What happened to higher mayhem weapons being more powerful?

I suggest getting the lootsplosion modifier if possible while out mobbing, and just play on a mayhem level that isn’t too much of a slog. I was on mayhem 7 initially and wasn’t too bad but backed off to 6 just to grab a few better weapons before pushing up too far. I went behind Ellie’s garage with my Zane and had 15 legendary drops in one run. As long as you get critical kills especially badass enemies you can rack up. When I made my first run on the cartel mansion I had an O.P.Q system legendary drop and that thing is amazing, 54,000 x2 damage with almost 9 fire rate. So I’ll prob jump up soon. Would like to be able to get chest items On the higher mayhem levels but it is what it is I guess.

Slaughter shaft is giving consistently improved gear according to mayhem level. Takedown in single player mode is locked to mayhem 4 rewards it seems

I’m expecting huge buffs to lots of weapons,

Almost NOTHING other than the anarchy is viable against mayhem 10 bosses. I mean it’s doable but you running through pistol, assault, smg ammo just to kill some bosses and that’s with mayhem 10 guns.

Mayhem 10 is rought x15 HP from old M4
Mayhel 10 weapon are roughly x2.5 damage from old version

Only the weapon that were OP as ■■■■ (and if possible with amazing amno management) can hold a candle to this new mayhem mod, meaning you’ll find yourself playing with Anarchy, the Lob and that’s mostly it (I might miss a few OP weapon that were more build specific, but in the end it boil down to that)

Which is fine for bossing I’m getting on just fine against the twins and my build isn’t even perfect but even a good anointed hellshock before would do work on M4 but now a M10 hellshock with the new 200% annoint doesn’t tickle them.

It also makes playing the levels an not bossing damn near impossible.

I say near because I did beat Joey Ultraviolet in under 3 min in M10 and I’m not the beastiest

Once again, that’s what the game is about. Now try to run the Anvil in M10, and see what happen

Drop rates are pissing me off. What’s the point of struggling to kill enemies on M10 if they’re just gonna keep dropping M4 gear? Tired of this crap

I see a decent damage upgrade but most m10 guns are not viable for m10 but would tear m8 up. Kinda weird.

The problem is that we have 6 times the increase in enemy health/armor/shield in relation to the damage buff gear receives. And action skills do not get any buff! Or in other words: Gear gets more than 80% weaker and action skills are getting 97% worse when compared to the previous Mayhem 4! That’s even worse than OP8 was back then and will limit gear choices just as much. And don’t even get me started with build diversity. Amara? Is fine, but her action skills don’t even tickle enemies anymore. Fl4k gets even more glass cannony and has to sustain themself against enemies longer now, which lowers the viability even more. And the pets are not just a joke now, they are not making any difference even if against the trashiest of trash mobs. Zane is fine as well, but you has to use the clone with it’s capstone now to get any damage at all and the drone is now basically a buff/debuff device. The action skill damage is now non-existent.

They are better some m10 guns are twice the damage, they should be 10x imo but then it would make it too easy for some people, even thou if they want it harder they could just use weaker weapons…

Remember when every one said they just go straight to m10 and use chests and vending machines to gear that’s why they drop m0 gear

That’s pretty much why I wanted a difficulty slider for years. Give players as much control as possible. People that want the best possible gear should also be able to scale their enemies up further for more damage. Although I have to say that Rogue-lite as a modifier is pretty much as hardcore as it gets for Borderlands.

But that’s exactly how op levels were in bl2.

Axton’s turret was a slagging aggro device, maya’s phaselock was just crowd control, Zero could only do reasonable damage with his skill by shield stripping constantly, and Salvador’s was the holy grail because it literally just doubled his dps and it could go on forever. Kreig was ok (albeit cumbersome). And don’t even get me started on how useless Deathtrap was .

That’s why I didn’t understand why people were so excited about Fl4k and his pets. We’re in the endgame now. And since this is borderlands, only gun damage matters. Everything else is a utility.

But they scaled nonetheless and Deathtrap was still a relatively solid damage source, the right gear equipped that is. The action skills at least leveled up with each OP level. Here we’re talking about even higher discrepancies and the skills don’t scale at all, while also Iron Bear has just 1 augment that isn’t primarily damage centric and that’s target softening.

Lest we forget mail is broken too.no bekkah/scoville/rico. or any nice allegiance goodies. I’m not gonna get started on all the things i feel broke this game badly. they better start hotfixing things esp mayhem 0 stuff dropping on mayhem 10 with nothing on card.I’m stopping here before i list all the other bugs and gamebreaking issues
