What should they do with Tiny Tina in BL3? Obligatory Spoiler Warning

I think her character should change: less crazy, more aware of the seriousness of the situation and a bit calmer. I like Tina and I think if she just stayed the way she is, she would become a dull joke -“look at me I am still crazy”-

With develop I don’t mean they should just give us more of Tina, but they should consider how her personality would alter when she grows up and become less crazy.

Bah, forum search worst search. Here’s a link:

13 pages but less overlap with this discussion than I remembered. Still, we used to talk about Tina as a future VH on the BL2 forums back in the day. I think she’d be awesome as a playable character.

I think Tina could be a lot of fun to play. I also think that our expectations for her would make it pretty difficult to make her a playable character. But, you never know. Maybe they’ll surprise us.

Seriout, no satcasm, this is the best thread I’ve read in a while.

Five to eight years down the line, Not-So-Tiny-Tina will be Executive Vice President in Charge of Blowing Sh*t Up Real Good of the Torgue Corporation. Of course, by then, she’ll also look like a leggy blonde supermodel. Still an NPC, still passing out side quests from her office, sipping on tea.

Yep, guess this is why Half life 3 takes so long. Our expectations aren’t simply high, but I guess people expect different things.

It’s mostly just people praising it(I also think that it’s quality work) and at the end some people mention that using her skag as a living rocket is a bit odd.

There is no dynamic between tiny and torque, it would be like a hamster on cocaine, it’s fun to watch and we all asked ourselves how it would look like, but it’s just the same things over and over. You don’t put two comedy characters in one room, and if someone does that, only for a few moments.

The NPCs should stay as NPC s. That is my humble opinion.

I am not trying to disprove someones opinion.

BL has a lot of characters now, I think turning some of them into new playable characters would be a good approach.

Tiny would need a skill that makes everything explode when she shoots it.

Bloody awesome!

She doesn’t need to interact much with Mr. Torgue himself, just that she should work for his company (if it’s still his company, considering Headhunter Pack #2). Why? Because EXPLOSIONS, that’s why.

Maybe if they want to put Tina in the rear, but if she becomes Vault hunter she will need a better back story, something that further defines her character in BL3.

If they throw Mr, Torgue out of his company, they would probably not hire another maniac.

First, President Camacho AND explosions?! AWESOME! I’d pay full price and more, just to be able to do that.

I can see Tina’s back story developing, if the crew at GBX/2K want. Kid was orphaned by a big company’s greed. She was basically raised by former vault hunters (a drunk and a bandit king among them), in the midst of a bandit- and varkid-infested tundra. She became one of the most talented (and eccentric) demolitions experts on Pandora by age 13. She helped the Slab King fight the Sawtooth bandit clan, helped vault hunters rob TWO trains, and kinda-somewhat freed Butt Stallion from the Hyperion CEO. Her resume is already better than Gaige’s. One problem? Gaige. We already have a teenage girl on Team Vault Hunter. Still, she IS pretty much a living Flesh Crunch COM, with great dialogue.

But I’ll take whatever lets me wield the power of President Camacho in combat.

As much as I like her character, I think Gearbox can’t just take her personality and put it in a older body. We already explored her personality, so her personality needs to develop. You can’t establish her character by saying, that the was awesome in the previous game. There must be something between BL2 and BL3.

Agreed. What I’m failing to state clearly, is that I think they’re already off to a good start, if they’d like to make her playable.

Roland forcibly relocated Patrica Tannis to Sanctuary for her safety. That Patrica Tannis still lives in a non-standard living arrangement with two ceiling chairs would have been funny to, but by saying that someone relocated her to a safer place underlines how dangerous the situation.
If someone would relocated Tina to a safer place, it would also underline how dangerous the situation.

I’d prefer that Tina stays an NPC. My issues is that yes, she deals with explosives but has Tina ever fired a gun and killed someone that way? And why would the Crimson Lance train her to use guns if she’s a demolitions expert already? Surely they’re not going to give her a gun and tell her to “Shoot this hyperion soldier we captured in the face” at such a young age.

VH’s use firearms, I don’t see Tina as a firearms user.
