Ok so just to clarify I do know how to use loadouts and my gear amd how to activate them in match. Thats not a problem. What im curious about really is what everyone is using for loadouts and what stats they are looking for from their gear choices and how they apply them to the battleborn that they choose to play so i can get a better idea of what the current meta is.
I like putting damage gear on Benedict, because his already insane damage just gets better with the extra boost. Also, I boost health, shield, and attack speed in Montana, for similar reasons.
Phoebe Tanky
For Phoebe i use green armor + shoulders for extra life and dmg reduction. Green for early activation since phoebe is pretty squishy in early game until level 5 for 30% dmg mitigation from True Strike. Playing with my Miko buddy i use a %Heal reception. Otherwise CD reduction. Maybe i replace that with some Boots as soon as i get a good pair for basic movement speed. Maybe that way i can use Helix 1, right side for silencing after the 3rd strike instead of 30% movement speed, but not sure yet.
Thorn: Move faster, Heal better and until I get her legendary anything that makes her gooder for that match.
Gear is really character dependent, and on the team/situation. In the beta, my best gear was shard generating and buildables cost reduction LLC gear, so I rolled that on ISIC (It helped that a shield item also helped with building) since he doesn’t need gear to wave clear or Charged snipe, and went nuts with building. Leveled up hella fast, and between eithr buildables or ISIC being ISIC, I averaged around 80+ minion kills with at least 9000 shards (Most I’ve ever gotten was 12k), all used throughout the game, with a fair amount of kills with few deaths (Play ISIC as fire support and you’ll have to try really hard to die). I know I did my part.
Or maybe ISIC is so badass you can afford to use all your gear for objective building and defense. Who knows. Love dat magnus tho.
Actually, all the LLC characters, given they’re pensity to stay distant, support, or hit and run, do extremely well with the LLC gear of building all the things.
Stack everything in one direction!
Benedict
Legendary Glove : +8% attack, + up to 8% attack based on how much health I have (8% at full) for 16%. +3.4% MS
Purple vest: +278 health, + 5.56% Attack
Green Magazine: +20.75% reload, -7% CC duration while everyone on CD, -14% helaing received.
Will change his reload item for a white one with some worthless negative or his legendary in the future.
Benedict loadout is probably the best one I can make for now. +23% attack and later, 27% attack is just insane on him.
My Kleese has a bunch of Shield with Skill damage related stuffs attaked with - reload for lowest cost possible. It’s lovely being able to deal 1.1k damage per Mortar with that Shield->Damage helix.
attack speed and power for both gear and skills for phoebe, and heal power and skill damage for ambra. however that’s just what i prefer, possibilities are endless
Ive actually been looking at doing a shard generating/buildables loadput since i have the henchmans wrench legendary and what u just told me makes me wanna do it more lol
I like running health and shield pen on el dragon lol thats a lot of fun too
Gamer tag? Add muslumonaplane
Im on ps4. Gamertag is inferno585 if anybody wants to play. At work now but will b home around 11pm eastern time
For battleborns that have lifesteal (usually melee) i use a lot of health gain (works on lifesteal) and movement speed, so many underestimates the usefulness of movement speed it seems, as ranged ofc movement speed is less of an issue.
I actually didnt know life gain affected life steal. Thats very interesting lol thank you
Wait, what accessories specifically impact life gain on attacks? Is it healing received? Like, that little badge (I think) would help any Jennerit?
Also, does +% to healing received count for health regeneration? I must know. I must feed the sustain. Might make a viable tank out of Attikus.
Also, agreed on movement speed. It counts while attacking and sprinting, right? That makes it crazy good for most melee. And Benedict if it affects flight speed.
I use health regen and sprint speed on Rath, with some attack dmg and attack speed to top it off. Best loadout I’ve found for him so far.
Still trying to find gear that works for what I want for Kelvin, but what I currently have is:
+Shield Max gear as Permafrost bonus is based off his shield max (they start at 300). I’ve got a blue right now that’s +108 base, and gives him +91 for 10 seconds after a minion kill. Hoping to find an Epic that is more of a flat bonus in the range of +200.
+Shield Regen gear, Eldrid characters CAN gain a permanent shield, it just fills slowly. Having that extra 300 damage to absorb when I first engage has saved me lots of times for it to be worth it. Currently using an Epic that grants +35.7 shield regen per second and -3.75 skill cooldown. My loadout is pretty expensive overall and that shield is more useful early on so I am currently looking for a cheaper gear that gets me enough regen for what I want.
+Max Health gear. While Kelvin can end the match with a lot of health, his lack of shields makes it tough to stay in the fight. His tier 1 mutation (+360 hp) and a decent HP gear can give him 25-30% extra health early in the game and lets me start out aggressive and spend less time dashing off to gobble up minions. I have a green piece right now that grants +201 max HP and another +91 if I’ve gone 3 minutes without dying.
KawaiiFrost, Healing received yes, that works on lifesteal, and healing received do not work on health regeneration.
Exactly, it makes you faster in all things, kiting, running, sprinting, fighting.
Played around with El Dragon last night to devastating effect. He has a level 5 helix mutation where his passive stacks give him +3% to skill damage, up to ten stacks. I ran with this with silly things like getting as little cooldown as possible. Total damage done in a Incursion match hit about 150k, but I really missed the movement speed. Badly.
Then I tried to just take the same mutation, but focus on increasing sprint and movement speed with buildables cost reduction gear. It got a little crazy. I ended up being several levels higher than the rest of the team and the other team. I’d focus on enemy turrets and building everything. You level up crazy fast like this. Remember, PvP kills for exp are a toss up, but building is guaranteed.
Tonight I’ll try pure building and objectives with slow to start characters. I got an epic shard generator that gives 1.82 shards per sec. and -11something build cost (Increases cooldown by 6ish percent, which El Dragon can laugh at but will hurt his Ult and every other character), gonna combine that with a blue wrench that lowers building cost and further lowers it for 30 seconds after building. All these stack for a potential -30ish% on building. The third slot might be something free or character dependent. I’ll see what I can do with Boldur or Attikus (The most snowballing characters in the game), the former not needing speed, the latter needing a ton.
What is scary is these items with a lvl5 ISIC specced for overcharged speed.
I’m looking for gear “with” a debuff to get it cheaper. Like healing for Champions with no such skil. Or shooting based debuffs for melee. Also shild debuffs for Eldrit.
Caldarius:
Blade of Transfusion
*Attack Speed
*Skill Damage
*50% ult lifesteal
His own legendary gear, not really much reason not to use this.
Endoskeletal Graft
*Attack Damage
Cald benefits strongly from attack damage since most of his damage comes from his gun. The variant I have (Eviscerating) also comes with attack speed, which is really great since his gun’s high base attack speed makes % boosts really effective.
Ability Catalyst
*Skill Damage
Not my first choice, but since I don’t have a good pair of shoes I use this, mainly because it’s also an Eviscerating version, so I get about 18% additional attack speed overall, and the skill damage does increase ult’s damage and lifesteal with legendary. Even when I do get a good movespeed gear, I’ll probably keep this one in a loadout in case they have lots of tanks and I’ll just be poking with flashbangs often.
