What did you do in TPS during your most recent session?

Visited the Meriff with my lvl 33 TVHM Claptrap, and continued doing the main storyline, until reaching Pity’s Fall. Level 34 now, and I’m having a much harder time with TVHM this time with Clappy than I did with Aurelia, but oh well.

Took my Athena back out for a bit more UVHM. Helped some bots and a really lost explorer, found a mine shaft, fought off a flying fortress, explored some caverns, travelled to another dimension (possibly) and passed on a message. Went from 62.0 -> 62.5 Augh!

Leveling up is definitely tedious in tps… My buddy and I played our lvl 63 co op toons on the uvhm campaign a while Saturday evening and only moved a level and a half. Went from just after getting to Concordia all the way through Bosun and ready to start heading to felicity. Even done the side missions to get the Fatale farmable to grab a couple fresh level 64 versions…

Looooots of TPS yesterday, since my school’s spring break is upon us and I don’t have to worry about lesson planning for a few days.

First off, put in about 4 hours farming BAR with Nisha. And by farming BAR, I mean the dreaded Crouch Potato challenge. I alternated between running the Hub of Heroism and Titan Industrial Facility, since I was also trying to finish off level 5 of Ammo Eater for that nifty Vladof skin. Each run through the HHoH netted me 50-60 kills, depending on spawns, and the Industrial Facility was good for about 110-120 per run, plus a few bandits and torks that let me bump Battle Star up a couple points. MUST GET ALL THE SKINS!!

Anyways, after finally finish Crouch Potato, I hopped over to my Jack, who had just entered Pity’s Fall. I traversed the Drakensburg, killing actual space pirates, before meeting a fella named Poop Deck. Pulled out my incendiary Wet Week to try to get the challenge done, but was unsuccessful. Oh well. I’ll try him again on TVHM.

Anyways, continued past Mr. Smelly and challenged this guy Keith to a duel. He had a flying chair, but I had a Tediore shock beam laser. And a couple of digital backups. So you can imagine how that fight went (spoiler: it went really well for me). Rescued Skip, knocked out the side missions (got a Meat Grinder and blasted off a rocket with the Meriff’s face on it!) and then moved to the Titan Industrial Facility to make some robots.

All the TIF runs blend together at this point, but I don’t think I had any issues taking Jimothy through the area. Blasted through the Robot Production Plant too. The lasers really eat through the scavs on Normal mode; I had forgotten how quickly they do that. Took down Robo-Felicity and took my spoils back to Concordia.

Moxxi let me touch her chest, and I got some great stuff from it, really gave me the strength to go on. Blasted through some troops on Helios before meeting up with Gladdy again to rescue his senile ass. Helped Dr. Langois get a picture of a kid that looks nothing like him and then called it a night. Jack is super fun to play as.

Which mission(s) for that? I could use a few upgrades!

Pickle mission treasure of Sierra madre or whatever it is and rough love from Nina in Concordia. After completing rough love Drongo Bones becomes farmable for the Fatale. It’s a real quick farm for sure and he’s easy to kill as well. We had both got a fresh one and it took about 20 mins or so to farm them… Prob about 15 kills give or take a couple.

Thanks! I have both of those done already; didn’t know what Drongo’s drop was. Will have to pay a visit soon…

No problem…definitely worth keeping a Fatale on hand that’s up to date… May go and try to pick up a Fridgia at some point as I’ve never tried one out and seems like it could be a pretty cool weapon from what I’ve seen.

It’s a good weapon (Fridgia) - worth it in my view.

I’ll have to give it a go… Although I only have an Athena at 64 and a Nisha at 29 at this point prob just roll the Fatale for now.

Another monster BAR session for me. Knocked out The Duelist and Up Unt At Zem with Nisha, Wilhelm, Athena, and Claptrap. Also kicked out Trade Negotiations with Athena and Clappy; I’ll have to go back to do them with Nisha and Wilhelm. Sitting at just under 37k for BAR right now… not bad, not bad. Probably gonna either fire up Timmy next or try to make some Crouch Potato progress with Big Willy Style.

I bought the Holodrome this weekend using the half price on Steam opportunity. It’s not so bad after all, I like it actually! (was a bit skeptical after all the reviews I red). My level 60 Jack and Aurelia are moving forward!
I stopped after having done level 1 to 4 with Jack and 1 & 2 with Aurelia. Nice skins and heads. Need to reset to now have this pistol at level 1 (forgot the name)

Wilhelm finally met his match. Got stuck on Denial Subroutine. I think I know how to beat it but I had quite a few attempts yesterday and failed badly. Actually nice to have a real challenge…Wilhelm just pwned the main game.

Went back to work with Tim after the BAR sessions. Cleaned up R&D and the Hub without any trouble whatsoever, traversed the Veins (and suffered my first non-poor-vehicle-mechanics-related death at the hands of the Badass Boil and Badass Marine that spawned in and decided to team up), and took care of the creeps in the Lunar Launching Station. Shut down some reactors, met an old foe from BL1 and shut down its ocular sensor, and then got ready for Vorago Solitude. Made solid progress on Jack’s Crouch Potato throughout the session, he’s over 1000 kills made for that challenge. Should be able to complete level 4 before beating the main game, then it’ll be smooth sailing through Guardian Hunter.

Also, have I mentioned that the Doppelganger is really fun to play as?

Finally got my Nisha started on TVHM yesterday… Went all the way from the start and am currently setting at the start on my way to Red and Belly. No great loot to speak of but didn’t have a cryo weapon of any sort for badasses so I did a little gambling and picked up a Hyperion cryo synergy with a 7.1 fire rate and a 12 elemental effect chance that works pretty good once I get unchained rocking and a kill to start off showdown. Hoping to grab a new Striker before I leave the area today or tomorrow.

Well what a night.

To set the scene I got a little carried away the last couple of sessions farming Iwa (mainly for moonstones, but cash & weaponry was rather welcome too. In particular a Cryo Machine & Ol’ Painful) & before I knew it I’d hit lvl 33. Somewhat high considering I’d yet to reach Vorago Solitude in NVHM.

Aaaaaaanyway, decided I’d re-equip with some on level gear (I had all this money lying around after all) & after a few purchases & a few dozen attempts at grinding I had 2 very nice droogs (cryo & corrosive) & a great Jakobs Calipeen along with a Purple Tediore shield. All this extra loot meant Vorago Solitude passed by in about 20 mins, including all the side missions available at that point & RK5 took about 6 shots to bring down. Tychos Ribs proved no greater challenge either & I was in Eleseer before I found anything I couldn’t 1-shot. I did take a slight detour to go & insult Nel again. Getting a lvl 29 Skullmasher after forcibly calming him down.

With all that I felt I had a pretty good shot at the Sentinel, particularly as the vendors at the entrance to Eleseer held a really good blue adaptive shield. Guardians didn’t pose much of a problem, pretty much lining up & getting shot down in short order on my way to the big guy.

The main event went pretty smoothly, couple of ffyl incidents during the first phase but nothing major (though I did have to switch out my class mod & oz kit for some healing & make liberal use of transfusion grenades) my Skullmasher was just about perfect for the job. The rest of the fight went without incident & all of a sudden I’m looking at a big pile of loot where the main games big bad used to be.

Aurelia’s now around lvl 33.6, all area specific BA challenges done (except for the annoying Tread Carefully), armed to the teeth with a fair amount of on level gear & I’ve still got the Holodome & CV to do in NVHM.

I’ve been working on Aurelia in UVHM, occasionally hopping over to Wilhelm or Nisha. A couple days ago, they were Aurelia 51, Nisha 51, Wilhelm 54. Aurelia has gone to 55, Wilhelm is close to 55, and Nisha is 52.

Aurelia’s visit to RK5 was a huge pain. I mistakenly sold my corrosive Machine (L51), and couldn’t catch any remotely decent corrosive weapons, despite countless vendor farm runs. It took forever to chip away at him, and frigid touch simply wasn’t able to manage health well enough. Eventually, I used Wilhelm to try to find a solution and pulled a L55 glitch corrosive Rabid Rifle. I used a mule to move it to Aurelia, and promptly whooped RK5 so bad, I almost felt cool again after being ground down at least 6 times earlier.

For good measure, I whooped him again, and had choice words for him.

He’s had about enough.

I flew through Tycho’s Ribs effortlessly, and got ground down by the Sentinel twice before I ran out of time. I wish Aurelia had a passive health regen skill. Even one like ‘Supply and Demand’.

Haven’t played much lately. played some borderlands 1 on ps3 for a minute. got on my Craptrap, now on UVHM. played to the mission “find Pickles” whatever it’s called. started claptastic voyage. got to subconscious. was going through my bank and i don’t have much, as I’ve only played through with Jack on Xbox1 and i used found gear with him. so I ground for a Flakker real quick. didn’t try for parts. used a purple ravager from Iwa, 50 fridgia, torgue pistol, and that sniper from the holodome throughout. smoked Shadow and Eclipse and surprisingly EOS with the Flakker though. he threw an ice Longest Yard which was disappointing cuz i had one a level lower from that thresher. gained a level, grabbed racist hotdog’s mission. took my time walking back, killed everything with a new blue ravager and a glitched spitter i picked up. got to racist hotdog and birthday cat. i always start on three cakes and move up from there. first try, got Shadow. smoked that fool! saved and quit cuz i had to take care of something real quick. bout to go mutator five cakes and up, see how far i can go. if my gear isn’t up for the challenge, i’ll go play house with EclipOS. using Sapper COM. any suggestions for fun COMs for mobbing? haven’t really found one i love or even like, haven’t checked out the holodome one or the vanquisher

I like Madtrap quite a bit for mobbing. Killbot keeps you alive and Death Machine gets you to your next pack of mobs a little bit quicker, and the +Gun Damage is always a nice thing. The -Shield Capacity isn’t too bad since Killbot would keep knocking it down anyways. Of course, using your Sapper to mob isn’t always bad either, especially if it boosts SWAB and you pack an ice weapon.

My last play session was a giant BAR farming session with Willy. Hit level 3 for the skins in Big MIRV, Nice Spray Job, Sharp Shooter, Nova Say Die, and Splat’n’Slide, while knocking out level 5 of Assault With a Deadly Weapon, Crouch Potato (skin!), Sprayowee, Home ‘Nade Cookin’, Collateral Damage, Missile Magnet (skin!), Take It All, Ol’ Skool, Slampage, Ammo Eater (skin!), Amplitude Killulation, Hot Lead Injection, Pancakes for Breakfast, Toxic Takedown, Road Warrior, Punker Buster, Aim to Please, Trigger Happy, Gunslinger (skin!), and Throw Me the Money (skin!).

That means for Willy, I only have Battle Star, Comet Crash, and Death From Above to unlock all the customizations locked behind challenges. That seems pretty doable. Then it’s off to farm some of the stingier baddies for their drops.

Another excellent session this evening. Spent some time clearing up the vanilla game before moving on. Finished off the Tychos Ribs side quests that I’d left out on my first journey through, then picked up the post-Sentinel quests & cleared those too. Could have head shot guardians practically forever for the exp but stopped just after hitting lvl 34. Carried on to Eleseer again & used the quests as a chance to get all the guardian related BAR challenges done before going for the Invincible Sentinel. Turns out it’s not quite invincible, but did put up more of a fight that the original version. Not much in the way of loot sadly, however an on level Torrent did appear in the vendor in Concordia & just about cleared me out buying it.

Only slight disappointment was my apparent inability to get the elementalist achievement. Used the Boomacorn on the more impressive types of Opha & nothing. Well, they died, but no achievement. I suppose it’ll have to be a case of action skill + grenade + slam + weapon or something like that. Fiddly & awkward at any rate. Had hoped that gun would basically do the job for me.
