I found the Handsome Sorceror to be far more difficult than the four kings. I died once on the kings to something stupid, but JackSorc’s fire phase murdered me something fierce. I finally managed to cheese the fight by killing the floating dragon from the respawn point, but I haven’t been back.

To be fair, I didn’t farm any specific gear until I’d made it to OP2, so I didn’t have the luxury of “oh yeah, everybody knows you need to bring <legendary X> to a fight with that guy”. And, of course, there’s a difference between classes (I’ve only done UVHM or Dragon Keep on siren). The four kings took quite a while, but I just ran around kiting things for like 15 or 20 minutes until everything was dead.

(The stupid kill was when I kited, and kited, and then realized I’d caught up to the boss because I kited too far. Then he realized it, turned around, smacked me, and there was just a skeleton sword dude to second wind off of.)

Anyhow, I guess my point is that it might be a case of different playstyles or something, since I didn’t find Four Kings particularly hard on UVHM without special gear even though it was the first time I saw that fight and I’d deliberately avoided spoilers since I didn’t get around to playing that expansion until last year. And nobody else even mentioned JackSorc in their top three.

FYI, you can just shoot a stalker pile, rakk, or one of the humans, and that puts Cloud Kill on cooldown so you can disable the loaders. Also works for getting dwarves drunk if you’re quick enough.

Charlie Zerker Xbox
One more little round for the evening.
Need to get to lvl 24 to do the Bunker, so off to do the Clan Wars this time.
I like the substance of Clan Wars, but I don’t like the travel time, it’s almost as bad a Knoxx in BL1. And the threading of quests leaves something to be desired, I often forget where to go next once I’ve finished a segment.
All that aside, Charlie did fine. And he parked his truck just right on the racetrack bridge to block the lead car so everyone could get blown to bits at once, which is always nice. All done, no Maggie drop but that’s OK.
Off to Thousand cuts to climb to the bunker.
At the entry one fo the JET loaders hit him hard, down to 25 health. Ran far away and healed up, but that was the only challenge.
The upper gate was easier than usual cuz he spammed 5 Storm Fronts and everyone just sizzled to death, no shots fired.
And up and away. Passed the gate to the Bunker, and save/quit, will deal with that tomorrow.

Harold wins the 4 Kings every time.

Oh right. The Topic.

The game seems determined to keep Krieg in Mania. He’s at level 26 now and hasn’t seen a single decent Torch or Toast COM - but is swimming in Sickles. Also - just got the Law and Order, so clearly I’m crackin’ skulls.

Interesting. For me the (typical) 2 WAR loaders and one Ultimate Badass, plus the occasional RPG loader right before that one are more dangerous.

For the Constructor at the end of Hero’s;
Kill all the other guys from the upper level, do NOT go down the stairs.
When they’re gone, move to the right and stand behind the low wall.
When the Baddass constructor shows up snipe it from there. May take some time, but the low wall will block it’s missiles, you can stand up there sniping unharmed for however long it takes.

Thanks for the info. Is there going to be a rocket launcher in my future or will it primarily be pistols/sniper rifles and shotguns?

Who knows what the future may bring? Gotta love Tops though.

The great thing about using dual Jakobs is that their crit bonuses multiply with Sal. Also, dual Maggies is extremely powerful. I’ve got a build on the forum if you end up pursuing it.

Lyterra Siren Steam 1Life TVHM
Lyterra starts her pathway through TVHM. As typical with 1lifers, she will be doing the bare minimum of sides in T and UVHM.
Started off fine, she was able to pick up a lvl 30 Hornet from knucklehead [sic], she used that to blast Big Bertha into submission.
She had a trusty Lyuda in her hand for Boom & Bewm, and no worries there. No Bonus package, but she’s carrying a Storm front so rather use that anyway.
She chose to phase lock Flynt before he jumped off his perch, took him down to 1/4 of his health before he hit the deck, waited for colldown, and did it again. No Fists from him, which is alway a little sad since I do like that gun.
Off to 3 Horns. Tossed 9 Stormfronts over the wall into Fishguts camp to soften everyone up, they sizzled while she checked the Catch-a-ride. All cleaned up.
Over to get the power core. In T/UVHM she does not try and kill 20 bandits, her goal is to stir things up until the psycho carrying the core runs up the hill to her and she can blast him, pick up the core, and get out of there before she takes a single bullet for the other folks.
In to Sanctuary, triggered all the cut scenes to get them to go away.
Marcus’s gun testing took her to lvl 34, ready for Frostburn, the first real test in the story. Tomorrow.

Thanks for the link. When I get further down the rabbit hole on him, I will have to check it out.

My Gaige was able to beat OP5 solo with 72’s gear. Not so bad, but OP6 will be a nightmare now.
Unfortunately OMGWTH didn’t drop anything

I’ve done this exact same thing- as a matter of fact, I think I have a post to that effect somewhere much earlier in this thread. Nice to see I’m not the only one whoe’s come to this solution…

was farming for Vermi last night. didn’t put much time on it.

I was having cracked Sash night it would seem.

The good thing about farming Vermi is the amount of Tubby’s that appear. I ended up with a matching grip Dastardly Unforgiven the other night. OP7 and that horrendous Tediore sight.

got a Lobbed Bonus Package first try, without trying last night

Lyterra Siren Steam 1Life TVHM
Now she goes to Frostburn Canyon for the first real test in TVHM.
Getting to the Firehawk lair was straightforward. Now this fight…
First wave was fine, the armored psychos died to her Hellfire pretty easily. And the closing Badass was a piece 'o cake.
Second wave started off interestingly, with a Badass spawning right at the beginning, so kinda had to use phase lock earlier than she had planned. But dead.
The rest of the baddies went bye-bye easily.
Now the two Badasses at the end. Each platform got 2 Storm fronts to soften them up. The left-side one died, but left her low on health. The right side one charged, and a fraction of a second before her phase lock hit him, his buzzaxe hit her. FFYL.
Fortunately there was nothing between her and the BA, and even more fortunately Lilith did not steal the kill. Hellfire took it out with a full 1/4 left on the FFYL timer.
Whew. Back to Sanctuary for a rest, and I have to go do some actual work, so all for now.

Decided to go farming some missing Maya skins/heads, specifically those from Terramorphous and Vermivorous. Taking my lvl 72 Maya against normal mode Terramorphous and TVHM Voracidous to speed up the process.

Killed Terramorphous about 40 times and all I got was the skin for Gaige and Axton. Why must they be rare drops from a raid boss. Seriously? On the upside, I earned 500 eridium and one-crit killing Terramorphous is kinda funny.

Vermivorous… it’s a pain to even spawn him. In a few hours I managed to spawn an ultimate badass varkid three times, then lured it to bandits to do its thing and… it doesn’t attack them. It just floats there stationary doing nothing, just waiting to be killed. Oh ffs come on.

I’ve got a feeling I’ll just not bother anymore getting those items.

Yep, there are some things I just won’t ever get. The Blockhead, for example, I am not spending that much time being destroyed by Crystalisks and hammering through that silly wall and the hoping it will drop from a badass creeper that might appear.
Of course, I’ve never gotten a Norfleet yet either after 4 years, but oh well. Can say I’ve had two Cobras drop so I’m ahead there

Actually the BA Creeper will always appear but yeah, not so much the Blockhead though. Gotta say I’ve gotten lucky and got a few while doing some of the side quest in Caustic Caverns…

The Blockhead is a lot of fun and very effective. I think it’s worth the time to farm one.

Just chipping in the love for the Blockhead. The Omen, however, is for all intents and purposes the same. Same damage, same splash. All depends on your willingness to fight the Dragons for it.

Only have killed the Dragons once, in NVHM with an Axton, I should go back in there with one of my OP Mayas and see how I do.

I also love me a Blockhead.

I’ve never had an Omen, but I definitely want one. Do the “pellets” bounce? One of my favorite bits about the Blockhead is bouncing the blocks off of the ground in front of enemies. It feels like I get more blocks on target that way. I could be imagining it, but it shreds spiderants of the larger varieties with a good bounce.
