What did you do in BL2 during your most recent session?

Finished TVHM storyline with Gaige. Farming the warrior a bit before starting sides.

I’ve discovered a new hobby.

If the warrior is at 0 health, but not at his home position, you need to wait till he gets there and is ready. I’ve been taking this opportunity to run up to punch him in the toe to trigger the death scene. It is oddly satisfying.

My toe-punching antics have yeilded me 2 Conference Calls (still holding out for Shock and/or extra pellets) and 1 Gub.

APPEALING SAW DUMMY attempted to unlock OP4 last night. 3 tries. 3 fails. Marauders are making me insane (this includes Wott). They’re consistently breakdance sprinting between Harold pellets, somersaulting away from Baby Maker chucks, and generally floating like butterflies while stinging like bees.

This is part of why I love the Peak so much. It makes me problem solve. Build, gear, movement, ammunition strategy, starting position, etc.

I have time for 1-2 more tries this morning before work, depending on how far I make it. Since this run is incredibly Bandit heavy, I’m not expecting much success, yet.

PsychoArnarchist came back out to play after a looooooong hiatus (think he had a hernia…) Anyway, started thumping my way up through Guano Grotto. I reached the point where not using skill points was starting to really tell - going down way too many times. The last straw was all those brutes carrying the spiked shields that emerge when you try and take the elevator. Did it, but it took me a few respawns :frowning:

What finally persuaded me to start spending my skill points was a Loot Midget dropping me a levelled Legendary class mod! So I specced to take advantage of all six skill bonuses, then filled out a bunch of the Bloodlust tree. Finished off Mortar’s buzzard, Mortar, and grabbed the explosives much more easily after that. Ended up getting through to the Nexus before quitting to go do some Hammerlock Hunt co-op using Zer0Danger. Stopped that when I hit some pretty major lag (temporary freezing and major rubber-banding).

Had leftover pizza (with bacon on it) for lunch

Just NOPED out with BARex again! Beyond cheesing nothing seems to work! Mania/Bloodlust gives me the best survivabiltly with RtB and I did get him down to about 2cm of health.

Hellborn/Mania did nothing for me in this fight! Tossing Storm Fronts and getting to 100 stacks of Bloodlust never gave me a single Elemental Elation stack  Zero chance to regen health either :frowning:

Went down by a pair or EXPloader at Highland Outwash. Lost my Anarchy stacks. Went down again twice vs the Glutonous Tresher… Then I realized the mission is lvl 40 and I’m 38…! I could had still tried the “defend the beacon at Overlook” but I’m stuck with a lvl 20 Legendary Mechromancer class mod I want to change. So I went to gingertown. Flown thru it. A couple Fire Storm a a few mags from my Rhytmic ogre and the snowman melted like it was July. Got nothing from the train but made it to 39. Not sure if I should sacrifice my Anarchy and try it again, do another mission or simply head to Overlook.
Any suggestion for a decent Mechro Class mod I should look for?

I apparently received a visit from John Carpenter’s The Thing as I was farming for a new Slagga.

The one that boosts the skills you rely on most right now, or adds a much needed bonus (eg health regen or whatever). I’m not too picky while levelling to be honest!

Me neither! lol And right now my skills are a bit all over the place… oh well. I’ll just go with the flow.

I was actually reading this right when you posted

My recently resurrected Gaige has only one COM : Leg Mech - pretty great but whoever heard of having only one COM?

Yup! That sum it all! Thanks for the link thou. I know I should had look for that myself but feeling a bit lazy and from what I could see with the mods I have. Nothing really made sense. (Currently). I fell a little less lonely now!

@Dr_Do-Little IMO your best bet until you can get to the other legendary COM’s is the Legendary Mechromancer. It’s best for hitting on skills that are all around until you can decide how you wanna specialize your Gaige. I didn’t use the Anarchy skill until I hit UVHM and I found a Legendary Mechromancer COM earlier on so thats how I did it.

Same here. Maya finished Fink’s slaughterdome, got her Hails, and finished the Torgue DLC. BA Rex took three tries and it was very close on the third one. Then Piston himself took four attempts. After the initial try Piston camped the gate for a while. Finally he left to wander the Arena, so on the final attempt I could dodge his goliath-leap while Ruin applied slag to him, then spin around and Beehawk the crap out of him. Ugh. If only this was an optional end-of-DLC boss fight like Jackenstein, but sadly it’s the gateway to Pete the Starter Raid Boss instead so every character will have to do it… :frowning:

Re: fighting BA with Krieg, I found that to be much more enjoyable than with Maya. Granted it was TVHM not UVHM, so I’m not sure the same tactic works. He shot his Kerblaster whenever he could, ignored the nukes and used RtB to heal right back when health-gated, and wore it down. The nukes never fired with a cadence faster than about 20s, so there was no real danger of dying. It did take a while though.

Maya found that the nukes were often destroyed by an active Storm Front, which I thought was interesting. Her key to healing in that fight was to have a SF active as much of the time as possible so a Grog swap would fill her health back up quickly (the Hail’s 2% isn’t fast enough; it’s useful for sustained healing but not burst heals).

Anyway, back on topic. Maya finished by taking out her frustrations on Mr. Snowflake, Esq. Still no useful loot, not even enough eridium to finish another ammo category. Her bank account has mostly recovered from all the New-U fees though.

Earlier in the day Krieg did a bunch of Zaford-Hodunk quests, good for about half a level (now 41.6).

Took Sparx on a bit of a tour this time around. I set her up in my Infinity Gun Runner build to do some timed runs. We timed ourselves clearing a few maps, then beating a boss or two, and then set random way points to reach travelling across maps without fast travel.

A friend joined me for a few runs before we played some Keep Safe. One round of Keep Safe we added in the King of the Hill element which proved challenging when we set our guarded character somewhere other than our platform we were restricted to. Overall it was just a bunch of bs’ing around, but lots of fun.

Taking a break from Krieg with my limited time tonight. Remembered that I had the BA round left at Fink’s with my main Zero, and I’d been wanting to wrap that up in the hopes of pulling a corrosive Hail. I got my best BA Rex speed kill as Maya with a corrosive Lead Storm, so I wanted to see if the Hail would beat it. Also looking ahead to trying it with Krieg, and assume that the Hail will be better for him there.

Had an incredible time running the BA round with L Sniper + Pimps set up on Zero. Highlight was kiting a bunch of rushers to the bottom of the main staircase (the straight steps), throwing my decoy at the bottom, Quasar at the decoy, Kunai twice, and cracked the slag Pimp shot into the middle from the top of the steps at the last fraction of a second, killing the full group in one shot. There were at least 8 for the price of one bullet. Gotta love B0re. I may never get another set up that perfect in my BL2 days.

To cap it off, I got my corrosive Hail!

Forgot to say, I was farming for XP and any legendaries from the Loot Train, managed to get myself a Fire Bee ('nade mod, IIRC), a Legendary Mechro COM, and then finally got what I was after, a Legendary Siren COM.

Gonna push through Bloodshot Stronghold at some point, should be fun!

Finished up the Sanctuary side quests and Sawtooth Cauldron with Lord of Death and got a few orange goodies along the way- Elegant Thunderball Fists, L. Sickle, Nasty Kerblaster, L. Siren and Lobbed Pandemic. Played a version of King of the Hill when I picked up the Lost Treasure quest using a T’klope Buffalo and L. Sniper com (sniped bandits from the spot with the chest where you get the quest) and a purple pistol com with InfiniBee vs the Ambush Commanders ambush (used the platform directly across from the elevator). Will finish of Arid Nexus Boneyard and Badlands before finishing all side quests except A Real Boy: Human- have a feeling I may be dashboard farming that for a while to get what I want…:grinning:

Continuing my toe-punching ways while farming the Warrior.

I netted:
Potent Thunderball Fists
Hefty Shock Baby Maker
Flakker
3x Legendary Jack Masks (these annoy the living shit out of me. They should have removed them from all pools since the inclusion of the generic mask)

I also learned some things:
Jumping on Volcanic Rakks deals 2 damage each bounce.
You can not surf the Warrior’s body into the lava.
When you are full on grenades you can flip ones on the ground into the air. You can then bounce them off your body planes a bit.
