That will be rough, but only if Sal tries to tank his way through things (which I get is how most people play him). When I think of Salvador using these guns, here’s what goes through my mind:
- No reload penalty if he uses Auto-Load properly
- The intrinsically deep magazine size should lend itself to Money Shot chains
- Keep Firing (especially if augmented with Inconceivable and/or 5 Shots or 6) should provide really high fire rates
- Double Contraband Sky Rockets
Frankly, this is actually making me want to play Salvador now, if only to hear what a Money Shot chain sounds like coming out of the bottom of a Chopper magazine.

All of those except the money shot one are very good points. For money shot you usually want as low as mag as possible, like a 2 shot jakobs shot gun
I actually think that would be Gaige. Apart from The Better Half, I can’t think of any skills that would synergise well with Bandit guns. They are probably the worst guns for stacking Anarchy too. Still, I think she would perform well with Tattlers, Sawbars and some shotguns.
Sal was the first character I did the Bandit Allegiance playthrough in UVHM and I thought he fared pretty well. His massive fire rate boosts paired well with the large mag sizes and I even did a hybrid melee playstyle with him using a roid shield and Fistful of Hurt. As far as survivability went, he did ok. With my level 61 cap, I found that a health relic and some points in his health regen skills were good enough as long as I didn’t go in guns blazing and carefully used cover (which is indeed weird for most Sal builds).

Smaller, Lighter, Faster gives the reload buff with a negligible dip into the magazine size, and (perhaps my favorite) Deathtrap gets to use Roid shields (Love Thumper, Hide of Terra, for example). The Tattler, as you say, is incredibly good with her, but she’s otherwise pretty gear-independent? Best Friends Forever is primarily about Deathtrap, Little Big Trouble is primarily about shock (while Bandit gear doesn’t have quite the shock properties that Maliwan does, they’re no slouch), and Anarchy is just that. I think the most Bandit-esque play I do with her revolves around the deep shotgun magazines combined with Anarchy and Blood Soaked Shields/Unstoppable Force, namely, steamrolling right into mobs. The Better Half is nice, especially when you’ve got 100+ rounds left in some assault rifle that can take advantage of this.

I was getting soft playing all this TPS and playing on Maya and Gaige, so my friend and I did an old-fashioned OP8 raid run with me on Ninja/Killer duty and him on the Phaselock/Slag/Res. Things die soooooo fast when we’re both on our main’s, we’re just so efficient. lol

Maya’s 1-life playthrough is still going. I managed the gluttonous thresher easier than expected, and was able to maintain focus through the wave fight to get from Overlook to Sanctuary. Next up will be recruiting Brick, which will have to wait until I get back from a road trip to Boise (back late Sunday).
Aside from the story missions, I opted to do a Southpaw run and a couple other side things with the 1 life run. I’m very happy with it, so far.
Still haven’t swapped gear at any point.
Tried, failed, tried, failed then tried and again failed to get my hellborn krieg through op4. Flippin slag turrets…

I’m not entirely sure what you are talking about but what I was talking about is Zer0’s skill b0re which has some funny instakill interactions with a few enemies with adjointed hitboxes like Saturn.
