviceable work. Threw the Thanatos in for a few mags, but wasn’t getting reliable crits so stopped. Did our typical alternate between the two pillars for the first half of the fight, then settled on the left hand one for the final half.
One FFYL from an eye blast, but second winded from a flying parasite. Wear down, wear down.
Every now and again a tentacle knocked me back, but not over the edge, so quick run back to the pillar.

About 7 minutes of continuous firing and Dead, clean kill on the Destroyer, PT2 complete!
Yay!
Lots of expensive gear to sell in the chests, and the legendary is the Silent Night, we’ll see how well that works with a Hunter class.
Hm, now what?

I had the same problem, think I ran around that building 5 or 10 minutes wondering wtf was going on.

Faye the Siren

Day 5(lvl 25-33)
So… The whole Jaynistown thing was maybe not such a good idea… At least I handled it and got rid of then both. Krom was supposed to be this bigshot, but he was a piece of cake! Baron Flynt was tougher though… But he went down and for what? An empty box and a message from the other Siren, right before she turned down the Echo-netowrk. Had to go save Tannis from the Crimson. Got the Echo-network back up and running. Why do I feel like I am the only one really doing anything worthwile on this whole planet? Well now I’m off to face the other Siren. She might be the only one on this planet who derserves to go up against my powers

Day 6(lvl 33-36)
These Eridian Guardians are strong. I feel like I could learn a lot from them. The other Siren was dissapointing, getting impaled by the hidden Vault monster. The Destroyer, hidden in the Vault, was quite something. But in the end, nothing matches me and my 'Narchy. The Destroyer left some loot, a noticable handgun and a sweet shield. I returned the leftovers of the Vault key to Tannis. It seems there is nothing left for me to do on this part of Pandora(all missions completed). I will look around for new challenges. Faye signing out for now

Did TKs missions and got Lilith to 10. Visited Bonehead and picked up the usual Lvl 3 bone shredder from him. Turned in and then put her away.
Brought up a Brick and a Roland to the same Lvl 10 point in the game.
Took Mordecai to do Marcus’s dirty work and killed 50+ prisoners, 40 midgets and 20 skaggs. Along the way decided to stop into the Circle of Duty for some matches. Got all the way to the end of the last round and the game glitched. The last soldier appeared on the HUD and I could hear his voice, but he was not in that dimension. After 30 minutes of trying to get him to materialize, I gave up and quit. Will have to redo the round when I go to finish up Marcus’s work.

Day 7(lvl 36-37)
So apparently there is an outbreak, caused by a certain Dr. Ned, who supposedly isn’t Dr. Zed. I went to speak to him at Hallow’s End, he says he might have an antidote for it, so of course I have to go get it. Sigh The light of my day has been seeing an old friend again. I found TK alive. Or… Halfway so… He is now a zombie, but a friendly one at that. He craves zombie brains, and since I actually had grown to care for him during his last lifetime, why not help him out in this one. I’ve fed him around 35 brains by now and he still craves more. I mean, it’s probably better than if he keeps eating those weapons that he hurls up at times. Oh well…

Sometimes they get stuck in their spawning areas…annoying! It’s worth keeping a transfusion grenade on you for that purpose - the homing orbs can still get them most of the time.

Kind of what I was trying to do. I have seen in the past that enemies caught between planes can sometimes still be damaged. I threw all my grenades shot rockets and soaked the area with gun fire before I gave up. A transfusion might have at least given me some feedback.

After cooping with @Laggy on Xbone, I moved to PC and finished leveling @Jefe 's Lilith to 69. That didn’t take too long. ended up having a lag issue when the Wife fired up Netflix. lol Sorry Jefe.

@Geomason then hit me up offering to help me move gear to my Morde. We were experiencing a glitch and I’m wondering if its an intentional glitch. I was unable to drop my Jakobs loyalty com I want Morde to have. It would literally disappear after dropping it from my inventory. I wouldn’t even see it drop. it just vanishes. We attempted different maps. Didn’t matter. I could drop other coms, just not that loyalty. And to further this point, I also had a blue rarity Jakobs loyalty on my Lilith, so I tried dropping that and it vanished too. Very strange. I have an idea of how to get this over to my Morde, just not sure if its going to work.

I thought of hosting, dropping it in my game, have Geo pick it up, save/quite and I load up Morde and have him rejoin and drop it. I’ll report back once we’ve attempted this.

Same thing happened with @Stouty22’s Professional when he joined my game for Chopper testing. He didn’t drop it though, it deleted itself when he joined with it equipped.

Wow, that’s a whole different level of glitch right there. Ouch. At least I still have mine.

I’ll tell you how i do this, cause the online lag and glitching can cause shenanigans. I put my file to read-only then join and drop. just in case it disappears or lag kicks me. I still have it just in case.

Make save backups if you can, yeah.

I’m not sure, but I think I heard that Loyalty COMs used to remove themselves from player inventories, way back on the OG BL1. It was obviously fixed, but I wonder if the same thing is happening here, just in multiplayer? Most things work normally for the host, it’s the client that has most of this stuff bork out for them.

Got my Mordercai up to 69 finally after grinding/cheesing my way through Kyros and his counterpart. Utterly miserable experience fighting them!

Still got Craw to tackle (never killed it before) and Ajax needs to die. Also I need some other weapons I guess?! I’m still using a level 48 masher which feels wrong!

Sounds wrong too. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Not found anymore since. Just can’t get my head around the weapons system and what’s actually a good gun from just looking at them :frowning:

Just casually running the Promonotry for some quick access to red chests as the ones at The Vault seem to re-appear!

Try the Clappy DLC, you get an SDU for your backpack and an extra skill point. Then you can farm the chest room. it’s got a buffed AL

It’s next on my list but not tonight! That said my last run up the hill an Arch Guardian just dropped me a Purple Masher that did twice the damage of my old one. Smaller mag/longer reload though :frowning:
