I just found this video today, and it really got me thinking of all the gear in TPS that just seems completely pointless (like most torgue barrel ARs, all the landscaper rip offs except for rocket jumps, etc…). Now I’m wondering why GB put them in the game.

Was it to:

  1. Keep in content just cuz?
  2. Not so subtlety show us what is good and bad?
  3. Subtlety show us what is good and bad?
  4. Be awesome in specific scenarios?
  5. For challenge?

So, where do you think the Min Min Lighter would fall in the 3 provided categories(from the vid)?

It’s situationally awesome. Put on the Rerouter and use Jack, it’s the funniest thing I ever did in TPS. It kills mobs in 1 shot, and if you’re a maestro you can also shoot the orb right after it shocks enemies to really give them a wallop.
