What did you do in BL2 during your most recent session?

Had some really bad luck with loot midgets yesterday. I only got a sawbar. I need to start farming other things now I geuss.

Went back to Thoughtlock Maya to save myself the bother of BARex for now. Ran to the WEP for loot midgets (TVHM) and got exactly nothing!

Sore eyes though so with all the colours flying around I think it’s time to stop!

Started playing BL2 again and plan on doing some recording with my OP0 Axton Jakobs Allegiance build. Made a clip of him going through Hayter’s Folly.

Took the corrosive Hail I picked up yesterday down to visit BA Rex to test it. Only made 2 runs. Comparing them to runs with the Lead Storm, they weren’t as quick, but felt very safe.

Here’s the first run:

After that, hopped over to Zero to kill BNK3R a couple times for money. No Sham, no Bitch. Interestingly, I got a world drop Pyrophobia on my first kill, and a Twin Hornet on my second. That Pyrophobia is only the second I’ve ever gotten, and the first was just a week or so ago.

Loot midgets at the WEP gave me a Longbow Fire Leech but 2.8s fuse :frowning:

Headed off to join the slabs and forgot how fun it is to play with the Goliath’s there! Got one of them up to GOD-Liath status and thoughtlocked him so I got the XP from his kills too! Stopped after getting back to Sanctuary.

I’m still on the fence with Thoughlock as a tool though. Very useful for speed running through mob areas and of course great for stopping Super Badass bot attacks plus since they remain walking around the crit spots are easily accessed when everything else dies.

That said I do quite like taking things out of the fight completely not to mention the very easy way you can use Phaselock to kill jet loaders when they fly over empty space…

Nice! It actually looks like this is easier at OP8 than at 72. At either level anything BA Rex does will health gate you, but OP8 Hail does 2.66x more damage (and thus healing as well). So you didn’t need to Grog-swap nearly as much, and Hail shots alone were all you needed when you did so keeping grenades active wasn’t necessary.

Obviously knowing the fight so well that you can launch Scorn a few seconds before the nukes even launch is handy too!

Back on topic - today’s session went great, until it didn’t. Gaige visited the Slab King, hit level 21, took out some loaders and a beacon, everything was going very smoothly and I was starting to think that Anarchy is so awesome Gaige might compete with Maya for ā€œfavorite characterā€ despite her otherwise poor skill tree. Then I’m guessing what happened is a loader arrived on the far side of the shipping crate from where she was helping Brick finish off a loader, and the impact knocked her off the cliff. Some sort of mystery impact physics death anyway. For any other character that’s a minor annoyance, but for Gaige that’s 140ish Anarchy stacks gone (I don’t think she was quite at cap, but close). :disappointed: I had been planning on continuing to Opportunity tonight, but why bother, either way she’ll be starting from scratch.

I’ll probably have a little more time to play later, but I think I’ll focus more on Elpis than Pandora for a bit…

Been playing with the Unofficial Community Patch on both Maya and Axton. Elephant Gun hits like a truck at OP8 and everything else just feels good to use.

Good, I was curious about the Elephant gun. Not that I plan to play on PC before BL3 but…

Spent the last two day learning to appreciate the Anarchy tree. Didn’t played that much with it before. Leveled up to 41 playing a bit of Bunkers & Badasses. Made it to 42 with the Clan War and went to WEP. With a Maggie and a Triquetra she’s lots of fun and deal swiftly with the pesky Rabbid Stalkers. I staterd with a blue Muckamuck to complete my Jackobs buid. I don’t mind those in NVHM and TVHM but… yeah… When Anarchy reach 100 it’s not the best tool! lol So i switched to a Torgue rifle. does the trick.

As for the COM I found a purple Improved Jill of all trade. Should do up to 50.

Didn’t have a big block of time today, so I left Zero at BNK3R. Logged on when I had 20 or so minutes to spare, killed him a few times, logged off. Rinse, repeat. Since getting the Pyrophobia and Twin Hornet on the first two kills upon arrival yesterday, the only legendary I’ve pulled has been a Legendary Mechromancer from the red chest under the waterfall area. Back up to 150 Eridium and max money, though.

First time I’ve heard of this. I love almost all of the changes. Leg sniper change practically makes Kill C0nfirmed even more bad than it is now and I don’t like how a couple of items they put into drop pools they chose badasses with multiple items already, most notably Henry.

My only problem with trying this out is that since it’s an unofficial thing how does it work for multiplayer?

Lord of Death finished off all other side quests except A Real Boy: Human and even managed to Save the Turrets on his last crack w/o having to quit/restart  Made short work of Hero’s Pass, Jack and the Warrior (finally settling for a Social CC) and then headed for Terra after a quick respec to go completely gun focused. The first attempt failed when he didn’t dodge Terra’s melee attack while dodging the beam attack from the tentacles. Even though his Infinity is only level 70 I’ve a good feeling he can pull this off so tomorrow will try again…

It’s a ā€˜patch’ that buffs about 100 items or so. Does not use a cheat engine or any other forbidden program but cannot be used on consoles due their own rules.

Pulled PsychoAnarchist back out to run Arid Nexus. Discovered at the first pumping station that I was a level 25 character using level 24 (and lower) gear against level 28/29 enemies… Actually managed to clear all three pumping stations, although the third one was a pain (as usual) and get to Arid Badlands. Decided to take a break there and level up before tackling Saturn though.

Switched to MayaHelpYou to advance her in TVHM: cleared out Liar’s Berg, picked up a shield (or two!) and got some fur trim for a certain gentleman’s hat. A cataclysm Maya sniping with a level 30 slag Pimpernel against level 34 bandits is pretty fun. Getting the Bullymong fur with Cloud Kill etc. was tricky - literally burned through at least 3x as many Bullymongs as needed to get the fur because of all the elemental damage buffs.

And then it was time to bid a temporary Adieu to Pandora, and start a brand new character on Fallout 4 because Reasonsā„¢.

Sometimes you just feel the need. Been there. :acmferro:

I also feel burnt out. I downloaded a Gameboy Color emulator for my phone and the original pokemon games.

Not feeling burned out so much as just needing to keep some variety. There are a bunch of games I really should finish off as well that are just sitting there. I think with BL2 (and Battleborn) the intensity of mobbing fights, with all the visual fx going off, tends to fatigue me more than it used to. FO4 (and its predecessors) is the perfect antidote in many ways - same shoot and loot, but I can totally change the pace any time I feel like it, and the visuals are a lot more subdued.

As far as I understand it, as long as everyone applies the patch before joining the game it has no issues in multiplayer. And even if you don’t all apply the patch and just the host does, I recall him saying it works OK, just not perfectly.
