Didn’t have as much time yesterday as I thought. Ran the peak trying to get to op3. Failed! I really need a bee that grants electrical immunity. I have a transformer that does that but it’s level 71 and without the amp damage it’s taking too long to kill things. Anyways got pissed after a few dumps on that and decided to make a Maya mainly for a mule, but also to check out her skills a bit. Made it to sanctuary with her, then moved some inventory around.
Oh yea, farmed the torgue machine a bit after the op3 fail attempts (my DPUH is currently 71 with a vladoff? Grip) thinking an op2 DPUH with torgue grip will get me through to op3

Tried for OP3 with Maya, bit it at the hands of the slagged army about half way through (having some issues seeing the crit spot on those slagged centurions since the cover up in PL) . Took Sal to OP4 solo, then farmed the dragons a bit for a new Blockade for Maya. Got a nice storm front and a handful of Stingers from the dragons as well.
Now with Maya re-geared with a bit better equipment, gonna take her back to the peak next.

Steamniixtest, do you have any videos about Hyperious? I am trying to get him with my Sal, and keep getting nuked. When he starts jumping around, he takes me down faster than I can get health back. Generally run a Deputy Sal combo, Grog/ROM and creamer/pimp. Don’t really like the creamer/pimp though. Having the pimp in the off hand makes the reload go full time, which is 4 seconds.

Antagonist, Grog + fire Infinity/Lady Fist, fire Bone. Very safe and consistent way to get Hyperius solo with Sal. Time consuming, but very consistent.
Grog and fastball. Instant full health. Some use the chain lightning which you dont even have to aim. I like having to aim the fastball and the sound it makes when you connect. Takes me about 15 minutes I think. I could do a video but my console doesnt know \recorddemo and I dont have a console. How would I go about recording a video?
I used the Deputy Sal build with a Chain Lightning to maintain health when Hyperious did his novas. Just took my time and aimed for his head as much as possible while circle strafing him- took about 10 minutes I think…

I use this build, it absolutely destroys him in a matter of seconds.
Except for the points in Filled To The Brim (I had them in Hard To Kill) this is pretty much what I ran when I first played Sal- the Deputy Sal build was/is a change of pace for me…

I think Chuck pointed out to me in his Deputy Sal thread that you can use both weapon loadouts, have the ROM/Grog as one set and the Pimp/Duuurp as another, It doesn’t work quite as well as using the specific builds for each set, but it still wrecks pretty much everything.
Got Maya to OP8. During the run, I had a regular Psycho Midget drop an OP5 shock Avenger…
Well, it helps my ammo-chewing Sandhawk by a little.
The run was smooth. Someone with a lvl 67 mechro joined me, thinking I’d kick him, but his Deathtrap restored my shield when I needed it the most, and provided enough distraction when I fought Scorch, Dukino’s Mom, four Assassins at once, and Saturn. He finally died when we were fighting OMGWTH as he was in a cover and I couldn’t Res him. Anyway, a fun run it was. The run also took him to lvl 68, which is not a lot.

Finally finished up Tina’s DLC, from the forest all the way to the end. Did pretty good I think… only died twice on the way (stupid reflective skeletons
) until I hit the handsome dudes demonic phase at the end. Once I went down, him AND an ancient red dragon both camped right on top of the teleport spot, making it literally impossible to get more than 5 steps before getting 1-shotted by point blank dragon DoT. Think I died like 5 more times before I got smart and sniped the dragon from below, then lobbed splatgun fire up onto the tower level to draw the sorcerer away from the teleport. It worked, and without the ancient dragon cheap-shotting me, the sorcerer didn’t last a minute after that. Butt Stallion kindly dropped me a Flakker, of which I only already have like 20 of. So now it’s ‘farm the horse’ time… see what she pops out lol.

I killed BNK3R twice this morning, then went Tubby hunting! I got two Tubbies. One dropped a skin that I already had. The other dropped a Legendary Nurse. That doesn’t excite me. It also dropped a shock Practicable Butcher. That DOES excite me! My previous PB is non-elemental. The new one has higher base damage (!!!), +2 mag size, and 3.9 reload (downgrade from 2.7). Overall, it’s a huge upgrade. Being able to boost it with a shock com is awesome, and it’ll obviously strip shields faster.

Took a friend through the Bloodwing Mission. Before and after farmed Hyperius. Out of about 10 kills, no norfleet but 2 shreddifiers. My corrosive one is an ok gun. Oh yeah, and retchers, tattlers and evolutions out the wazoo. I got a really good evolution with over 1000000 capacity. Died 3 times to Hype. Twice to, I think, he seems to triple nova at times, or maybe that wasn’t it. Once cause I got my fingers off my movement keys and for some reason could not find them again (during giant and jumping on your head phase).

Finally managed to get myself a Chaotic Evil Monk with +6 in Money Shot. I have no idea what happened to the one I previously used. I can only assume it is in the bank in Sanctuary.
I then proceeded to Pyro Pete at OP8, and can now kill him quite reliably. The only problem I have is running out of ammo after his shield pops.
Edit: I mean I can now kill him quite reliably at OP8, rather than struggling or not killing him at all.
I also fed all 500 Eridium to Butt Stallion. Didn’t get anything of worth, I was just seeing if he would drop me a legendary.
I also took the Handsome Sorcerer out, just the once. He dropped me an OP8 Bee with better Amp Damage than the one I currently had equipped. I posted it in IFotD if anyone’s interested.

That’s an iPhone shot of my tv after soloing Invincible Son of Crawmerax the Invincible as Maya. I’ve come close a few times, but this run was pretty close to perfect. When he died, I only had two ads left to clear out. Loot and chest loot were terrible, but this one is all about the fight. I looooove this raid.
Edited to ad: that picture came out so bad! Wow…

Picked up a casual flakker with my siren. Did a few test runs through the dust and with the snowman to get the hang of the distance and approach (I have been dismissing this gun for years). After wrecking the snowman a couple times with it (no bee, no PL, just Flakker), I think it is going to work to get past the slagged army in the peak. Giving this a whirl after work.
Tried for OP5 solo with Sal as well. Did not anticipate a load of auto-turrets and lack of actual enemies, so I went down pretty fast. I think I may need something a little more accurate than my blue quad for this. Going to go grab a striker and try again. The solo adventures through the peak continue.

Killed Hyperius twice with Sal. Two poor-parts, NE Tattlers, and my first never Norfleet (YAY!!!), which is slag (Boooo!!!). Then went and started working on Hyperius with Axton. Died three times while trying to use a corrosive Infinity to down the bots, with the intention of saving SMG ammo for Hyperius.
Then I scrapped that and did this:
http://bl2skills.com/commando.html#55050154015500014000005050145141
Bee
Chain lightning
Fire Bone, corrosive Bone
Legendary Soldier
Fire Sandhawk
Corrosive Sandhawk
Corrosive Pimpernel
Fire Pimpernel
Grog Nozzle
Strategy:
- obviously started by Beehawking
- when ads came, Beehawked them
- threw down both turrets between H and I when he prepped to nova, promptly picked them up when the second flashed
- when I got to 1 bot left, switched to corrosive Pimpernel and fire Bone to save SMG ammo and not damage the bot too quickly
- Threw down both turrets and Beehawked Hyperius when he dropped his shield. His health went down very fast.
- hype got to 25% before the bot could die, so I left it up and switched strategy with my turrets. At this point, I used turrets for offense and used Grog + Chain Lightning to deal with novas
- ran out of SMG ammo, switched to fire Pimp and ■■■■■ Hype.
- finished the last bot.
It was shockingly easy this way.
No idea where the good loot went. Going to try to do it again.

Basically what i do hd. To save smg ammo i use a corrosive spinigun and pimpernel on the minions. And i take a hornet too. But same relics and basically same approach. Im really into farming Hype lately. Dont know why but Im rolling with it. Got it some really nice evolutions. Still gotten all my norfleets from vermi but sooner or later Hype will have to drop one. I have a lot of crystals. Too bad most seraph gear is crap.
Oh and you can just ride out the novas pre-jumping phase. You will lose your shield on the first of the pair and he will health gate you on the second. Grog yourself back up to health. Just dont get hit by a rocket.
