I did 16.5 Southpaw clears this morning. 66 Assassins, 0 Emperor drops, and the hot fix is in effect.

Along the way, I used 3 specs. Twisted Pimp (which I use a lot, lately) and a couple L Binder + Sub-Sequence builds, with and without Thought Lock.

Sawbar all day long.

That gun is awesome.

Ive mostly got hyperiusā€™ number op8 so im figuring out terra now. It is not going well. Once got him down to under 1/4 and got excited and greedy. Around 40 or so deaths. Im changing little things. Its doable and i can usually get him down between 1/2 and 1/3 if i dont make any dumb mistakes. Im gonna try longbow slag crossfiring him everytime he emerges to up my dps, at least when hes out a ways. When hes in close and slapping i can usually manage by grog/firestorm or fastballing. Ammo is not a big problem as the tantacles are fairly generous. Why terra? For the crap drops and the challenge.

Iā€™m way ahead at work, so Iā€™m taking a few minutes at the end of my day to add this to what I should have said about this morningā€™s Southpaw runs. Soā€¦ 0 Emperors in 16.5 runs, as I mentioned. What I forgot to mention is that I got an OP8 Sublime Volcano from an Ironclad Lunatic, and an OP8 Avenger from the red chest at the end. So, I got a world drop Legendary AND pulled a pearl out of a chest in less time than it has taken me to see another Emperor drop.

ā€¦and here I sit, itching for a chance to get home and dive back in! Good thing I love running Southpaw.

My Axton finally beat Terra solo OP8. Man it was tough. Took 3 nights, maybe 20 attempts a night. Finally got him. Of course drops were crap, but thatā€™s one boss I do for the battle not the loot. So much time spent holding the grog and chucking nades just to stay alive when thereā€™s 8 fire tentacles just wailing on you. I knew I had him when he was about 1/2 dead and he went into his blackhole thing. I started hitting him with longbow slag crossfires and dousing him with my fire lead storm. I got him down to just about a quarter off that alone I survived a close shave then he had just a bit of life, like 1/8 inch and he went into the boulder tentacles thing. This is one of the easier phases and you get a lot of time to do damage. I was sure not to rush it or do anything stupid and finally he fell.

Have Axton doing the Medical Xcom-municate mission for Doc Zed (and Doc Mercy was kind enough to drop me a N.E. OP8 Rapid Infinity as way of thanks) and will be delivering some mail as well. Took the time to eridium farm the Ancient Dragons with my alt account Maya for the mules on my primary account- if I ever take the time to at least finish normal with them theyā€™ll have a truckload of level 35 gear waiting for them to start TVHM withā€¦

Still levelling up my axtonā€¦at 71 and primarily doing WEP farming. One interesting thing I noted. You can get alot of XP at the gate right before you enter that gate that leads to the slaughter dome by standing on the red chest crevice, throwing down a turret for slag in the skag and stalker infested area for agro and then spam Bonus packagesā€¦it should take out 80% of the enemy and tons of XP. I should also toss a couple nukem rounds in there as well.

Just took another run at the peak to unlock OP4, got as far as the assassins again then got taken out by them. If I get downed once then thatā€™s pretty much me done. I at least managed to take out a few turrets to get out of FFYL this time, but as soon as I came out of it I went straight back in again. Eventually I took out all the turrets but the assassins just would not die. On the plus side, one of the Scorches dropped me an OP4 hellfire and one of the Black Queens dropped me an OP4 Derp Nukem so it wasnā€™t a total loss. Think Iā€™m going to find myself an OP4 DPUH now just for something to do, and maybe farm for some slightly better relics. They wonā€™t help me a huge amount with getting past the assassins, but itā€™s something to do at least, lol.

About to start looking for the Firehawk with Axton in his all OP8 run. Finished Creature Slaughter with Sal and mow dashboard farming a derp Creamer- this might take a while (he said after getting 12 Miss Moxxie Creamers in a rowā€¦.).

Nice long session in yesterday (8 hrs on and off). Started with 30 straight minutes of farming torgue machine for my perfect DPUH or hard. No luck, not even close.

Continued doing side quests and seeing parts of Pandora I never seen before. I feel a little guilty not playing my other 2 characters (level 38 Sal and 42 zero) but Iā€™m having a good time running quests with Axton.

Today I think Iā€™m going to try to get to op3 with my level 71 DPUH again. Been struggling a bit. I canā€™t use my bee too much because of those surveyors so it takes forever to kill things even when their slagged. (Thatā€™s why I was farming a new DPUH, but if I can get to op3 first I can get a higher level Harold) double edge sword. Wish me luck!

Since my last post, Iā€™ve done another 11 Southpaw clears as Maya (Twisted Pimp build with a Sawbar). That pushes the total number of Assassins to 110 since I started counting. I pulled a Bonus Package out of the red chest, giving me 2 random legendaries and a pearl in less time than it took to see an Emperor again. Finally got another Emperor. Maliwan stock, Maliwan grip, Dahl sight, Bladed prefix, non-elemental, OP8. In theory, thatā€™s a very sub-par configuration, falling behind my Dahl grip, Dahl stock, Maliwan sight non-elemental Skirmish Emperor. In play, itā€™s actually very good. The Dahl sight is awesome for quickly lining up crits.

Still at it, trying to get an incendiary OP8 Emperor!

Spent some time messing around with @Chuck80 's Spy (Deputy) Zero build, but I failed miserably with it (I really do suck at this game, lol). Tried a few more runs through the peak to unlock OP3 with Zero (Using a sniper build) And failed miserably on most of them, the last one however I made it through with very little trouble. Unfortunately I canā€™t take any pride in this since I used the Rising Shot glitch to build up 100 stacks before I started, as a result Iā€™m not allowing myself to move up to OP3 until I do it legitimately.

Other than that I spent a bit of time just running around shooting things and having fun with Maya. I think tomorrow Iā€™ll take another look at some builds for Krieg and see how I get on with them.

Soloed the Peak with Maya, OP2 down, 6 to go. Decided to play some of the DLCs after (reset my maya awhile ago to open up other looting options than I had). Regeared and slaughtered my way through Sir Hammerlockā€™s and COC.

Then switched to Sal for some solo peak runs. Slaughtered my way to OP2, but caught a lil bad luck on the OP3 runs and took a breather by trying to solo the dragons with underleveled gear, but couldnā€™t make a dent this time around, so I walked away to come back another day.

Took a break from farming the Bunker for a corrosive Bitch and decided to go play in The Beatdown for a bit. The combination of my new incendiary Bitch and N.E. Redundant Ladyā€™s Fist makes that whole area 10 times easier than the last time I was there.
Stopped in at Peteā€™s bar for some tier 3 testing of new gear that I have. The winner and absolute standout of the bunchā€¦ my N.E. Potential Butcher. Itā€™s 7+ fire rate, plus my cleric coms fire rate and crit bonus, plus full Wreck, Accelerate, Mindā€™s Eye, and Reaper is amazing! Throw in an amped up Bee shield and I beat my best clear time by nearly a minute. I like that :smile:
On a side note: I just realized why picking up Eridium didnā€™t flash the total in the lower right corner like it normally doesā€¦ seems to be a 500 limit. I never knew that lol.

Southpaw is still being stingy with Emps, but I just pulled a corrosive Severe Shredifier out of the red chest. This place is giving me more randoms than Emps! No complaints with a Shredifier!

I finally got my OP8 incendiary Emperor, and I got the Maliwan sight and Stopping prefix! I pulled it on the last Assassin of a run and immediately started a series of zone clears. Dust, Frostburn, Arid Nexus - Badlands, Forest, and on to Rotgut Distillery (so far). Iā€™m running with the corrosive and incendiary Emps equipped, having a blast!

I bought Gaige on Friday. Leveled her with Maya, mainly cause I really didnt want to trudge thru NVHM again! Now its on to TVHM with level 31 Gaige! Also did some Snowman farming with Maya to look for more equipment for Gaige. Yes I could do it with Gaige, but Rough Rider Maya is ALOT quicker!

Found the Firehawk with Axton on his OP8 run and looked into joining a cult. Finally got the Gearhead achievement using Sal, leaving only the side missions in Capt Scarlett to finish- which means taking on Master Geeā€¦:scream:

Took on Gee earlier. After failing at the grenade/gate trick, I settled for the hide-behind-the-rock-for-an-hour trick. Got him to absorb 1 acid pool and then about 8 worms showed up. I finished off the second damaged worm, jumped over the pool and threw my turret into it and ran like hell for the rock. His shield was dropping slowly and no one was aggroing on me, so I went and ate dinner, spilled lemonade under the fridge, moved the fridge, mopped the whole kitchen, and when I came back, he still had about 12% health left. When he finally died, there was an ahab on the ground. I mostly wanted it for a friendā€™s gunzerker, but I can scratch Gee off the list. Might not do him again.

Hyperius, on the other hand I enjoy farming. Killed him about 12 times tonight and still no norfleet. My success ratio with him is getting rather high, which is good because once youā€™ve killed him, dying locks you out and you have to run Washburne again. i can usually run the two passable parts of it with evolution, grog out and corrosive crossfires lighting up the groups of loaders, but its still a hassle. So many tattlers and retchers. I got a nade from him Ive never seen before. An incendiary Kiss of Death. Blue color, red text. Tried it on the big fella, was unimpressed and sold it.

I had to look it up to make sure, that grenade should come from Moxxi, but it seems to be able to drop from Hyperious too!
