Well… I remember @Handsome_Dad making the second one and saying that he didn’t think we’d ever need a second one. Here we are with a third!
What did you do in your most recent session, PT2!
Looking for Orphan Maker for Deputy Sal build
edit - forgot to credit the pic : @nat_zero_six as part of the Ninja Co-op Time Trials.
Hyperion will need a 7% tithe though.
Four Zer0s… Better than Triple O!
Badass. would like to throw this back in.
So to get this party started:
From my playthrough earlier to get an explosion for the prior thread, I find (or rather, inconveniently forgot) that Jackenstein has rocket launcher repellent. When his capacitors are damaged and throwing the zap, rockets can’t reach him:
He can also reflect rockets (that rocket in the low center of the screenshot is a shot from my Creamer on its way back to me).
Maliwan Mechromancer ran wave 5 of the Hyperion Slaughter. I wanted to crush it, so I packed a Grog Nozzle, Bad Touch, corrosive Pimpernel, Hive, Impaler, corrosive O-Negative, and corrosive Bone.
With Evil Enchantress on deck, Grog Nozzle in hand slagging enemies, Blood Soaked Shields and Unstoppable Force, I let those waves of PWR Loaders beat themselves to death on me. It’s not quite something you can leave alone… even suited up like this, they can overwhelm you. The rest of the time I was still scrambling for my life.
Farmed Dukino’s mom tonight, actually kind of farmed her. Fell asleep at the controller and did a save/quit by mistake after the third kill. No Mongol this time.
Worked the turn in and got a Tumtum Buffalo with Jacobs grip. Tried it out on the locals. Hmmm, no scope takes some getting used to.
Went back to Sanctuary to check out the Bad Touch glitch. The first one she offered was perfect, Maliwan parts. Was hard to walk away and fast travel, but I kept the faith and did it. The little beauty was there hovering over the bar when I returned. Tried it a couple more times and then fell asleep at the controller AGAIN! and took the gun from her. Decided then to see if it worked for the Good Touch. It does.
Sif’s now at level 35 and will be starting on the Firehawk tomorrow.
It’s an awkward level. You can have some of everything, but really there are no “sweet level 35 builds”. I’m tempted to do a SS build, but I’ve done that so many times.
So I went straight to Ruin :
It’s pretty wicked despite not having Converge. Helios and Ruin’s AoE take out a everything in its vicinity - note the lack of Cloud Kill. Totally unnecessary. She’s using a Tediore shield at the moment which works well with Backdraft but the lack of shield skills is a bit jarring ; and I’m used to Kinetic Reflection’s help too.
Maybe I’ll do a Scorn build tomorrow ; or maybe a different tree for each mission? Why not?
Need more COMs though - the game has not been generous with these. At least I finally got a cooldown relic (the only one I’ve seen in the game oddly. I’ve seen all kinds of weird allegiance relics).
Got to level 71. All that stands between me and the level cap now is roughly 400k exp. I’ve mostly been mobbing to get it. Been using this extra “Just killing stuff to get exp” time to finish exploring maps I haven’t explored fully to nab achievements, hoping I get amazing new guns to tide me over until 72(Mostly didn’t happen).
I’ve vendored every single gun and grenade mod that was level 68 as they’re too old now, so for the rest of the foreseeable night I’ll be attempting to vendor dive and get some level 71 stuff for the final push. It’s started off very well, I got a nice level 71 Corrosive Vladof Assault Rifle. Since UVHM, I’ve learned that Corrosive is VERY important. With any luck I’ll have an updated kit before long and can make the final push before the real game starts. This time I’m not broke though, so that’s a plus. Sitting on about 41 million, so that should be enough to fund a new load out sufficiently.
While I’m thinking about it, I’ve discovered that 9/4 Smaller, Lighter, Faster has basically made it so that as long as the gun is not a Bandit gun, it’s reload speed stat is not worth taking into consideration of a gun’s worth. Reloads are almost instant. That +54% Reload Speed is insane. It’s going to spoil me so much. I’m going to play another character at some point and be all “WHY DOES THIS GUN RELOAD SO SLOWLY!?!?! IT’S NOT A BANDIT!!!”
To be fair, all of the other Vault Hunters have skills for reload speed too, one way or another, so it may not be that bad
Rhoysonton and Grayson (Torgue-mando) ran through the WEP in TVHM. Nothing significant dropped, but it was easy with those two. I wasn’t afraid of rabids. Phase lock and a point blank purple Torgue shotgun blast tended to do the trick.
One of my favorite things is watching Zer0 reload his guns. Especially Jakob’s snipers and the Slagga when he’s in “fast reload mode”
I wish I had taken a screenshot of the first attempt by me and 2 other Maya’s to run the Peak, and we all died within seconds of each other, right next to each other, to none other than (you guessed it!) Dukino’s mom’s shock ball attack. It was great. 3 dying Maya’s in a digistruct mass grave. We were all just laughing.
I find myself bored of farming for nothing in particular, so I think it’s time for Magda to do the Creature Slaughter!
Twinked some improved shock and corrosive gear to Kriegtopher to help with the whole “Piston’s over inflated gas bag followed by metal dinosaur” routine. Underleveled shock Lyuda and corrosive B!tch for the blimp deflation, followed by fast balls/Kerblaster/SWORDSPLOSION!!!/RtB Axe chucks from behind the barrier for the postmodern prehistoric nightmare. A couple of failed attempts at Bloodsploding Pete, but that’s all I have time for today. Woo hoo!!!
Almost forgot, 3 Maliwan barrels in 1 BNK3R Bore. The Green is from the chest under the waterfall, but the weisenheimer and the provocateur came from BNK3R’s 'splosion, and all 3 with melee accessories, and in each of the colors. Squad goals.
Round one went smoothly, as you might imagine. I got one tubby who dropped an OP7 Storm and Legendary Cat COM.
Here’s the run of round 1.
Round 2 was surprisingly tricky. I’m not massively experienced at fighting the SBA/UBA Varkids, so wasn’t quite prepared for it. Still succeeded though, ended up beehawking for the last bit of UBA health.
Been playing non-Jakobs Zer0 and going to resume the Peak with him soon. He’s taken a liking to rocket launchers. Luckily found a thunderball fist which is awesome w/ the transformer for free rocket ammo. Good idea to take off the shock bone first otherwise I get sizzled.
Sent Deputy Sal to farm baddabooms for Zer0. So far every single one has been under leveled(like 6 of them) and all non-elemental. Would really prefer a corrosive.
A mule had a corrosive and shock Topnea so he is going with those for now. Launchers are a pretty new thing for me, but they can be pretty fun. Really only gonna use them as a safety net against the Assassins in the peak.
Round 3 was easier than 2, simply because there were no Varkids. Anyhow, here’s the Round 2 run. Will post the Round 3 one when it’s finished uploading.
Edit: Here’s round 3
And here’s round 4
I just finished Round 5, was really easy until the Pyre Thresher
Here’s round 5
You do know Magic Slaughter is the only Slaughter dome that can be repeated w/o resetting the game, right?
