I don’t think a real meta exists yet, just trending gimmicks on YouTube and reddit.
As for my unpopular preferences that aren’t flavours of the month, among them are the Devil’s Foursum and Firestorm, particularly Rain and Diluvian variants.

Not sure if its meta now, but I’ve been using the carrier before the huge buff.
The boomsickle. I have a radiation one, and the sound and rhythm of it is super satisfying! It even does okay damage to normal mobs. Not so much to anything tanky.
Definitely not best gear available but I like having messy breakup and handsome jack hammer equipped just for the dialogue.
Long Musket is pretty fun.
I love Dahl with Zane as well, never really tried the Kaos, I prefer the Helix over it. Awesome gun for when the modifier reducing damages with smgs pistols and shotguns. Fires three bullets at the cost of one.

Favorites guns are :
- Violet Atlas Q System guns (Loooooove those)
- The true monocle : Who doesn’t love a one bullet pet head sniper? Honnestly not a “strong” weapon but I enjoy using it
- Violet maliwan shockwave shotgun : They’re not really viable in high mayhem, but still fun to use
- Violet COV rifle/pistol shooting 2 bullets with annointed +50% cryo next magazine : Just LoL
- The brain stormer : Taking all those damn shield down in one go

The Faisor. Never read anybody including it in the top weapons, but for me it’s one of the ARs that works best. better than more popular ones like warlord and gatling gun for example.

Its a good question as reading the internet just seems to suggest everyone uses the same thing. Personally I don’t care what someone else thinks about a build or a weapon as everyone has their own preference and playstyle. What works for one person may not click with another. Try them all and see what works for you.
I main as Moze so tend to gravitate towards explosive or splash damage type weapons.
My current 4 weapons that I use for TVHM Mayhem 3 are:
- Thorns - Corrosive Damage
- Trevonator - Great shotgun with Shock and Cryo. The Cryo damage strips armour quicker than any Corrosive based weapon I have.
- Laser-Sploder - This is my main weapon and combined with Moze ability for Incendiary and Splash damage, just kills most of the mobs super quickly.
- Hive - This rocket launcher is great for clearing pesky airborne enemies
I don’t think any of these are considered MUST HAVE weapons but combined they handle Mayhem 3 without any issues.
Being Moze the one common thing I do use is the Hex grenade. The is mainly for health re-gen but still a great grenade loved by many.
At the moment I am running with an all-Hyperion Zane and apart from the Crossroads and a spread of different shotguna I enjoy my lvl50 Nullpointer a lot (I am not a fan of the legendary Hyperion sniper rifles)

Ah didn’t realise the Laser-Spolder was considered meta although can’t say I’m surprised considering how effective it is with a Moze spec’d to take advantage of it.
I did try the Foursome but just didn’t get on with it. Seemed to miss most of my shots which is never a good thing 
Do you know if Ogre is a specific boss drop? It’s one of the only guns in your list that I haven’t seen.
