Iād like to see more Luneshine variations of weapons. I think that was a really good concept in TPS that could be broadened and expanded on. I think it would be interesting to include Luneshine variations of shields and grenade mods.

Not sure if it counts as an iconic weapon but I would like to see the variant weapon types return as well.
In BL1 we had things like the shotguns that shoot rockets and the anarchy SMGs that were basically a SMG shotgun
BL2 switched this up with E-tech weapons which in some cases had behavior modifiers that could even differ by manufacturer.
Not all of these variants behavior weapons were widely used by people but it added flavor and variety to the game. Bonus points if enemies in BL3 actually used weapons made by the loot generation system to add more variety or randomness to even general enemy encounters.

This, essentially.
Things like E-tech, Eridian, Seraph, Gemstone, Luneshine, etc weapons that almost certainly wonāt be in bl3 would actually be really nice to have as possible loot. More variety of weapons = better weapons system imo.
Iād go so far to say they could even include āoldā weapons, such as if you loot chests on Pandora you have a chance to find Hyperion/Atlas weapons of their original design.
Itās not really necessary at all since they certainly put a lot of thought into the guns already, but itād be a nice little feature.

Probably not iconic, but I have a strong love for The Storm. Itās such a cool sniper concept.
I just found my first Double Anarchy as Lilith, so, I can say Iād enjoy seeing that.
Oh! And The Aries? That was a fun concept.
Itās honestly so tough. Because I love how many absolutely ridiculous different things pop up and Iām like āThis Changes EVERYTHINGā and I play with it and itās a whole new game for a while.

Ammo regenerating weapons and class mods. The BL1 ogre, Firehawk, defiler, thanatos, hammer. And Id love to see some original Borderlands pearls come back.
Iād like to see The Chopper make a return. Who doesnāt like a gun that fires every bullet in itās magazine with one pull of the trigger! lol

With Roland wasnāt it possible to make the Chopperās mag size exceed the max amount of combat rifle ammo you could carry with the top tier SDU?

Yeah, you could fire every last assult riffle bullet in you Storage Deck with a single pull of the trigger! But if you didnāt want to do that, all you had to do was interupt it.
BL1: Anarchy, Unforgiven (Properly redone since revolvers seem to be coming back this time), Defiler, Ogre (By Atlas this time), Maliwan Crux, Nemesis
BL2: Conference Call, Fastball, Nukem, Droog
TPS: A unique SMG/AR which would be a homage to the Maliwan Beams (with continuous damage and all)

I remember Gearbox asking what was your favorite weapon. I think it was a twitter post.
Called for the Florentine. Not really my āfavoriteā but I really like the slag(nerf element)/shock combo.
Seem like all Maliwan will come with two (switchable) elements. So Iām served.
p.s. I think itās extremely doubtful ādual legendaryā would be back. Game balance being everything I prefer having stronger single legendary then having taking into account every possible combination.
Maybe they could be introduce as an end game gun builder mechanic? Nothingās impossible but game wise I donāt see them as a benefit. More of an OP glitch.

Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker from Destiny XD Both weapons were not reimplemented in Destiny 2 and also limited to vanilla max level in Destiny as they were to powerful for the actual game ^^
So they kinda return if they would be implemented in Borderlands 3

Beside that give me an Infinite and a Bee Shield and I would be happy XD
