What did you do in your most recent session

Am getting carried away with random things to do with an Infiltrator COM… next up is a Black Hole. Also trying a WTF with the Barrier.

Fun fact: since I got my first Soulrender, the Clone got to fire it before I did.

Both 1Lifers still on the road to success.
PS4 did the Hammerlock DLC up through the Wendigo mission.
Interesting level readings. Getting to Wednigo you of course go through the Clan Aourette camp to get to Eista.
Well, Zane was lvl 25, mission is 21, his minions were lvl 13. And Eista himself was lvl 16, but with an amazing amount of health, he did no damage but it took longer than you’d think to take him down. All done there, Wendigo was Lob’ed to death.
Then dropped back into Story mode to even up so he doesn’t get too far ahead level wise. And yes, it was a Lob party afternoon. One Shock Lob, one Corrosive Lob, and things went away.
The Warden fell in one phase to the corrosive Lob, since he doesn’t move much it was easy.
Then off into the Jakobs manor, and Billy the Anointed also was lobbed to death without getting off any attacks or teleporting.
Parked the PS4 for the evening, still alive…
Xbox
Finished the Hammie DLC. As usual, was a bit worried about the final fight with the gear I had but one of the Grawns in Cursehaven dropped me a timely on-level Anarchy. Thanks! End fight was simple, just took time.
Now that Zane is heading through Eden-6 as fast as I can get him through, don’t like it. GeneVIVI died tot he Anarchy too (a Fire anarchy) without any minions spawning or her barriers going up, it’s wreckin’ the game… Do want to kill Graveward so I can actually use the Pearl artifact Clappy gave me, kinda dumb that if you start with the DLC (as the game allows) you can’t use a mission reward. Ah well. He’s lvl 31 now, and still not done on Eden.
Next up, Rogue sight and Areliea. And of course using the Rogue sight (required) dumps all your Anarchy stacking, irritating. But at least the enemies are lvl 31, scaling in main game seems to be working well.

Arg, and Xbox Zane dead.
Ran into the Mud Neck clan on Eden-6, and one of the Badasses had a rapid fire double projectile rocket launcher. Took Zane down, revived once on a weaker enemy and blam rocketed to death.
Ah well, made it to level 31 this time without dying. I blame this one on the silly rogue sight gun.
Starting a new char now, PS4 is still running though.

CoV FL4K ran the Trial of Survival. Does the Eridian always say, “Something’s changed” when the Guradian comes out? (And does the guardian always drop that thing out of his head that drops a ton of cash)?

My new friend and I on our way to a new adventure!

I’ve been playing with the Endurance augment (usually rock Empathic Rage). Here I’ve concentrated a bunch of Ratch with a Quasar and the Eridian Skag attack, and they’re also in the middle of the Rift. It’s very satisfying to have a slew of enemies die at once like this, refilling the Rift meter, especially when they’re softened up and close enough together to trigger a radiation Bloodsplosion.

This loot Tink was frozen… couldn’t kill him, couldn’t loot him… He was just… there:

I never noticed that a callout for extra time would appear above kills that feed Endurance.

This is a new favorite launcher.

So even though the Rogue Sight will highlight the switches you have to shoot, you don’t actually need to equip it in order to hit the switches. Their hitboxes will register being struck even if it’s with a weapon besides the Rogue Sight.

Didn’t have much time yesterday. Zane went ahead and found a bottle of… uh… wine… for Mancubus. The wine knocked, but I didn’t knock back.

Did a bit of inventory management caused by very generous drops lately and the fact that most of my characters follow some allegiance.

Also started a brand new character for coop play, my friend’s son plays BL3 too, so we finally decided to do it together from a safe distance of 2000+ miles. He picked Moze, I made new Amara - no specific rules for her, just focus on Phasecast tree. His first impressions from Moze were quite positive, he really enjoyed stomping around in Iron Bear.

We made it to L7 in the time we had, and had full backpacks of legendaries in no time, because of all loot tinks scampering around. Almost feels like cheating.

P.S. Spent some time with my Splash Moze - gained new appreciation for Shredda , it is ridiculously fun somehow.

Completed the DLC main story on Moze - that final map really needs another vendor somewhere in the middle! Final boss went down without too much trouble, mostly switching between a Boomer and Artic Star Helix, with the occasional Soulrender thrown in to mix things up a bit.

Now to mop up the side quests. I’m coming to appreciate GBX’s strategy on drip feeding levels more and more. It’s forced - or at least strongly encouraged - me to use different gear and to dust off my least favourite VHs in order to bring them all up to scale. And I’m having a lot of fun as a result and getting to appreciate different gear that I previously probably wouldn’t have used. It was a wrench at first having to get rid of some of my favourite stuff but once I’d gotten over that initial shock it became a lot easier. And with all the Legendaries that are dropping it wasn’t a great hardship, either. I think GBX has gotten that balance pretty much spot on!

Hm. I tried that on my first TVHM play through and was not able to get them to trip until the Sight triggered visibility. My experience was you didn’t need to shoot them with the Sight, but they had to be identified with the Sight.
I’ll try it again next pass through the area since you’re confirming it can be done, thanks.

How are you doing this?

I only keep one instance of any given weapon type, and (besides Atlas), all weapons are stored in the bank, not backpacks. When I come back from a fight with gear that I think might be better than what I have in the bank, I retrieve the version from the bank, switch to the backpack, compare, store the one I’m keeping, mark the other as trash, and repeat until the copies I don’t want are all flagged as toast, and then I sell them. On any given run, there might be as many as five pieces that I bring back for comparison.

edit - also, CoV FL4K went after El Dragon, and was practicing getting the sweet spot dialed with the Sawbar when my pet (under an attack command) launched at him overhead, leaving a trail of health tics from Who Rescued Who.

I get some loose Capcom vibes when fighting this guy… like he’s a boss from Final Fight or something.

I’m not super organized about it, but it boils down to scenarios of someone like Atlas Zane collecting few Hyperion and Maliwan things and keeping them in his backpack for a bit, because gong back to Sanctuary takes time (load times on Xbox are a bit annoying).

Once there, it’s a trip to the bank to deposit gear others might use, retrieve things he now can put to use, decorate the room with low level things that are no longer needed, check up Marcus/Earl etc. Rinse repeat… I never bother with ‘trash’ tags for whatever reason.

And given the super generous offerings from loot tinks for now, I’m starting to question whether all this is even needed. Old habits die hard, though - it’s still a challenge for me to leave a legendary gun on the ground or sell it :frowning:

I can’t! I spend a lot of time picking over everything blue or better and making repeat trips to the vending machines to sell it off after a fight. I’m getting better though… left a ton of orange (good orange of the sort I’ll miss when these events are over) on the ground after wrangling with Sylestro for a while.

Busy weekend of getting reacquainted with Moze. So fun to running around in Iron Bear. I did a bunch of different farming, with my first target set as Billy the Anointed. After a bunch of kills I was able to get him to drop Raging Bear class mod.

I did a bit more farming and I am now running around with a slightly better version of Raging Bear. That is a pretty fun class mod for Moze. A bit difficult to get but with it, now that they have buffed Iron Bear.

From that point I did the quest to get me a Multi-Vitamin shield. Sadly no anointment on it. I did a couple of trial runs. I farmed both Captain and General Traunt. I now have their M4 only drops. Then I decided to beat up Sloth and Captain Thunk. I am the proud owner of five or six It’s Piss. Not a single one with an anointment. Pretty annoying. That has always been a tough fight but I have figured a safer way to do it. But so annoying that Sloth won’t drop an anointed It’s Piss.

All said I am really having fun running around in my Iron Bear. I need to see if I can improve on my current build.

Maliwan Amara made some progress through the Handsome Jackpot with a Thunderball Fists, Vosk’s Deathgrip, Krakatoa, and Spinner.

The Spinner is corrosive and fire with a ‘consecutive hits increases damage’ anointment, so I just lock 'em in place and spam: both elements work here.

I took a Vosk’s Deathgrip into the field for the first time, and it’s a delightfully weird shotgun. I haven’t got the nuances down of actually using the singularity to drag enemies into the web… am still getting the ideal distance down by Phasegrasping them.

I don’t think I got the joke the first time I got this.

I still don’t get it. What am I missing?

In find he former almost impossible to do. Even though I know the Legendary in question is not one I want every fibre of my being screams against leaving it on the ground! I have less trouble selling it (certainly made easier recently by the increased drop rates) but there’s something buried deep within my psyche which makes it pretty much compulsory to pick one up!

There is a joke… with this trinket? MY WHOLE LIFE IS A LIE!

Bear Grylls, that outdoor tough guy, got infamous for drinking his own urine in some extreme survival situation. His tagline was “Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.” You will note the piss color of the unlock cube for the trinket (which is otherwise a pretty nice one). It’s this guy:

Atlas Zane went through Tazendeer Ruins on MM4, and had a blast. I’m totally hooked on the Infiltrator COM for the manual triggering of various shield effects (Band of Sitorak, Revengenader, Nova/Fleet/Trigger Happy… all at my fingertips).

Those Maliwan enemies that dodge quickly still cannot outrun an Atlas weapon once tagged. It’s quite satisfying to peg one and watch the rounds fly all over the map as he tries to dodge them.

Atomic also thought he was fast, but Ruby’s Wrath caught him.

This Ruby’s Wrath has the ‘cryo with SNTNL’ anointment, and I’m wearing an amp shield here. It hits pretty hard.

I’m fairly certain that’s military moto (Marines I think) which is likely where Bear got it from.
