What did you do in your most recent session

@VaultHunter101 Don’t know if you have an update for your burning Stamp skin. I noticed after the last hotfix mine unlocked for two more VH. Except my main, Zane, which I didn’t touch much lately. I changed his skin. Quit & reloaded and it was there.

Since last week. Schmooze killed her second Vault monster and made it to 30. Amara killed her first and made it to 20. Yesterday. IG-88 who finished the story at 38 did it’s trek to 45. Had some trouble finding the right gear. Started on MM 2… It worked, but kinda slow. Got defeated in the Cistern of Slaughter so switched to MM 1 and sticked to completing “unrewarded” side quest and crew challenges. Having a lot of fun with a Vladof AR with bipods. Chaining crits at range like crazy.

(Not the weapon shown.)

Back to Schmooze. At the Carnivora entrance. Once again juggling with gears. Need to find more Torgues and I carry mostly Jackobs… Did eventually settle on. Had some trouble with the Agonizer 9000 but we prevailed!

That Gunner was almost a Goner!
Now she’s parked in the middle of Konrad’s Hold. At the slaughter Shaft. Just visiting.
I’m ready to blow (go)!

The revolution is supposed to be, it’s referenced in BL2 and TPS in a few places. I guess with Marcus it’s a case of “I’m not quite dead yet!” but the other strangeness is that MINAC smashes the Fyrestone motel, but in BL2 it’s fully intact (I guess the remaining Fyrestone residents decided to rebuild the hotel back to how it was exactly heh.)

Or Jack did in his efforts to preserve Fyrestone as he mentions in that one Echo found in that same area… wouldn’t have the effect he wanted if its iconic pieces were in ruins.

Unrelated - anyone else climbimg seemingly inaccessible areas only to find a loot box at the top? Like it was meant to be climbable? Few are the rooftops where I don’t find one. I’m so glad they added this vertical element to the game… is missing from so many FPS games, and I got hooked in BL2.

Finished story with FL4K, then switched to Rakk mode to try it out. I think I like it better than Fade Away but that blasted ant is always sitting on my loot when I try to pick it up . Ran around Eden-6 doing missions til I hit mid 40s and run the casino to hit 50.

Having a blast with snipers since it SO much easier to use 'em with your pet dragging the enemies out of their hidey holes.

I recently swapped to Rakk as well and I’m definitely in favor of it. Not 50 yet on my Fl4k so my thoughts could change later, but I’m thinking I might also run through TVHM with gamma burst just to test it out lol

Actually, if you stay through to the end you find out he added his own death in to the story as a dramatic flourish because it would be a hit with the ladies. (His words, not mine. Whether faking your own death is actually a hit with the ladies might depend on the ladies in question, and they may not be celebrating for the reason you think they are…)

So I finished my TVHM for Moze. I went back to Fl4k to continue with my quest to 100% everything and get the platinum trophy. I have finished 5 of 6 trials. I finished 2 of 3 slaughters. So I imagine that I am close to getting there, though it seems that my Eridium writings achievement might be broken as the map says I have 30 of 30 done and it has not checked of. I am vainly hoping that after I complete the trials it might trigger. People have mentioned that after the story line completes you can get more logs from the one in the med bay. That did not happen for me, but maybe after the trials?

The galaxy map is indicating that I am missing quests. So I have to go on a quest to find my quests. I thought if I triggered 100% in each area that would do it. Again maybe it will trigger after I complete all the trials/slaughters. Or maybe I need to run more burgers.

Also looking for idea for a build around Rak Commander. One just dropped for me with epic Jakob roll on it. 45% jakob crit and 31% pistol damage. Not familiar with how best to implement that

The galaxy/planet map “challenge completion” is… unreliable to be polite.
Better check each individual maps. Travel on location if you want to be 100% sure. The “local map” is reliable. (To the extent of my knowledge.) Pay attention. Some maps have more than one Eridian writing symbol.

Once you confirmed that e-v-e-r-y local maps show complete. Than you can go back to Tannis lab on Santuary III to read her’s one last time.

Didn’t have a lot of time today, so Moze jumped into TVHM and picked up Vaughn’s Oscar statues. After that, it was off to Promothea where I did main story up to the end of the supply depot quest. Nothing to speak of other than one head I didn’t already have, but it’s not that great. One thing I did do for the first time is stop and take a look at the drop pod on landing:

That’s what he said! brows

Personal first: legendary in an ammo chest.

Co-op Zane and Moze finished off the NVHM playthrough (this was my buddy’s first completion of the story, so we sat through the credits, basked in the glory of Alicia Keys, and looked at the cool post-story pictures). Then we decided we’d pay the Handsome Jackpot a visit, since he hadn’t done it yet. Since I’m not scrounging to save money for bank upgrades on this character, I decided I’d check out all the VIP areas. I gotta say, they’re pretty cool, even if they don’t offer any gear or rewards. Well done, Gearbox.

The opening part didn’t offer too much resistance (he was stoked to see Loaders again, but not EXP Loaders), and we helped out All-In Allan. We met Timmy and called it a day once we got to the Casa de Timothy. Then I realized how far behind I was on what I needed to get done in order to prep for the week. Oops.

Because I know you are all fascinated…an update on my 100% quest. Everything done except the stupid firing range achievement. All quests, locations, writings. Done. So the writings one was a bit buggy. I solved the problem, of it not triggering, when I went to my Log and reviewed the writings list. Turns out one of them had an exclamation beside it. I listen to that one but still nothing. Then I went to Tannis’ lab and clicked on the big one. I did not get a new writing but all of a sudden the achievement popped up! A bit annoying but it is all fixed.

Now I just need to figure out how to do the firing range. I even have a Dictator to help and no luck yet. I have got 14 of 15 one time so logic says that I can do it. But holy skag balls that is annoying. I might have to get someone to join me in game to help. It is times like this that I really miss my mouse.

yeah the range was my last chievo. and it did require a dictator and moze (not necessarily need moze but bottomless mags helps ya keep firing)

Gifted myself a gaming PC for Xmas, which finally came with a free BL3 copy - started a new Torgue-Moze there. She’s still early in the pre-Sanctuary game and quite predictably is yet to find a single Torgue item :frowning: ). So much for loyalty run.

One obvious difference from XBOX version: much faster load times - I measured it to be ~1/2 of Claptrap, while XBOne clocks at 7+ Claptraps. On a negative side, my XB controller has a few small annoyances with PC version: I can’t drop items with press of an ‘Y’ anymore. Bizarre.

You magnificent bastard.

I switched to Moze and Bottomless Mags and had the firing range done in under five tries. I should have thought of that. Also helps not to have a skag walking in front of me.

All done with the 100%

Continuing to take my PS4 Siren through TVHM.
Just killed Kawagagi Ball and, um, max level. So the rest of the story is pretty much just picking up gear and inching guardian rank up (I only play PS4 1/3 of the time, Xbox most of the time), and I’m kinda wondering why I’m doing TVHM.
Of course, simply saying because I want to is good enough, but still.

Oh, and I dropped back into normal with mayhem to pick up a lvl 50 Lucky 7, and Scraptrap did drop one. Of course, in the same drop he dropped five (5, V) Golden Rules. Thanks?

glad to know that helped, yeah i was finding running out of ammo to be the main reason the dictator just wasn’t getting me through the range, congrats on the 100%

Moze hit some more TVHM, running through Megamind and then Athenas. Fastest Traunt kill yet, which was nice. For some reason I ended up with two copies of the sniper rifle from Zer0 for the supply depot mission - is that normal? Anyway, on this run got three legendaries, including 1 from a dook hut.

(Correction)Traunt drop:

Well dooky here:

Finally, I’m ashamed to admit that I think I’ve missed these grey eridian chests every time I’ve done this mission before now :dukefp:

Oh well, got it that time!

I noticed that last couple of times I finished that mission, sniper rifle that Zer0 gives you as a mission reward was also in one of the Maliwan chests in there. Identical copy. Since I open all boxes, two copies!

Perhaps that’s how you got them too.

I’ve gotten two Null Pointers from that mission both times I’ve done it, one from Zer0 and one from the Maliwan chests. How odd…

I spent today trying out a St4ckbot/GiTM build using weapons with the Consecutive Hit anointment and…it didn’t work out lol. It’s too easy to accidentally reset the stack count, even when restricting myself to kinetic/cryo weapons and not taking a pet :frowning: I got some nice results with an AutoAime and a Butcher, but their ammo pools are way too low to handle mobbing for long, and you give up a ton of utility and damage by trying to play around St4ckbot’s current restrictions.

The whole experience did make me think a more general Consecutive Hit/GiTM build could work though…will have to think about it some more.

And some unexpected drops from unexpected places…first, this came from an EXP-Loader after self-destructing:

And this was dropped by a Janky Scraptrap. I thought they could only drop ammo and health…

I’ve been looking for both of these guns for awhile so today ended on a nice note.
