NVHM to UVHM1, Krieg with Light the Fuse works well.
OP1 onwards, a Norfleet (by Damage) or a Badaboom (ammo consumption and mag size).
Slag doesn’t deal less damage. It just doesn’t benefit as much from an already slagged target. Slag guns deal normal damage against shield, flesh and armor, and it could double as a mass slagging tool… All in all, along with shock, it’s one of the most versatile element for a Fleet.
Mongol, especially if it has the parts for fast reloads.
Maya: Hydra or Maggie.
Axton: ROM
Krieg: DPUH or Rapier.
Gaige: Twister or Pimpernal.
Salvador: ROM.
Agreed. What I was saying is that when a weapon has Slag as it’s element, it usually has a lower damage on the card. It’s just something I’ve noticed.
@otakumetalhead I just found a Mongol. Haven’t used it yet. Looked cool
That’s true of all guns with an element (well, those that can spawn both with and without)
Non-elemental version of those guns have the equivalent of a 20% damage increase.
Though I believe I’ve read somewhere that shotguns are spared this, so in the case of shotguns, elemental guns almost always make more sense.
Since Maya cannot ADS while in FFYL, the next time I go into FFYL I am going to try using a Practicable Interfacer (Fire) and see how that works out. Normally I have a Sand Hawk (Fire) equipped, but being DAHL it really benefits from the burst fire you get while ADS. With my luck, whatever puts me into FFYL will be Fire resistant.

These builds use unique weapon types per element, so the choices here are only available depending on how I’m rolling. For simplicity, I’ve just chosen my favorite per build.
Vladof build - Topneaa
Bandit - Badaboom
Hyperion - Butcher
Maliwan - Hive
Torgue - Topneaa
Jakobs - Twister
Tediore - Baby Maker
Dahl - nothing (that dude is screwed if he goes down).
Tell me about it. Perhaps I should try using a Lascaux next time I get knocked into FFYL as Maya. I’ll let you know how that worked out
outside of Rocket Launchers, the best guns to get out of FFYL are usually Hyperion ones, because they remian very accurate even when you do not ADS. The Bitch is a GREAT choice if you can aim. Otherwise, the CC does wonders.
As I rarely us RL- the DPUH (that, or whatever weapon they have in hand- in Axton’s case I’d throw grenades as well- if I still had Do or Die…)
The shock Norfleet has become my go to FFYL weapon on Gaige. That thing just fries everything.

He is screwed. Dahl even makes some damn fine grenades that could probably work if he had Do or Die (but I have some weird rules about my builds, and my Torgue-only Commando currently gets that skill), leaving my “Dahlmmando” to die. Seriously though, if there’s a weakened enemy who’s not sharp enough to back away from the wounded soldier looking for a Second Wind, I’ll fire on them and maybe get lucky.
Norfleet, DPUH, Ravager, Hawkeye, Florentine, Pimpernel/Ahab (if the enemy was a jerk)…pretty much whatever gun was already in my hand. Borderlands has taught me that there is no problem in the game you can’t solve with more gun.
I try not to go into ffyl if I can help it. If I do- Pimpernel.
No one’s mentioned the Baby Maker…my Siren has had phenomenal luck with a BM, and points into Immolate don’t hurt either.
…I did for my Tediore allegiance build a few lines up
So you did…I missed that earlier.
The Hail is a great FFYL weapon for Gaige, even against those Marauders that go behind cover JUST AFTER you go to FFYL.
