I’ve been taking Amara through TVHM as I start branching out to other characters finally. It scares me how good she is compared to Moze. She’s a bit of a glass cannon at times, but even not using a meta build (I’m using an Elementalist COM and taking advantage of Wildfire and Conflux with a Recurring Hex to spread massive Dots everywhere for the Harmageddon Buff, Phasegrasp plus Ties That Bind = great for mobbing), I tear through everything. And as long as there’s an enemy to shoot, I’m being healed constantly thanks to just 2 points in Sustain.
Debating taking the 6 points I have in her speed skills and moving them to her middle tree, though I do enjoy when a DoT gets me running extremely fast.

Cistern of Slaughter…What Cistern of Slaughter? Beat it in under 17:30 on M4… Looking forward to Mayhem 2.0!
Torgue Moze ran the Survival Proving Grounds to try out her new alien barrel AR. Other than hopping into Iron Bear to handle armored enemies, she cooked her way through with just this.
edit - Then she had a go at the Instinct Proving Grounds to take the Tiggs Boom for a real spin (I’d only ever used it situationally). That’s fun! Hammering dinos repeatedly and calling down tons of meteor showers was quite satisfying.

Slaughter Shaft… The CoV didn’t send their Eridium tier this time… Finished in just under 18:10 in M4. The Clairvoyance is one of the best AR’s in the game.

Worked our way through til near the end of the Hammerlock DLC.
Some interesting things;
Dahl defense turrets in Negul Neshai can (for almost all of them) be killed at long range without them activating, kinda like the turrets leading up to Krom’s Canyon in BL1. Stay away and snipe, and be safe. Also, at the first place you find turrets an Ascendant Kehl Vod also spawns in the passageway, and if you shoot him from long distance he just sits there, easy kill, no danger.
The Empowered whatever that is the final battle in the ship was as annoying as ever. The red blob stuff he shoots at you when he’s invulnerable cannot be avoided, dang it. You can break line of sight, have a wall (or two) between you, and you still get hit. Dumb.
But persistence and once again, the Lob, took him down.
Next stop, the final battle.
But, want to level up a little bit so went back into main story to do more of Eden-6, the Rogue Sight mission first.
And of course @ farsight37 was correct, you do not have to look through the sight to pick up the triggers.
If you know the map well enough (and having done this mission 14 times now I do) you just kinda spray where you know the marks are and they open up. Too bad this character doesn’t have a on-level Anarchy right now.
BTW, did you know Killing a defense turret in the Family Jewel is recorded as a Tink turret for the appropriate achievement? Well it is.
Did find a higher level Insider, continuing my current renewed interest in Shotguns, a nice radiation one, and that’s been wrecking things on Eden-6.
GeneVIVI fell in her first phase from the rad Insider, pretty cool, she didn’t have any minions spawn or put up the green force fields.
Also ran into Amber Lamps in the Jewel, so he can show up wherever robots may be.
Did all the rest up to Graveward, I want a better weapon for that so I’m hunting around.
Xbox
Didn’t do much, going to go spend an hour on that right now…

As FL4K, I like to Dominate them first, so they start firing on the enemies. Need to make sure they’re out of that little cubby and in range though.
Torgue Moze just finished running each of the Proving Grounds. Fervor was rough with Anointed enemies (nine or so across the whole thing)… saved Iron Bear for dealing with them.
Finished up the rest of the side missions to get the ultimate vault hunter trophy. Rarely try to platinum games, but this quarantine has really free’d up the time:)
Xbox 1Life Zane
On he goes with this restart.
First section on Promethea was simple, just have to not be overly aggressive to get through Gigamind with no issues. Gig didn’t drop anything, but now I can equip class mods.
Then over to the Hammerlock DLC, got to the Lodge without any effort.
Speaking of which, why does the Place 99 balloons stop after you’ve placed 20? Thought it would be like many of the do lots of trivial stuff missions that pop up every now and again, but I guess the designers said Hehe, if they do 20 that’s enough. Maybe the programmers just wanted to see if they could put 99 quest markers in one map without the code blowing up.
Went on through the Dustbound archives, with a number of FFYLs, no death. Those danged ascendant skrits and the floating eyeballs are not fun.
But don’t want to to the Empowered Scholar just yet, so left that area just before getting to that point (the mission marker is still saying Survive Ambush while he’s standing around in Sanctuary ).
Off to Athenas.
Speaking of sniping, you can also take out Chucklehead (Chupachbratch, whatever) from outside of his mini-arena with no threat to your safety. Particularly if you’re fortunate like me and Atlas just mailed you an on-level purple Q-system .
Actually ran through the 3 zones leading up to Traunt since he had pinged lvl 18 against the badass ratch hive and straight to Traunt. He dispatched Traunt with a Night Hawkin, not as quickly as usual, Traunt got off some fire orbs, but quickly enough.
And all for this evening. Figure on the Empowered Scholar first thing tomorrow.

Can you explain how that gun is made for Click Click exactly? It has a small mag size which means the bonus from Click Click is scaled way down which means less damage. That gun also chews through ammo so I would imagine it’s hard to maintain the mag without reloading (though I haven’ tested it personally with Moze ammo regen). Just curious why you think it’s made for Click Click?
So I have collected 10 It’s Piss. All on M4. How many where anointed?
Zero. Pretty ridiculous.
So I have never beaten Wotan. I turned off Mayhem and beat him twice with Moze/Ragin Bear. Not a huge accomplishment but I am still happy to have accomplished this.
It also gives me a better feeling for what the full fight is like. I now realize that I was getting stuck at the point where he gets a full shield around him. Not sure how I was able to punch through it with Iron Bear. I tried to go up the air/elevator thing that is in the corners, but I was unable to with Iron Bear active. Is that possible to do? Not sure how I would punch through that shield on higher Mayhem mode if I am in Iron Bear.
I have a Kyb’s worth with an anonintment and a plain redistributor for my troubles.
I spent five hours farming for a, Its Piss grenade yesterday on mayhem4 to be rewarded with six total, and yeah you guessed it none of them anointed, most of the other world drops were equally garbage too. I bloody hate farming in this game it is nothing but a tedious, frustrating wind up. I wouldnt mind the grind so much if we were actually rewarded for time and effort I still love the game though!!

That’s always been the MO of Borderlands… I can’t count how many times I fought Crawmerax just to be disappointed when no Pearls fell… It can be frustrating.
When he’s got the full (double) shield, the inner shield has a rotating gap. You can walk through the outer shield, but don’t play with the inner one (plus it’s rough in there, as if he starts shooting at you, you’re at point blank range with no cover). It’s up to the various vault hunter skills how to work around that. When I’m Moze (and I’m not using one of the uber builds where I can tank/kill him in a few seconds before he starts shooting), I’ll hop on the nearest tower where I’m blocked from his weapons fire. When I see the gap in the inner shield coming around, I’ll run and jump into the space between shields, timing it so the the gap is in front of me, hopping into Iron Bear on the way down. I’l get off as many shots as I can through the gap, then retreat back to the tower and repeat. It’s slow, but it works.
It’s still a huge accomplishment - that fight has a lot of weird nuances, and it’s meant to be hard, so get on with your bad self. That it can be cheesed with insane builds doesn’t mean it’s easy for a solo Vault Hunter with normal gear.
On topic: Maliwan Amara went through the Impound Deluxe with all shock weapons (well, all set to shock mode) to see what that was like (Hellshock, Nothingness, ASMD, and Crit (which was risky AF in there)). I find it quite difficult to gauge the distance the ASMD orbs are to the target for the enhanced explosion, but it’s very satisfying when I pull it off. I also find that repeated shots with the sniper mode can turn enemies into serious ragdolls.

And he finished the Hammerlock DLC this morning.
First, does Gaige get stuck a lot for y’all? I have to save/quit/rejoin about 3 times from when I first meet her in Cursehaven 'til we’re ready to enter Hearts Desire. Objective is Follow Gaige and she just stands there. Irritating.
Was very cautious on the run through Hearts, many Skrit and sniper malochs that can kill you dead. All good though.
Final fight took longer than usual, didn’t have a trust Anarchy so relied on the Insider and the Q-System. Never took much damage, just took a lot of time to build up damage.
And wowie! he picked up a Monocle for beating them. Yuuuk. Ended at lvl 31.
Heading back to the main story and Graveward, so I can finally use a danged artifact, want to try the Lunacy art., and of course the Pearl.

Finished a 2nd set of vault hunters (gun builds) 8 playthroughs in the main game on normal and true, level them from 1 to 57 (thanks to the slots and tinks for the gears).
Then i just finished dlc1 and 2 with Amara TTB build (i miss bl2 maya). Will run sntl/barrier zane next.
Tried the in game match maker in search to find someone willing to try out some harder proving grounds, that was useless. So went to some forums to look for a group ( same technique I use to use in destiny, worked like a charm ). Ended up finding a discord server, ran into a guy on there that ended up being pretty cool. We did a run of the first large dungeon on mayhem 1. he melted everything while I repeatedly died (My pet was the true MVP with the revives). After that we ran into another guy asking for a pl, this is where I was introduced to the Slaughterhouse… Did about an hour of it and it was pretty legit. Watching him melt everything gave me a realization that I have alot to learn. He offered to help with my current build, but I figured that would just take the fun out of it, so I politely declined. This morning I woke up and started remaking my build ( My first was legit just the green tree, no wonder I have been getting wrecked on my other char going through story mode). After my rebuild, I was running Mayhem 3 proving grounds without a problem. Progress lol
Because it has a chance to not consume ammo, which means you can be at low mag for longer. I’m not really optimizing for mag size, and mine has 17 shots (on paper), and if I land crits then it maintains pretty well at the sweetspot. Yes, the ammo consumption is high on most characters, but it’s not an issue with Bottomless Mags, even without Forge.
Do you remember Money Shot from BL2? https://youtu.be/52Yl0EJ52vs
Click Click has the same synergy but not broken.
EDIT: I’m wrong, the actual effect is “has a chance to refill the magazine by a random amount when fired”. The money shot chains Sal could do were from his Inconceivable skill. Nevertheless, the Butcher’s ability ends up having a similar effect as described above, extending your mag and letting you edge yourself for longer.
There’s also a Dahl AR with a 30% chance to not consume ammo, I forget its name, although that isn’t as strong.
CoV FL4K went to the Maliwan Circle of Slaughter and had a blast. The last time I went there, I got hammered and barely got out alive… way easier with a full set of skills at one’s disposal and great gear. I primarily used a Zheitsev’s Eruption (cryo), and fell back on a Seikskil (corrosive) when I ran out of ammo (including opening all the containers in the house, and yes I refilled after every round). I was also using the new Tr4iner COM and otherwise manually Dominating everywhere… like there were so many allies runnning around, I’d have to check them for health bars, because that little domination aura is easy to miss in a fight.
I love how the drop pod just sort of smashed through the dreadnought onto the combat deck.
