What I want Borderlands 3 to be

We’re talking Nisha. She might decide its a turn on.

From beyond the grave…

If we had a new siren that can revive dead people, it would make a great plot, new ennemy type and bring back jack, roland, etc. And if she dies all her zombies die too! would make a great plot with some emotions! what do you think about that?

Sure, why not?

Nakayama clone test run. Twin sister. Eridians.

Something can be made up.

its borderlands. consistency is optional. part of its charm.

Yeah xD with Borderlands, sky’s the limit

Or, Nakayama brought her back, then his machine blew up as he was about to bring back Jack.

Hey, we can dream.

most of what i agree on is in your last paragraph. most of everything else uhm… not so much. i kinda felt like bl2 was favored over bl1. i sure don’t like bl1. everything was stiff and closed in. i like the weapon system in borderlands 2. it gives you something to work for outside of playing through the story and doing side missions. i cant tell you how many times i got excited after killing a loot midget or ripping a boss a part to find a shiny new epic or legendary weapon just sitting there. finding some of these guns is hard but it’s also very rewarding. it almost makes you want to keep them as a trophy sometimes.

i personally think a showroom for weapons you find/ earn should be a good addition to the game. i also think bl3 should take place outside of Pandora on both a planet and its moon. at the end of bl2 you discover that vaults are hidden all over the galaxy that Borderlands takes place in. so maybe we’ll be playing on a different planet or multiple different planets.

I actually stored a Level 15 Critical Conference Call as a trophy in the bank on my first playthrough. I was very proud.

Then I found better weapons and eventually sold it.

And yeah, we really should have a showroom. It would be lovely if that was the reward for the last vault, and you can take the weapons you want as a reward.

i mean like an trophy menu where every rare, epic, legendary ect… can be displayed along with the specs and the level it was when you got it. the locker can only hold so many weapons and when you level up enough, you’re likely to sell your weapons when they don’t do enough damage to your enemies. how ever you may still want to keep your weapons as trophies because maybe the gun you got was really hard to find and you wan to show your friends how bad ass your loot farming skills are. so a trophy menu that displays all the high class weapons you have found whilst playing the game would be a good idea. just for viewing the weapons, their specs and how you obtained it though.

I like it!

Perhaps our next antagonist could be the CEO of MALIWAN. While i dont really agree with the consept of a siren being able to bring the dead back to life, it would be an interesting idea to have the CEO of MALIWAN, the elemental weapons manufacturer as bl3’s next main bad guy. For now this is just an idea since I’m pretty sure gearbox has probably just started writing out the games story by now. but if MALIWAN is the best at making elemental weapons then their competitors, that means they have some kind of technological advantage perhaps some one who knows the different damage types in and out and uses that info to manufacture weapons and profit off the insanity that occupies Pandora, Elpis and maybe other planets. Maybe the CEO of MALIWAN is a multi-elemental sirin who’s grown twisted and decides to use the resources of his/her company to develop/ look for a weapon that can do more then silence a single planet filled with twisted people. Kinda like what handsome jack wanted to do but maybe on a much larger scale. that could explain why the supposed eridian (spoilers) came to to warn the vault hunters at the end of bl tps. Just something to think about. Also Gearbox if you haven’t thought of this as a plot for the story but would like to use it just take it and run! don’t worry about filling my pockets! (Though if you could that would be nice… Juss sayin)

There are 2 things I’m wanting them to add: Moral Choices and More Endings.
The moral choices and endings kind of intertwine.
Ex: You have a choice wether or not you want to kill the final boss or give them mercy. Then based off the choice you make, there’s a different ending which would result in different loot and etc.
What do you guys think?

Personally, I’d like to see Dahl again. Yeah, I know that they were the main antagonists of the Pre-Sequel, but that was only a splinter faction.

How about the entire corporation, then? They’re the most military-like and could certainly fight a war, with all the technology that the Lost Legion possessed in the Pre-Sequel. They would also probably head back to Pandora to take over again and get the riches left over by Jack and Atlas, which were denied to them at first.

They’re also ruthlessly corporate, so yeah. Villain material.

Oh, and at least make the present CEO a LOT less lovable than Handsome Jack. If they want him to make him completely evil, that’s fine. Just make him a much more brutal and less of a joker than Jack.

Related to corporations and the popular “corporate sponsor” idea, you could pick at least either Jakobs, Maliwan, Tediore, Torgue or Vladof (or even S&S) to sponsor you, and send in at least a couple of platoons to help you at times.

thats an interesting and very possible theory, but i like to hope that MALIWAN is the enemy this time around. i’m kinda interested in how gearbox explains their technological advantages in elemental weapons.

I do agree with you on jack but only because I’m not sure Gearbox will be able to hit us with the same playful and deadly personality that jack had. its kinda like joker in the batman series. joker can not be replaced by any other villain. he is so well done that I’m not sure DC would be able to make a villain that matched up to the joker. I have the same views with handsome jack. Even so those kinds of “hey I’m both evil and funny” personalities are my favorites. I like a villain that cam make me laugh and cry at the same time. poor blood wing/ Roland. I’ve played through bl2 a lot and those moments still get to me.

I said something similar to this on the old forums in the context of people wanting to kill Lilith. I said I would be fine if they gave us a choice (I’m a Lilith-lover), but someone said my idea was sh*t because it’s a co-op game, and having different decisions in the main story would cause fights among players.

The only thing I’d want (so far) is to make Sniper rifles functional in End Game.

There is a whole class devoted to them and they have a serious drop off in usefulness later in UVHM, BL2. Sure you can make it work, but it’s specific to a couple of rifles.

And let’s be honest, it’s not that easy to pull off a headshot on a Rabid Skag charging at you. I think that should be worth a 1 shot kill. Just sayin’

They are in TPS. You might have to take more than one shot to kill UBAs, but you can be a sniping character just fine.

Then it seems it’s already been noted and in their field of view. Haven’t played TPS, but that’s good to hear.

Good idea! Except how about the machine or chest throws/drops the item out as you pull the handle again. For the golden key chest though it would be best then if to open it you pull a handle on the side. Otherwise you might accidentally spend another key while trying to grab the loot.

waht i would love to see in A new borderlands.

  1. Playable GAIGE
  2. Weapon Crafting could make loot drops more intersting since the chance for a useful part is higher than a full weapon
  3. Playable GAIGE
  4. Shooting range withe diferent targets for diferent weapon effects.
  5. Playable GAIGE
  6. Bigger bank i know it isnt everyones thing but i love to collect stuff please let my keep unique weapons.
  7. Playable GAIGE
  8. have i mentioned Playable GAIGE
