this turned me off of random play in TPS. same with the original Borderlands. Way to many modded players. I know it happens in bl2 as well. But not as frequent that I’ve noticed. I really am tired of seeing EVERTYHING luneshined. and Blue legendary COM’s. so lame.

A couple of things actually: I have some RealLife™ priorities to attend to, and I’m having some muscle and joint pain in my left hand which using a controller seems to make worse. So, currently limiting play time and hoping things improve.

I am now over the pains I was having. But, I had a time a while back where I think i was gaming too much(if that is even possible). my finger joints were aching and in certain motions, which I attributed to my xbox controller. I took a bit of a break and I feel fine now. so, there may be something to that. carpal tunnel or something…My trigger fingers, and thumbs to be specific. Damn Jakobs cramp.

Oh yes, that’s a bad one. It didn’t help that I jammed my thumb accidentally while working on a project in the shop, and it got pushed back really hard. Some extended BB and Borderlands play time didn’t help…

Yup I used to actually enjoy trying to meet new players through public games, but it’s just not worth it anymore.
“Nah bro, all that’s legit. I farmed this blue Celestial and 30% ignore shield Rosie and Fridgia myself!”
And as someone who has not become fully acclimated with Nisha yet, the Jakobs hands are real.

Got the urge to play on Claptrap, so I ran through the Nexus and Motherlessboard. I realized something mid-way through: you can get a MORQ on every playthrough. I thought that was a one-time deal! Well, that’s a few legendary shields I could’ve grabbed for the grinder. lol
Snuck in a few E&E kills after with Nisha and Athena.

This seems to be extremely buggy though. It appears to depend on either when you check, whether you went to pick up the Heartful Splodger instead, or just sheer luck. Still don’t have it fully figured out, and I lost track of which characters I’ve done what with. I only have one Morq shield, though.

Other than getting tangled up with that super badass mugger at the door (that guy is always a real pain), went pretty smoothly too!

Did another short session with Clappy. I realised that I was level 53, running around with a level 50 shield, which might explain a few things. So, picked up “Nothing is never an option” and went to help Amelia take on Boomer. Got stuck on another ultimate badass mugger HOWEVER on one of my many trips back to the New-U, Boomer flew in to the cave system after me and I was able to take him down. Oh, and what’s that orange loot spike over there?
Nice! I didn’t know Boomer could drop that! Finally got the UB Mugger when I remembered I had a cryo sniper that might as well have been an assault rifle. Actually a lot of fun pulling off crits while flying through the air - Clappy gets some good height on his jumps in low grav.
The other thing I discovered was the screen/logo on the side of a white rarity Maliwan SMG. I don’t think I’ve ever taken this close a look at them before, but I certainly don’t remember seeing this:
Interesting display screen there. E-TECH something or other??? Anyway, the son was hanging around bored, so I switched out so we could do some Borderlands co-op. Good times!

In an effort to postpone BL2 burnout, I returned to Elpis to push ahead with Athena. Following up on discussions of Picking Up The Pieces a couple months back,
Nope. That quest is total 
. Guaranteed death, not worth it for only 5M. If consoles let you survive it by breaking LoS, great, but that does not work on PC. Nor does breaking LoS with the Aspis up. Nor carrying a train of torks chasing you for second winds, because the eye explosion kills them too.
Ignore Quest set for that one, and I’ll never pick it up again on Aurelia or TVHM/UVHM playthroughs.
Onwards to Vorago Solitude. Athena picked up her snick-it uniform, helped Captain Chef again, did all the map challenges, and headed toward the vault. One death because I forgot the lesson learned earlier that using barrels to boost the aspis only works for explosive barrels. 
Then she had to turn tail and run when starting her final assault - leaping in, cryo grenade tossed, aspis activated … and cutscene. 
By the time she could act, the aspis was down to 25% duration, the grenade had worn off, and she was surrounded by enemies. Thanks cutscene, that was super-helpful!
RK5 was pretty straightforward thanks to the same blue Vladof corrosive pistol Jack used to good effect there. Ding 26, hello Maelstrom, I guess I should pay attention to shock and fire damage sources now. 
Conveniently, RK5 dropped pretty decent grenades of both types. I don’t think I have any guns of those elements stored until level 30, but she’ll manage.
As annoying as he is, I don’t recall any of it being fake.
Sorry, few days late. I’m not sure and honestly, I don’t know what the Heartful Splodger is! lol I’ve got at least two from the chest though. (and now that we’re talking about it, I did get one from the grinder as well which was news to me)
Yesterday we got in a good four or five rounds at 9 slices before the game decided we’d had enough. I was on Aurelia as usual and my buddy was on Claptrap. Love that combo.
What’s fake is that he always tacks on the real word the rhyming slang replaces. For example, a real cockney would just say “apple and pears”, not “apple and pears - stairs”. I understand the need to give US players at least some clue, but spelling it out EVERY SINGLE TIME is downright annoying.
I guess I should take some comfort in the fact that at least it’s not Aurelia spouting lengthy bits of exposition, or giving you mission briefings. shudder
