I do this, along with probably most of us, and I find it interesting that I generally end up never using any of the stuff I keep for future characters because I forget I have them until they are essentially useless due to level
One of the elements of this game I love, having a million mules storing gear that I will never use, but never selling any of it either!
For those of you who don’t follow Sun’s Zer0 thread ( of which I’m an active participant ), I’ve had a somewhat amusing night.
Since getting to OP8, I’ve been doing various melee tasks like Craw, Pete, the Peak and Terra. To build up my raids, I start at OP0 and work up OP levels.
A while ago I had finally gotten Terra down to a few minutes at OP0 and moved on to the others. Well, StrikerZidane had started posting what I took to OP0 times, but to be more accurate were actually 72 runs ( UVHM Terra with level 72 gear ). I thought : “dammit, I can beat that!” …and did…with OP8 gear (facepalm ).
uh, oops.
Moral of the story : don’t mess with @StrikerZidane
I hope his/her name references the Jakobs shotgun and Zidane from Final Fantasy IX. I hope. Really.
Even with the setup you have is nothing to sneeze at. As you know, Zer0 is a glass cannon (even w/OP8 gear) and you are perfecting his melee abilities. Still your gameplay is pretty impressive .
Thanks Sun!
Actually I’m very proud of that run. I’m just very embarrassed that I failed to realize that a): Striker was using level 72 gear ; and b): that he wouldn’t use OP8 gear!
As I mentioned above, here is the footage of my mostly successful (and cowardly) Toil and Trouble run.
Ugh. Data Mining is a slog.
- Had to farm Hunter Hellquist for The Bee.
- Ditto Bone Head 2.0 Bone Shredder like 15+ times (and only for the ease of going up vs. Saturn).
- Got some improved Singularities at least.
- Lady Fist joins the squad.
- Not much else beyond that. Shame that Bullwinkle (Saturn) didn’t drop the Invader.
Now to wreck Handsome Jack.
Oh right Ding 31. One skill point that I am not sure where to put it in. Decisions, decisions…
31 is the beautiful skill point that can get a capstone
I’m saying I don’t know whether to Deathmark or Backstab…
Despite Deathmark being weak until combined with Death Bl0ss0m, I’d still get it ( you still get a lot for one point )
Okay, change of plans.
Respec:
Fast Hands Max
C0unter Strike Max
Ambush Max
Deathmark / Unf0rseen 4/5
Innervate Max
Death Bl0ss0m
The Sniping and Bloodshed trees can wait, seems like with Zer0 the Cunning tree is the essential tree to spec into.
Looks good!
You could sub Rising Sh0t for C0unter Strike though. Optional.
That moment when you got Arid Nexus Boneyard and forget about Skrakks face humping you to death because they’re all level 50 and you’re only level 47, plus the RPG Loaders and Ultimate Badass Loaders that spawn in the same place…

It has mostly been a dispute between Rising Sh0t and C0unter Strike for me. I’ll take that into consideration and then respec when I get the chance.
BOOSH.
Warrior is dead, Jack is dead, C0rp0rat0cracy reigns supreme!
Also CONFERENCE CALL, Social Prefix
. Parts aren’t perfect: Jakobs stock and sight, Bandit grip, but I won’t be picky for a shotty that’s not dropped for me often.
Ding 32, Headsh0t acquired.
Getting to the final few levels of my Siren run, now 68. Been getting lots of weird loot drops, totally random. Anyone else getting them?
Been doing the usual farming runs, The Dust, Badlands, Frostburn, and playing the Varkid game hoping for the mighty Verm. Great for XP and eridium.
Had no luck with the Tubbies so far, but just got a CAT with decent stats, so might spec into an SMG build for the next few levels. Been Almost exclusively Leg Siren all the way.
Right, the aforementioned run of the Arid Nexus Boneyard footage, as well as my run through Badlands, are here. Watch me squirm my way through like a newbie. I have basically two decent weapons so it’s either or i’m afraid
I usually get good results in Hallowed Hollow, if you’re wanting a new place to try for them
Well, it was a long battle with the Warrior, but Magda has now finished TVHM. With not particularly ideal (but not bad as such) weapons, and distinctly average ability it seems. It’s like being on a new platform has turned me into a novice again, heh. As always, footage incoming.
Pretty much done with completing challenges. Stats are good enough now.
Antagonist now has +40% shield capacity (+10/5 Myelin). Sham gets the full 67.6% boost.
Bonus gun damage at 400 stacks: +794.3% (+56% Legendary Anarchist).
Bonus reload speed: +95.8% (+9/5 Smaller, Lighter, Faster).
And a Maliwan grip Grog Nozzle now has a 67.5% slag chance
Ok, here’s the footage of the end of my TVHM run
Now to farm a couple of key items to start UVHM with. I say a new Hammer Buster, maybe a Gwen’s Head. Don’t want to level up too much so will limit myself to that for now, and then farm red chests for new Sniders (can you tell I love Sniders?)
Episode 1: The Bullymong Episode
So C0rp0rat0cracy hits the ground running in TVHM - contemplated tackling the Seven Sands for Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty, but decided against it. Killed bullymongs, helped an eyeless cyclops of a Claptrap get to Liar’s Berg, and met his Hunter from another mother, Sir Hammerlock. C0rp0ratocracy, at the behest of Hammerlock, went to clean out Liar’s Berg of these derpy Mongs, got himself a shield for redundancy (having The Bee, he won’t need a better shield for a while), and harvested even more Mongs for fur, for a decent - albeit unnecessary, because remember, Hyperion Allegiance - Jakobs Chinook.
Ding 33, another Headsh0t rank. Also went ahead and traded in C0unter Strike for Rising Sh0t. Landed a new class mod to replace the Sure Shot one I had, a Comtemptible Killer (green-rarity, +3 Ambush).
Have formulated a plan for skill point investments in TVHM:
Finish Headsh0t (31-36)
Spec Killer (37-41)
Spec B0re (42)
Spec Killing Bl0w (43-47)
Spec Grim (48-52)
Spec Execute (53)
