Gearbox said they would plan on making DLC’s for the game if it did a good job, the question is, what would the DLC’s even contain?
New Battleborns?
New story mode campaigns?
Just cosmetics/skins?
More character ranks for more cosmetics/skill helix mutations?
Level cap increases?
Access to special loot packs?
I know the game isn’t going to be Pay to Win and all, but still, I don’t see what the DLC could really be besides DLC characters and more campaign levels.
I’d guess Campaign and cosmetics.
DLC characters is a double edged sword… And one side is much sharper than the other.
This is sort of answered on Steam’s page for the Season Pass.
Receive 5 DLC packs, each pack allowing you to command your Battleborn on all new Story Operations. Plus instantly unlock 5 new heroes when they release, and gain awesome new skins and taunts along the way.
So, if this is accurate, it looks like each DLC will introduce a new character, instantly unlocked by DLC purchasers, but still unlockable in game for non-DLC purchasers through regular play like the other characters (at least, that’s how it’s worded). The single/coop-campaign mode will get new missions, and those will only be available to DLC purchasers as well as some skins, probably.

Yeah… so maybe they should make the Suggested Topics not show anything that has been inactive for more than a month? I am done using that “feature” now, haha!

They will HAVE to be available in game somehow. If they werent and one of them turned out as “OP” there would be no end to the shitstorm until ALL the DLC characters where changed to be free of charge.
They are all going to be immediately available to everyone playing the game that purchase the DLC…it seems it is that they are Unlocked without having to do the side missions to get them unlocked, like “Reach Level 30” or “Win 5 games as a Rogue Player”
