I’ve seen lots of Skullmashers too. And lots of Volcanoes and Invaders, a couple of Lyudas too. And a couple of Molokos that I’ve been wanting forever for my Vladof-Hoarder Sal.

Those chests are kinda like an amped-up version of the loot train with their designated types of gear to be found. (And Hader is actually a quicker farm than the snowman with the proper cheese setup heh.)

I’ve picked up one Skullmasher from Uranus so far. Again, except fo a few special weapons Hader and Uranus seem to share the same huge world-drop pool.
Though Uranus has the subsequent issue of dropping gear below your level, which can be annoying. I get a feel for that when I drop down into the corridor (down the elevator shaft) and open the red chest there, that seems to indicate the level of weapons you’ll be getting in a minute or two.
Uranus vs. 2.5 amp damage Bee and 1.5 damage Lyuda? Very quick carnage!

I dropped my 67 Gaige down to Normal mode to start farming for head/skins, and haven’t had any luck yet.

I decided to do some more work in the new DLC, and got my 73 Maya to clean up the rest of the side missions up until Shooting The Moon. I knew I was done for the night when I kept falling off bridges for no apparent reason. So far, I am enjoying the new content except that I never knew the outcome of the Tales of the Borderlands game, so I’ve had a couple WTF moments b/c of it.

I didn’t know it either, so I searched out a few sites that had rather complete summaries of what happened in Tales and that helped. I’d strongly recommend that you do so before BL3 comes out since we’ve already seen Tales elements in the bits of BL3 we’ve already seen.
I’d post links, but I didn’t keep track of 'em, but a search on “Tales from the borderlands plot summaries” is what got me the info.

if you are into episodic point and click adventures, I suggest you should try the tales, there is more to it than the summary itself, there are a lot of decisions and choices that affect your gameplay.

I am Team Fiona btw. Anybody for Sasha?

Not really an item find since it’s a mission reward, but I decided to finally get this thing -

Reverend Pain finished the new dlc but left a few open missions until he hits the new level cap or OP10. He’s about to storm Bunker Hill in his OP8 (now level 75) reset. Should finish off the main story in a day or two but have already noticed that the former OP8 RR is getting dinged a lot harder nw than before- the Sir Hammerlock dlc will be one of his first stops at endgame…

Should have more time than previously anticipated to play this week-end and I have monday off for La Saint-Jean Baptiste. (Québec’s national holiday.)

Farmed my (Retsam, Commando) UnicornSplosion and finally got fore grip with matching grip. Then remembered Amulets had level and a “friendship stat”. Mine was only +6 and I’m wondering if it change anything… Anyone tested it?
Went to get a +7 and stopped by the Mage room. Both Fire Storm and Chain Lightning drop in one run! Yeah! Then overwrite the file… DOH! :man_facepalming:
Bit overwhelmed by all the farming I still have to do on my “easy farm” character. At least I now have all basic gears covered. With a UnicornSplosion instead of the SwordSplosion as I don’t have Sword in Stoner available and still using my old (lvl 80) Slagga.

Looking at the other 5 VH… Krieg is now officially out of the roster. Thinking of “dumbing down” my Siren to OP2 to be on level with Zero and Mechromancer.

Mechromancer… When i think I’ll have to get another Twister… :confounded:

Speed ran Salvester through the TTAODK DLC in normal (melee to kill Warlord orcs FTW) to get that most excellent piece of gear, the Friendship Amulet. Then gave that, and the Chain Lightning and lvl 35 Bee he got on the way to Gaige&Purge so she could grab a Unicornsplosion (foregrip on the first feed, no need for dashboarding). Did that and stopped for the day. It was an hour and a half out of my life that I’m not screaming to get back, although I probably should.

Have you fired this yet?

… it’s a little OP.

Finished up Lynchwood, then did Opportunity and the B3knr run. Currently in Eridium Blight doing what side missions I can before I head into Sawtooth Cauldron. Only notable drop was a Blue Binder COM with +6 Reaper and +5 Suspension, so I’m giving Slif_One’s SS build a try. Honestly thinking about using their skill build with a L. Cat, as I definitely noticed the drop in damage switching away from my +85% SMG damage, +5 Wreck Scheming Cat COM.

BoostedMaya Siren PS4 1Life
Decided to start a Boosted Maya for a new 1life run on PS4.
Insert obligatory complaining about the lousy initial load out here.
Did what is becoming standard for Boosted’s, went to the Dust to complete Good Bad Mordy for a chance to farm some good gear.
Got a good slag Pooshka and a corrosive bandit pistol in the Bandit camp, which is enough to do the Hyperion Friendship Gulag. Did that with little effort, then Gettle and Mobley.
Farmed those two about 14 times, got 2 shock lyudas and one non-elemental. Not the corrosive I wanted, but fine. No Veruc, which I wanted for the Jack fight, but picked up a OK hyperion shock SMG which should do the trick.
Off to the Eridium Blight. Gate fight was pain free, and the travels through Hero’s Pass same thing, no worries.
The Jack fight went a lot better than I expected, a corrosive transfusion grenade took out the decoys and the SMG with an 85% Cat comm (no skill points) I found took Jack himself out really really fast, surprised me.
Turned and ran to my hiding place, and killed the Warrior. Took a while, like 5 emerges, but OK.
Of course, I was a little too aggressive and his last fire breath DOTted me into FFYL, arg. Corrosive bandit pistol to a Rakk for the revive. NO legendaries, she killed him one more time and no legendaries again.
Back to Sanctuary, and she earned her permanent name and clothing, she’s now Lilac with Vladoff suit and Admiral Asskick head.
Off to TVHM.

Dahl Commando trying out the Toothpick on some pre-DLC missions. Thing is overpowered AF. I tapped in a pair of pixies to help (speed and ammo buffs with one on offense - this is my co op).

That’s a slag bouncing betty… got 'em cornered tight.

Got one of my Zer0s to op10. Now it’s time to farm. Luckily my op10 Sal has been collecting stuff and putting it in the “loot bank” . Zer0 had a perfect Amigo waiting for him.

Next item we wanted at max level was the Maggie. 13 under leveled non-matching grips later we settled on a Bowie w/ matching grip. This is fine because this Zer0, while not really melee, does execute Killing Blows quite often. Bladed weapons are welcomed.

Next went after the Hot Mama. After 3 runs got one but with a Jakob’s stock. It’s a fun and challenging farm so will probably go for another soon. Even with the Jakob’s stock the recoil isn’t really bad compared to other Jakob’s snipers.

Next farm is/was a new set of pimpernels. First keeper we got was a matching grip Slag banbury with Dahl stock. Perfect. For the others the only requisite is they have (right now) is matching grip and non-Jakobs stock. So far we’ve gotten corrosive and shock, both Fashionable. I’ll keep this farm open as I would really like a full set of Banbury/Barking.

To say the least. When I first got it I was expecting a Trespasser with a little better stats. Then I compared it to an Elephant gun of the same level and it did more damage and isn’t bolt action and has a scope…whoa. This thing has made every other Jakobs sniper obsolete. I’ll probably still farm a new Elephant gun since it is so fun to use.

Well I finally ventured to the Peak and I picked the carrot before I was told not to. Lesson learnt.

Took me a couple of tries to get the flow of the peak and once I did I promptly beat it three times. I am now on OP3, so yeah me.

I have been switching back and forth between L. Binder and L. Siren coms. I am still getting the hang of the L. Binder. I am also trying to decide how many points in Suspend do I like.

At this point I am going to try to get some OP3 gear I think.

Re-gearing is the most underrated activity in the game, everyone should try it. /s

First in the fun-train is (mostly) sniper Zer0. But in this case it went surprisingly well…

No sane sniper Zer0 would run around without a bouquet of Pimpernels, so I got 4 of those, all of them Barking (only the fire one with the Jacobs grip, the rest is Maliwan):

Pimpernel

If you didn’t know, the chance of getting the Torgue-gripped DPUH from the Torgue vending machine is stupendously low, I didn’t even plan to get it during the session (which was quite long, but nonetheless), let alone after a dozen runs. So I had to blink a few times just to be sure:

DPUH

Almost the perfect Antagonist (one part off) and an elemental The Bee:

However, the Antagonist can be quite annoying on ADSing Zer0, because the slag orbs try to hit the target’s crit. spot, which is awesome, but they also block bullets, which is less awesome (especially when you’re running CA stacks). I need the Blockade.

But first I need Lyudas. Matching grip Lyudas. And this is where and when my previously high-spirits plummeted. With many guns the difference is marginal, but not with Lyudas. You need to have the Vladof grip, before anything else, and you need not to have the Jacobs stock. Quite a tedious enterprise.

Or is it…?

Well, that’s unexpected:

Son of the… Crawmerax… I knew something like that will happen. This ride just can’t be smooth, eh?

Never mind, it will work, I guess…

To the drago… You know what, I’m tired of tedious farming, let’s have some fun with Haderax.

I don’t know what’s happening and I don’t want to know. It could mean a puppy dies each time. Better not to ask any questions.

To the dragons!

That’ll do, for now:

And the perfect fire Stinger as a bonus:

Reverend Pain finished off the Warrior and dinged level 79. Dashboard farmed a decent corrosive CC and am about to start the Tiny Tina and Sir Hammerlock dlc’s to get the GN and RR respectively so that OP9-OP10 can be reached…

Since I have about destroyed the game normally and hate Overpower levels.

I restarted this time using the Borderlands Classic Mode (Which has the UCP built in) and the Class Mod Redux so you can get legendary spawns of all the class mods and raised the level cap to 90. Starting on this one.

Trying with Krieg but also debating on a Gaige as well since I wanted to try a shock build that didn’t rely on Anarchy and now they have legendary mods that match that.

Tested, makes no difference.

I have, and I was very underwhelmed. I think it’s been overhyped, don’t get me wrong it’s good but it’s not great. I find Sniders and Droogs to be more effective.

This pleases me

Now that thing is actually nuts. Good for more than just positioning in the Hade arena. Second best AR in the game behind the Bekah IMO. It’s basically a Sandhawk in AR form.

A few pics of things I’d never noticed before…

Either that’s a rabbit or someone named Wart…

Never noticed the moon before- at least not in Sawtooth Cauldron…

Pandoran cave art- or the next Vault Monster?

What Moxxi serves you during the Clan War mission I believe…
