What did you do in BL2 during your most recent session?

Pushed my Axton to 0p 7, farmed some legendaries, and planning for the next to on to take to op8.

Leveling a gunzerker lately, yesterday I "freed’ an angel, went back to Sanctuary and found a group of four friends engaged in a truxican standoff; I was jumping around while listening to their lies when I jumped over Jim and he died! Or, at least, I knocked him down because he kept talking

Reached level 72 with Dee Lightful and picked up Animal Rescue from Mordecai to get the Trespasser with the idea of facing Pete the Invincible but had some of the stalkers glitch, preventing them from escaping safely. Found some more orange gear and fitted some out from the mules as well- will clear up the unique reward quests then get back to Element Zero and Reverend Pain for a bit to finish their unique reward missions…

I want O’Cantler to be an an enemy type, like a Powder Monkey but with a corrosive explosion if you pop that tank.
Did they just lurk in their cages (and did that kill the mission)?

Vladof Assassin rolled Three Horns Divide, and went after the Cult of the Vault symbols. I’m trying some new skills with him, specifically Be Like Water and Like the Wind. Previously, my Jakobs Assassin had Be Like Water, but the nature of Jakobs weapons meant that, when circle-strafing an enemy at melee range to take advantage of the damage buffs, I’d spend a fair amount of that time reloading. With Vladof gear, I can get more time actually shooting/hitting an enemy (plus, since my Vladof rep is built around melee anyway, he’s got more bladed gear and other skills that buff melee, plus Vladof can take advantage of the fire rate increase from that COM more than Jakobs can). Like the Wind is just something I haven’t really used before. It’s neat to me to see so many of Zer0’s skills active at once (that third skill that’s blanking out is him consuming Counter Strike).

Unrelated - as the game averages a frame rate of 100 (with occasional dips to 40, and spikes to 250), I wanted to see how fast I could make a gun fire. Bandit Mechromancer pulled out the Chopper (14.3), has 19.9% from BAR, 19% from a Bandit Allegiance relic, 26% from a Speedy Punk COM, 108% from The Better Half, and 25% from Discord, and dumped 686 rounds in four seconds. In ranged combat in wide outdoor areas with Physx going crazy, I won’t have the framerate to support that fire rate (170-ish?), but it’s still incredibly fun.

I actually enjoyed that combination for quite a while. Nothing as enjoyable as stringing together a whole bunch of incredible melee strikes and crit shots while emulating the opening game sequence. It got frustrating when I kept getting stuck on invisible objects, though. Plus it’s really hard to pull off when ascending the tower to fight Flyboy/Piston’s Blimp; that’s when I respeced!

I’ve never been able to fully appreciate Melee, I’m better at a run and gun assassin.

With B0re, DPUH, and all my BARs, Relics, and Character Mods, I can dump so many rounds at Hyperius that the screen locks up, and you just hear B0re going off like the Grand Finale on July 4th, then there is a lootsplosion.

No- Willie the Stalker just stayed on the stairs you climb that leads further into the WEP while 2 of the stalkers glitched together right in front of the cage they are supposed to escape out of. The mission said that only 2 of the 5 stalkers escaped and with all of skags and the badass stalker escaping I failed the secondary objective by 1…:unamused:

Axton Dahl rolled Arid Nexus Badlands and picked up Hungry Like the Skag. Went with an odd (for me) loadout: Teapot and corrosive Bearcat for the Loaders; Lascaux and fire Railer for the Skags. I never use the Lascaux because I really like elemental damage, but dang if this gun doesn’t hit hard. I was stirring up a bunch of different Skag mobs, kiting them towards each other, dropping turret into the middle of this mob, and laying into the mass with this SMG. I may bring it to my regular loadouts as my Dahl ā€œshotgunā€. I also wish the SMG accuracy from the Specialist COM would tighten the spread of this gun… I’d put points into Duty Calls just for this reason.

Started working on some of the unique quest reward missions with Dee Lightful now that she is level 72- picked up a slag Kitten on my first try, polished off Pyro Pete and did a favor for Hyperion in Lynchwood…

Spent 4 hours turning in the Orphan Maker Message in a Bottle… no Rustler’s
Wandered off in a huff to deal with Hyperius, and he dropped the one item I’ve been after for the last month - a white rarity ā€œWoodyā€ runner skin!! My runner skins are now complete
did a favor for Hyperion in Lynchwood…
Did you get all the sub quests? I’ve only done that once. It’s surprisingly hard to not have at least one eat a random barrel or die through some other means that breaks one’s score.

Maya Hyperion rolled Southern Raceway. There are no missions and the one map quest was done, so she cleared out the map all the way to Motor Mama with a corrosive Fibber (shotgun barrel) and Bane (for motorcycles), and a shock Slow Hand (Motor Mama) and Morningstar (for everyone else). Using the Bane against those motorcycles is a little exciting, because you can’t really dodge. Also, sniping the locals is tricky because their crit spot is their face, not their head (and with Ruin flying around, it’s easy to cause them to be slag proof).

Huh? What are you talking about?

I think he’s on about the sub objectives where you have to kill 25 enemies with each element. Getting 3 done is easy, but there’s no room for error if you go for all 4

OOOH, ok, I Understand now.

But they do explode when they hit you, don’t they? That’s what I remember, anyway.

They do, but they seem to do two levels of damage: zero or FFYL (and I try to keep my distance from those occasionally unslaggable bikers). :grimacing:

Hello to all who still play Borderlands 2. I wanted to make another forum just to ask this question, but have had no luck figuring out how. Anyways, I’m having the hardest time getting OP3, and I’m just stuck. I have the bee shield, DP unkempt harolds, the sherrif’s badge and the rapid infinity. I have gotten to the last part of Digistruct peak on OP2 but die almost immediately. I should also mention that I am Axton.

Is anyone willing to help me grind, or preferably use the Gunzerker to rocket jump glitch to the last bosses? Surely it will be much easier if you’re OP8. I just really want to get through it, and I’ve been wasting so much time getting all the way through over and over and dying.

I am playing on the xbox one version. My gamertag is knudiee

With my Original 6 yes, not so much with the new Vault Hunters. For Dee Lightful I would have had to respec out of Cloud Kill, as I found it also hampered trying to do the Medical Mystery: X-Communicate mission by killing bandits before the weapon could. And @knudieee- there is a 360 online Play and Trade thread that a moderator could move your request for leveling help to. I know you play on the XBox one but I think XBone users (like myself) still check out the 360 section as they may still have a 360 (as I do as well). Also, the Bee on the Peak isn’t the best shield to sport unless facing very specific bosses. You might want to try a Blockade or Antagonist instead…

Try this build:
http://bl2skills.com/commando.html#55054150015203014000005050144151

Legendary Soldier
Bone of the Ancients (from farming loot midgets-- corrosive is best for the Peak)
Quasar grenade mod
Bee shield and a defensive option

corrosive SandHawk
Grog Nozzle (from ā€œThe Beard Makes the Manā€-- don’t turn in the quest)
DPUH
Corrosive Pimpernel

That’ll get you solo through OP8

I thought they made Grog nozzle a quest reward?
