One that I pray never comes true.

Id like to give GBX the benefit of the doubt here that they wouldnt do that to the series at this point.

Maybe with some spin off, but not BL3 or any other continuation.

Really hope i dont end up eating my own words…

Apparently, there’s this video-sharing website where you can post videos of yourself saying any bloody old thing that springs to mind, without having to provide any evidence or argument at all.

I wonder if that’s the source?

I’m right there with you. But when someone says MMO I always feel compelled to protest the idea.

Incendiary against the Crimson Lance worked way better than it should have. Even setting aside the Hellfire the Volcano had little problem dispatching even Badasses without a character specializing in incendiary or sniper rifles (ie: Brick). This is chiefly what I had in mind when referencing incendiary often being overpowered. There were very few situations (namely: Guardians, specific fire immune monsters) incendiary didn’t excel at.

The corrosive debuff stacking really only ever became an issue against Badass Lance. Other enemies were better dispatched with the correct element or a high DPS weapon. Personally, even for Badass Lance I’d fire off a pair of rounds from a Defiler and then swap to a higher DPS weapon to finish them off while the debuff was active. For the first game it was probably most important as giving a good additional use to grenades (if Borderlands 2 and TPS did anything right for weapons it was greatly expanding grenade utility).

Of course, the corrosive stuff doesn’t matter as it won’t ever come back in its original incarnation with the introduction of slag. Slag was a good idea, just not when it became practically mandatory.

Well then I’m the one underutilizing incendiary. Corrosive has become the best element for me there. DPS only comes in when we have an obviously better gun (of matching/non element), which mostly is in the end game, and the end game also has Serpens (if you’re lucky enough like me), which is both high DPS and corrosive. Plus at end game the enemies are mostly Crimson Lance (thx to Farmory, and I don’t like Zombie DLC that much) besides Craw.

Anyway they already have the right balance between elements in BL2 (not TPS) besides slag, and also have good balance in enemy variation and mixes, in BL2 too. I hope they can make it right in BL3, or even do something better.

Definetly this.

Referencing that gun in BL2? Well I probably overused it lol

Indivitual loot would be boring. Perhaps it should be turned on or off whenever you want.

An enhanced movement system would be a nice little addition, just to another little thing to break up the monotony of just running everywhere. Also I kinda want to see some missions that go more into the backstory of the manufacturers, like some stuff on Jakobs, Maliwan, Vladof etc.

I like almost everything here, but for elements have the element rating. Basically I want the inside of bl1 and outside bl2

Ya see that’s what I get for believing here say.
Don’t know why and I have no source but just assumed it was going to be an mmo.

Played the hell out of Defiance for the past 3 years and on the whole it’s been a terrific experience and met loads of great people figuratively speaking.

But whatever the plans are for BL3 please make it enjoyable.
I can’t put my finger on what my core dislike for Bl2 was except it just didn’t seem to follow on from the original.

What do you get?

Same for any place. Or maybe you’ll end up disappointing people instead.

That’s your mistake. Get a source, a reliable one.

Yes, that’s what we’re hoping right? We’re on the same boat then.

Well then write them up, and post your ideas/thoughts on what you hope BL3 will have. Possibly on details, so we can have a discussion. This is not a thread for assumptions, this is a thread to discuss hopes, wishlists, desires, etc. for the next glorious game of Borderlands.

We all know everyone wants more storage as far as backpack and bank storage and I’m all for that. Maybe we could have the stash to trade items between characters right along with the bank storage, just bumper over one more page and have 10 or 12 spaces for trading between characters. That way it’s all right there in one spot. Make me pay eridium or whatever to upgrade but as long as it’s there I’m happy.

Semantics.
He hasn’t said anything that is out of place for this thread. His hopes is that its not an mmo. Thats a hope. A dream. It can go here.
Please dont dictate what others can and cannot say. It comes off extremely rude.

Well looks like I went off the line. Thanks, Kitty. I didn’t know that could be very rude. I thought his post could lead to something possibly off topic, so I replied.

I’m bad at semantics too, I’d say. Really bad at it. Didn’t catch that message.

I could have gone worse, to be honest. But I didn’t.

No just no to MMO. I would like the game to hold its core behavior of being a single player with multiplayer support.

Very rarely can a mmo game actually last for an extended period of time. Right now borderlands multiplayer is a pita to play with others because people have moved on; fortunately the game does not depend on multiplayer to be enjoyable.

In fact I am paying borderlands 1, if it was a mmo game i couldn’t play it because the game would depend on the presence of other players.

I would like a game that I can play 5 years later with no problem rather than having to depend on the popularity of the game to continue to enjoy it.

MMO is a terrible idea for a game like borderlands. They did cancel China exclusive borderlands online for profit concerns, hopefully they still feel the same.

To add to the thread I would like to see money be of more value in borderlands 3. Borderlands 1 money was much more valuable vs borderlands 2, I found myself purchasing new guns in bl1 where in bl2 I would rarely ever buy a gun because they’re generally garbage.

TPS was slightly improved with legendary weapons appearing periodically in vending machines. However they are very often ridiculously expensive and out of reach for purchase. I would like to see more blues and maybe some purple weapons as well.
