Today I went to a bookshop, bought some books, then proceeded to play Borderlands 2 for the rest of the day. Been working on my melee zero… played this character to mid-40s as a sniper, I think in coop, but decided to revive him and turn him into melee. He’s at 55 now - I can’t wait till I get Death Blossom.

I’m not sure why, but melee zero was the vault hunter I didn’t play at all till recently… and it’s a lot of fun. Normally my Pandoran style is a little weird (and inadvisable) but I’ve got for a more ‘classic approach’ as I learn him and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I should probably work tomorrow but I expect I’ll sneak in some more time with him

Yup. I think what happens if you do Ancient Dragons, is you get one raid boss loot pool for each dragon - you certainly get way more eridium from them, anyway!

I was back on that Fibbler-farmin’ train last night. I went ahead and ran Sal through the preliminary missions as well. So now I have Sal and Maya set up right at the entrance to the Ore Chasm, ready to dashboard farm until I get the last two Fibbers that I want (shock and slag, ricochet barrel, Hyperion grip, not bothered about prefix).

Probably spent about an hour and a half farming that turn in last night, but to no avail. We’ll get back at it again tonight.

Just yesterday I was in Eridium Blight watching the fire and lightning effects.

Its easy to take them for granted whilst we’re pootling around looking for loot but there really are some fantastic effects in BL2.

Eridium Blight is probably my favorite map. I love the dark ominous atmosphere and the lighting and sound effects (that ominous volcanic rumble in particular) and the music fits it perfectly (side note: I kinda wish that music wasn’t re-used in the Torgue and Scarlett DLCs). Also because I’m partial to maps that lend themselves to vehicle travel… I like jumping in a vehicle and making ‘road trips’ around the map to poke around or rough up various bandit camps or whatever.

Haha, I don’t think I’m that desperate. This upcoming Friday I will be receiving enough money to make one of two decisions;

• A) Purchase BL2 for download on my 360 (this would also include all DLC I would need as well)

or

• B) Purchase a used ps3 system replacement - one of a newer generation for certain.

Aside from that, a couple of BL2 groups I’m involved with are making good use of my knowledge. I’m busy appraising their weapons; identifying parts and accessories for them. Yes, they could do this with the same chart I use, but they’ve admitted that since I’ve got it mostly memorized it’s quicker to just show me a picture. And they’re being kind enough to include me in the world I’m not able to access for the time.

If you do this, and put your save files in the cloud sync folder, you’ll be able to keep playing should you ever upgrade to XB1 without having to buy the game again thanks to backwards compatibility. Of course, you would need to start over completely from scratch.

If you stick with PS3, you’d be able to migrate your save files to PS4 later on, but you’d have to purchase the Handsome Collection to do so. (Not that having both BL2 and TPS for whatever the sale price happens to be is a bad thing!)

Edit: If you do decide to go 360, I can drop you some spare gear to help get you going.

Farmed Tubbies with Krieg for around 3 Hours. Finally (!!!) got my Legendary Torch COM. Now that I have all of Krieg’s legendary COM’s, onto doing OP2. Still deciding which build I’m going to run through with.

Resumed leveling up my Axton file. Went from level 38 to 40, hopefully tomorrow I can get him to level 45. Not used to his style. Still, I have a Legendary Engineer, Ranger and Soldier to try out on him- It would be a waste to not achieve his potential.

Logged in as Krieg, again. Haven’t touched the other classes in a few days. Still love them, just having fun with the process of rushing this one to 72, ASAP.

First order of business: switched heads. He’s joining Handsome Ax and Handsome Deputy in the incredible good looks department. Now that he’s rocking Jack’s mask, he’s APPEALING SAW DUMMY. May switch it up later and go “RELENTLESS SAW DUMMY”. We’ll see.

With that out of the way, got down to business in Pete’s Bar. I switched up skills about a dozen times, seeing which ways worked best. Bloodsplosion is stupid fast and crazy fun.

Psymonkee had a little advice …

At 58 you can just spec into Mania/Bloodlust, grab a low level slag bouncing betty and get to work killing off Pete!

Ninja_Mrrr had a rubbish day yesterday, but will bounce back i’m sure, as was done from this little setback …

Due to a loss of power, my session was cut short however; I intend to pick it back up as soon as I can. A small amount of progress was made during the short time I did play.

He is now level 40 (almost 41).

And so the journey continues…
Once my power had been restored, I loaded back into where I had been so rudely interrupted. Or so I thought. Turns out, it didn’t save the work I had put in and I found myself back at level 38.

The parts could literally not be worse but I’m happy to finally get one so I can figure out what the hell to do with it.

Well i can think of a few things Jefe that might have help you decide …

• 1. Make yourself $8,209,888 richer
• 2. The Overlook Grinder has chewed up a few of these in the past, so one more wont hurt … #
• 3. Give it to Adabiviak who can do a 720 no-scope Buzzard killing demonstration
• 4. you could have just left it there like you didn’t see it, or just walked past it in a really cool fashion

Worblehat had been to visit Jackenstein and managed a “W” there but scored twice on the day …

The best “loot” was the Steam achievement for completing The Fall of Nakayama, my first BL2 achievement since March 5th last year.

VaultHunter101 had a crazy encounter in Frostburn Canyon …

Running through the caves in Frostburn Canyon, there was mutual startlement between myself and a loot midget: I forgot to shoot for a few moments, while he got stuck in the ammo crate with only his head sticking out. Somehow he still managed to hit me with his bullets, so a gathered myself and took him out (no-scope sniper FTW). Got an Unkempt Harold out of that little encounter, which was sweet. Found another Loot Midget a little later, but he didn’t drop anything of note. Oh, and a Goliath fired straight into a corrosive barrel, which then knocked the Goliath’s hate off. I ended his embarrassment as fast as I could.

Then sadly back to being an adult with adult responsibilities for a bit /sigh.

We found some strange invite to the Holy Spirit bar, something about a ‘Festival of Light’. So we duly took the invitation and wow, it was stunning. Looked like the forest in Avatar.

I then went and farmed a couple of shields and was surprised to learn that an elemential resistance doesn’t mean a higher amp damage as is proven by these two shields with identical stats …

They obviously share the same or similar parts but in a different configuration.

Not sure what to do with this Zero now as it was challenging at the start without a shield for so long but now with decent gear he does it ok, so maybe a change of teams to make it more fun in the future.

Today was Zer0Danger’s turn to withdraw erirdium from the Vault of the Warrior. On the way there, I settled the point how how soon can you do projectile (bullet) damage to the final constructor.

Then, in the process of making a series of withdrawals, Zer0Danger also knocked off a couple of BAR sniper rifle challenges (including no-scope!). I’m now sitting here:

After that, I made a fake beard for a fake wizard, and defeated multiple Golems. No good drops though, just some eridium and cash and a poor quality purple Bandit SMG.

Edit 2: “Count” is actually the number of runs for which the data is reported. I should fix that in the spreadsheet!

Weighing my options, it seems that in terms of monetary value: it would be most wise for me to get a new ps3. The price for the game and every DLC I would need adds up really quick. Plus I would have to also have to purchase a gold membership again.

And I’m sure my husband would appreciate me not hogging our (temporary) only source of entertainment. (He has come to hate BL2 with a passion. Doesn’t understand how I can still be playing this months later.) Although I may consider doing both at one point so I can have more than one access to the game and he can stop nagging about how I hog the living room to play. (Its where we have our nice 63inch is t.v. )
