Weeell, this just happened. I picked up my Pimpernel (pretty good slag one) and started clearing dragon keep main quest to get to farming the lair. The guaranteed badass sorcerer on Hatred’s shadow battlements dropped me a chain lightning, haha. Saves me the trouble. This made me really happy.
Gotta love than RNG
I’ll confirm myself as weird but I’m more interested in that handsome blule bandit grenade that’s the item of the day

Careful now, if we make such a mockery of the Cobra here we might get in trouble lol, that’s one mighty insult to such a beloved and prestigious gun
I just now realized that when that one ECHO log in Bloodshot Stronghold is talking about building a shrine to Marcus, it’s talking about the sacrificial altar thing at the end of Bloodshot Ramparts.
How did I never make this connection before? It even has big bronze statues of Marcus!?!
In co-op, if a player jumps down into that hole right in front of said statue, they’ll be incinerated and the statue will spit out a few guns.
Sacrificial, indeed.
There’s actually a chance that it will spit out an extremely rare legendary, a dual-element fire and corrosive rocket launcher called the Truxican Drumpf
Finally got my Sal to L72. He’s the first character I’ve got there by only doing main story missions and not a singe sidequest (but did do main quest missions in the Torgue, Tina and Hammerlock DLC). Taking a breather before attempting Digistruct Peak. Want to see if I can get to OP8 without getting any unique quest weapons (e.g. Pimp), so I can just farm them when I reach it
I guess I never really paid attention, but do no ‘main’ quests reward you with unique/red text stuff?
I never thought of it before, but they generally don’t. There’s the Sand Hawk in the DLC, and the Basic Repeater at the start of course. And Flynt is guranteed to drop the Tinderbox when you kill him as part of the story. That’s it I think, everything else is from side quests. Interesting.
I think the SandHawk is a main quest reward (which is one reason I didn’t do that DLC), but otherwise don’t remember getting anything major.
The only other I can think of is the Warrior, even though his legendary drop after the moon shot doesn’t always show up (unless it falls into the lava or thru the ground…)
So armed with his trusty DPUH (not Torgue grip, unfortunately) and Grog Sal tore through the first OP level on Digistruct with ease. Used L72 Neogenator for added health regen and barely paused for breath. He’s so OP it’s unreal
Is there a popular name for the Grog Harold combo, a la Shamfleeting? There should be
Man, I’ve been playing a lot today. Some noteworthyish stuff that happened in this last session.
- Ran into Mamaril but unfortunately he didn’t give me anything good. Then again he would’ve needed to be pretty specific to match my needs right now.
- Accidentally travelled to Three horns divide, went to vendors there to refill ammo and picked up a low fuse Fire bee from item of the day that some of my other characters is going to have fun with later.
- Switched to normal to farm some challenges for the skins and complete the rest of the quests off the list just because. Got Torgue challenges and all raids down except Terra as I needed a break after all that. I didn’t remember the DLC raids on Normal spawn at their respective max cap instead of 50 so they were a cakewalk at this point.
- After Dragons I went to the aforementioned room to kill some mages and now I own another level 35 firestorm (had one already) but also a level 35 Chain lightning. Banking all of this for later characters or for throwing them to my friends when we coop. They aren’t quite as into the game as me so they don’t have any stuff in reserve. The amount of low level legendary grenade mods I have is baffling.
Drunken Harold would be both fitting and it sounds funny. Sounds like a disrespectful nickname people would give to a well known town drunk.
Yes! I love it!
Did 2 Digistruct Peak runs as Maya to try to cap a no BeeHawk 4x Assassin spawn. Haven’t seen that spawn since I last recorded it. It’s been weeks.
Ran to do “Safe & Sound” with Axton. I like mobbing in Sanctuary Hole, and I like doing that mission every so often to try for another Practicable Heartbreaker.
Currently beating up the Dragons with Sal to get more Eridium for OOO runs tomorrow.
I vote for Harrog.
