Funny you posted that since very soon after I started chatting with a co-worker about this

SRV and Albert King in Hamilton in 1983. I had a friend with a bootleg recording of this back in 199X. As an aside : I don’t think people knew how much of SRV’s style could be attributed to King. I wouldn’t say he ripped him off, but he kinda did. Besides, King plays a Gibson Flying V which makes him way more badass :stuck_out_tongue:

Currently completing some complicated forms online and staying focused listening to The Turn of a Friendly Card by The Alan Parsons Project.
A classic album indeed!

I was sick as a dog on this piss rain day. My wife came home and put on the radio - CBC was playing Tom Waits’ Rain Dogs in its entirety since the album is 35 years old this week. We both sat in bed drinking tea and eating toast while we listened.

Such a great album. I love 80’s Waits to bits.

I woke up this morning with a line from an old song stuck in my head, but I couldn’t remember anything about it. So I looked it up. It was the song ‘Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep’ by the aptly named band, Middle of the Road.
