Some songs that got me through my youth:
Over 25 years later still great songs…
The Singles soundtrack is one of the best ones ever, and add The Crow to that list.
Good music is timeless. I remind one of my sister that W.A Mozart and L.V Beethoven compositions are over 400 yo…
Remind me of a friend I borrowed an LP from in my teenage years. Took some time to give him back. Maybe two months.
He didn’t want it back! That’s “passé” he said…!!!
Bit cheesy but I think it still rock today.
The Singles soundtrack sure nailed the zeitgeist, didn’t it? Other than the obvious Westerberg crap. “Would?” blew me away, but it was Chris Cornell’s track that really impressed me :
I’d been a fan of Soundgarden since the beginning and at the time had no inkling he was capable of this. Of course Temple of the Dog came out shortly after (dedicated to the then recently deceased Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone).
It was a great regret I never had a chance to see MLB live. I did see Soundgarden a few times though.
Any soundtrack that has songs by Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone and drumroll Screaming Trees is good in my books.
I have to admit, I’m a bit jealous. I saw Soundgarden only once live (on tour with Faith No More, back in '92)
Let’s be honest. There’s only ONE Fab Four.
You just have to love the variety, from Chris Cornell over finnish doom metal to Wantaways via the Beatles…
Amen to that; Have a like
And now for something completely different:
Their first album with Gavin Harrison on drums
My phone music is on shuffle and these were back to back to back to back
Anyone else not seeing the Soundcloud embed in Tracer’s post? I had to abuse mod powers just to figure out what was in there!
It was there for me (in Safari).
This is popular in the UK right now due to an advertising campaign. Advertising can be annoying but I do love it when they bring older music to younger audiences. Great song!
If you have John Myung in your band, but want an upgrade anyway. Who can you call?
It’s that day of the year again.
… and again.
Double post
This leading to that… And it’s not even Sunday!
Not the first time I post a Mike Massé cover. Not a huge fan of cover guys but some truly deserve recognition. Must come from my hanging at bars years.
