What if Moze had 3 action skills? My Idea

While one could argue the different weapons on Iron Bear act as multiple action skills, in relation to the other VHs, it doesn’t. Moze’s one and only action skill is Iron Bear. Been thinking about this for a couple hours so this would be my pitch, let me know what you think.

Action Skills
Sarting with the action skill, for the green tree, the base form would be the Minigun Moze digi-structs into her hands. It lasts for 20 seconds, has a 30 second CD, and would behave pretty much exactly like the Minigun on Iron Bear, but would restrict Moze from sprinting. The action skill can be ended early simply by switching weapons, refunding some CD. Using iron sights will zoom view and keep the Minigun revved up. The Flamethrower skill itself would be removed and the augments would be what changes the Minigun/IB weapons, more in the augment section.

The blue tree action skill would be Iron Bear, mostly unchanged aside from its default weapons being the grenade launcher. The Rocket Pod skill would also be removed and the augments would be what switches to them, more in the augment section.

The red tree would have Moze digi-truct the Railgun into her hands. It would be mostly the same as the current Railgun, but would have a 3 round mag in Moze’s hands and a fire rate of 1. Duration and CD would also be 20 and 30 respectively and can be ended early by switching weapons. Bear Fist skill would be removed and the augments will change the Railgun/IBs weapons, more in the augment section.

Augments
Like I alluded to before, the augments in the green and red tree will be what switches out IBs right and left guns. The augments would be mostly the same for IB with added changes for the Minigun and Railgun.

Starting with the Green tree, Let Off Some Steam, General Winter, and Exploding. Bullets., would be mostly unchanged in Moze’s hands and on IB. The fuel drain on GW won’t apply in Moze’s hands as there wouldn’t be fuel. The damage and splash radius on EB will be reduced in Moze’s hands, but have a slightly higher fire rate to reduce the risk of killing yourself. The flamethrower augments, Fuel Economy, Chemical Warfare, and Molten Roar would change the Minigun into the Flamethrower and work the same in Moze’s hands and IB. FE will increase movement speed of Moze and IB when damaging enemies, the reduce fuel drain will apply only to IB as the flametrower won’t have fuel in Moze’s hands. CW will change to corrosive damage and increase melt damage. Molten Roar on the other hand, would be overhauled and instead fire lighting that arcs to multiple enemies and deals shock damage, similar to Winston’s weapon in Overwatch. This would give the flamethrower more versitility in dealing with all health bars. Like IB, the Minigun will be able ot use 2 augments, including one for the mingun and one for the Flamethrower at the same time, and you’ll be able to switch between them using the same button that switches firing modes. You won’t be able to use augments from the blue and red tree.

For the blue tree, the augments for the grenade launcher and rocket pods would remain the same, with the exception of active tracking, which would let you switch between normal fire and lock-on fire by switching modes.

For the red tree, the augments for the Railgun, Hell On Rails, Capacitive Armature, and Corrosive Sabot Rounds will be mostly the same in Moze’s hands and on IB. HoR will deal fire damage and drain more fuel on IB, but for Moze, it’ll reduce fire rate to .5 and have 2 rounds in the mag. And both will have the added benefit of passing through enemies. CA will chain shock damage to multiple enemies on Moze and IB. Mag size and fire rate remains the same on Moze. CSR will still be reduced corrosive damage, and reduce fuel drain on IB. Mag size will increase for both Moze and IB, +2 for IB and +3 for Moze. Fire rate for Moze remains the same. The augments for Bear Fist, Wild Swing, Close The Distance, and Shockhammer would be the same on IB, but for Moze, Bear Fist would be like a unique pump-action shotgun. The base mag would be 5 rounds. On Moze, WS would deal random bonus elemental damage, but will also replace the ammo with slug rounds, increasing accuracy and crit damage. CtD on Moze would attach a grapple on Moze’s BF shotgun, succussfully grappling an enemy would increase the damage of you next shot by 100%. SH on Moze would convert the shotgun to auto fire, increase mag size to 10, increase fire rate and deal bonus shock damage. Like with the Minigun you can have 2 red augments on the Railgun, including one for the Railgun and Bear Fist at the same time, and switching fire modes will swap between augments.

Skill Changes
To reflect the added action skills certain skills in all 3 trees I feel should be tweeked as well as add new skills. Skills I don’t mention will be unchanged. Starting with green again.

Bottomless Mags

  • Tier 1
  1. Cloud of Lead will apply bonus fire damage to the 4th shot of Moze’s Minigun and Railgun action skills, the 4th shot of the Railgun will cost no ammo

  2. Dakka Bear would digitruct a second Minigun/Railgun for a co-op partner to pick up, increasing damage of them and Moze when they use it

  • Tier 2
  1. Redistribution will have Minigun have a 5% chance to reduce heat by 10% on crit and Railgun will have 20% chance to add ammo on crit. Health regen applys to both on crit.

  2. Scrappy will include increased damage, handling and mode switch speed while moving on Minigun and Railgun

  • Tier 3
  1. Rushin’ Offense will allow Moze to sprint and shoot with the Railgun and sprint with the Minigun. Leech will be always active on Minigun at 4% damage dealt.

  2. Scorching RPM would increase crit damage of Minigun and Railgun action skills

  • Tier 4
  1. Specialist Bear would increase Minigun and Railgun damage when equiping 1 augment

  2. Sponsored by Tediore(New Skill) While holding the Minigun, pressing reload will drop the weapon on the ground, creating a stationary turret. The Minigun will continue to fire for the rest of the duration. Holding interact will pick it back up. (This is so Moze can benefit from ASA annointments)

  1. Some for the Road would apply on action skill end for Minigun and Railgun action skills
  • Tier 6
  1. Forge would add a 5% chance on hit to reduce Minigun heat by 10% and 10% chance for Railgun on hit to add 1 ammo to the mag

Demolition Woman

  • Tier 1
  1. Fire in the Skag Den will apply to minigun EB and Railgun CSR augments

  2. Deadlines adds time on Minigun and Railgun on kill

  3. Grizzled redcues action skill CD on kill for Minigun and Railgun action skills

  • Tier 2
  1. Means of Destruction’s ammo chance applies to Minigun EB and Railgun CSR augments in Moze’s hands

  2. Torgue-Cross Promotion applies to Minigun EB and Railgun CSR augments in Moze’s hands

  3. Stainless Steel Bear would increase Minigun and Railgun action skill duration by 10% per point

  1. Vampyr applies to Minigun EB and Railgun CSR augments at 2% per point per enemy hit in Moze’s hands
  • Tier 5
  1. Explosive Punctuation applies to Minigun EB and Railgun CSR augments in Moze’s hands

  1. Shurt Fuse applies to Minigun and Railgun in Moze’s hands

Shield of Retribution

  • Tier 1
  1. Selfless Vangence applies to Railgun in Moze’s hands

  2. Security Bear adds front mounted shields on Minigun and Railgun action skills while ADS with half of Moze’s shield capacity. Recharge works the same as Hyperion gun shields

  3. Armored Infantry applies gun damage to Minigun and Railgun action skills
